Timber & Salt is a downtown Redwood City restaurant and bar serving quality steaks, seafood and craft cocktails. Our kitchen, led by award-winning chef Joshua Regal serves fresh, seasonal dishes highlighting the best ingredients California has to offer. We also serve one of the best burgers in Silicon Valley. Our cocktail program features hand-crafted cocktails using select spirits, house made syrups, bitters, tinctures and specialty garnishes. We also feature a deep list of spirits, fine wines and specialty beer. Both the kitchen and bar utilize fresh ingredients from our farm in Woodside California. Timber & Salt has intimate indoor seating for over 50 guests and an enclosed, heated outdoor patio for up to 30 guests. We are open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

                                                                  Phenomenal place! Was my first time going and I will be back again! The food was absolutely incredible 10/10. The drinks equally amazing. Service was fast, staff was very attentive and quick with everything. The portions are very big and you can definitely split them amongst two people. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

                                                                  I always like Timber and Salt. The service is always excellent and the cocktails wonderful. The food this last time was not at the caliber I expect at Timber and Salt. Some of the food was not as fresh as I expect and The Brussel sprouts were not prepared like I've had them in the past. I will try Timber and Salt again - but it was not up to what I expect there.

                                                                  Timber & Salt is our go to “dinner and movie” spot whenever we see a movie at the Cinemark theaters in Redwood City. We live in S.F. but it’s worth the drive. We have always been seated when we arrive and the service is excellent. Portion sizes are incredible so my wife and I have to learn to pace ourselves. lol

                                                                  We’ve been a few times and are happy to return and support a local restaurant. The service is great, the food is really good all around, and the hostess (manager?) has impressed me with the little touches and things she remembers. My kids like going there because they have a chocolate cake that is really good. We will gladly return. Only thing is I do wish they had some good bread, but that doesn’t make or break the deal for me.

The server came to let us know the steaks were going to take longer because one had been overcooked, and wanted to re-do so they’re perfectly served. The new steaks finally came, and one was very overcooked (medium rare ordered, but actually well-done)

                                                                  The food is great. The brussel sprouts app was a standout, as were the burger and the baseball filet. The only downside was the charge for an iced tea refill - it was not a bottle and I was not told that refills are charged for. That's sketchy and diminished the overall experience.

                                                                  The place is cute but the steaks are frankly not very good, and they try to make up for it with an extensive selection of sauces. Folks, when a steak is good it does not need any sauce, just salt and pepper. Both the ribeye and filet mignon were supposed to be medium-rare but turned out medium; they were also not properly seared, with a slightly boiled-like texture which indicates too low cooking temperature.
