It was hard to hear each other, but it was a lively environment. They seemed short staffed so we had to wait a bit long for the service, but all of the workers are super kind.
Music was so loud we had to yell at each other & there was only 2 of us at a small table in the corner. Our waiter was occupied with every table but ours. He kept forgetting about us, it was taking 25+ minutes to get him over to the table to ask us if we wanted another drink & then another 20+ minutes for the drinks to show up. Really unfortunate. Probably won’t rush back….
Had a very good time here, though we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to come after our appetizers/meal had already arrived at the table.
Horrible service! Had to wait 20 minutes for a waitress to come over. Finally to hostess realized we had not been served yet and had a waitress come over. The place was not crowded and there were at least 5 wait staff just standing around.
The only negative was we made reservation and still got a table right near the door high seats not very comfortable. The ambiance and food were fantastic
Went for a friends birthday, very fun atmosphere. Great drinks. Decent food. Service a little slow but servers were very nice and accommodating of my friends birthday, even brought her cake and sang! I recommend ordering food and drinks ASAP to maximize your 90 minute reservation limit.
Don't believe the hype ! I ordered the pot stickers which are meant to be served fried ... they were boiled and when I took a bite it was cold. I saw Tiki Rock on instagram but I didn't read the reviews. Now I know it's all about the atmosphere and pictures but the food is garbage. The food was Asian but the workers had on Hawaiian shirts ? all over the place. will never go again !
Beautiful aesthetic. Love the new type of place and service. Food was overpriced but most important not great. I wouldn’t mind the price if the food was tasty. I enjoyed the environment the first time and just assumed my fish tacos were a bad choice. When i went back the second time i came to the conclusion it’s just not a good spot if you’re hungry. Cute for pics!
Had the crab cakes and fries with cole slaw, calamari, lobster guacamole and chips, oysters, bottle of wine, mixed shots, pineapple drink.
The oysters were great but you can’t mess up oysters.
Took my son here for his 21st birthday based off what he saw on IG. He ordered steak tips which were dry and not cooked well. My other son has lobster Mac and cheese for 26 dollars I'd expect a better quality of pasta cheese and meat. I got fish and chips which was overcooked and underwhelming. I probably won't even drive down this street again.
Being seated was quick everything else was not. Waited roughly 25-30 minutes for the drinks we ordered. The drink was absolutely disgusting. We ordered our appetizer waited another 20 minutes then ordered the food and wait roughly about 35 minutes. The crab cakes were cold and so weren’t the fries. My boyfriends chicken sandwich was poorly made and was also cold. We then decided to order Tito’s and soda and it came out straight vodka nothing else was mixed in it. This place has the audacity to think they’re great. The inside is really dusty and smells weird, the vibe is also weird and uncomfortable. I would not recommend.
The bouncer was rude and aggressive for no reason. Definitely not someone I’d have on the door if first impressions meant anything to me.
The waiter got the order mixed up a couple times.
The food was ok.
Server was great he had good energy. The food and drinks were amazing.
Great spot for strong, sweet drinks and scrummy, fattening food. Seasonal and house cocktails are all very good. Always packed to the brim. Waiters and waitresses are super heroes at this place! Highly recommend the Strawberry Mai Thai for maximum gulpability.
Food was excellent and very cool tropical vibe in the dining room. However, drinks orders took an average of 30 minutes to reach the table despite what seemed to be a more than adequate number of bartenders. Management might consider bringing in Bar Rescue to create a more efficient bar service - additional training is needed.
I really like the food and drinks at Tiki Rock but on this occasion, they were severely understaffed and as a result, we waited 20 minutes after being seated before the waiter acknowledged/visited our table. After ordering, we received our entrees first and the drinks we ordered did not arrive until the food was almost completely gone. Disappointed in the service as I had brought 3 others with me who had never been to Tiki Rock before. With so many other great restaurants in Boston, I’ll have to decide if it’s worth going to in the future
Not worth it in my opinion, would only go for the “tiki” experience. The vibe was fun - 80s music (a little too loud) and fun lights/decor. Food was ALL in fried form. I believe the quality of food was comparable to a diner, but the price was that of a higher quality restaurant.
The general manager was entertaining and very friendky
I enjoyed Tiki Rock and the food was AMAZING. There were times, when we had to wait or look for waiter/waitress for our table. Other than that, it was good vibe and will definitely go back.
If you go, the Crab Cakes are a MUST !!!
The ambiance and decoration of the place is outstanding! Definitely a place to grab drinks and have a fun night. Service was pretty slow but once we ordered the food came out fast. Food was good.
Overpriced beverages, ok food, but the trivia night was so loud it was unenjoyable. Was hoping for a true tiki bar, this is definitely not.
Good meal. My salmon was excellent. My sons swordfish was a bit tough but still tasty. We also ordered the calamari which was on the heavier side for breading but we liked. My wife’s poke bowl was solid. My daughter’s pho was good.
My friends and I enjoyed our date night there. They hadn’t been out in a while being new moms. The drinks, food and customer service was great. The value for the food was reasonable. The parking garage is right across from the restaurant. I would come back again.
The waitress did a good job recommending her favs on the menu and we weren’t disappointed. Happy hours $1 oysters were refreshing.
We ordered a dozen oysters, calamaris, Buffalo chicken wings, truffle fries, miso salmon, shrimp, a margarita and a mischievous pineapple drink. We had a ball.
Delicious food, great tiki drinks, and fun atmosphere.
The service was very very slow, I am assuming because they were understaffed as our waiter was taking care of nearly half of the restaurant.
The drinks were also underwhelming, I was under the impression everything would come in a fun tiki glass but we had to specifically ask for one which seemed to be a large burden to the waiter.
The menu did have a lot of good and interesting options. Once our food did arrive, it was alright but the wait was ridiculous.
I booked my reservation for my birthday having never been and was really excited to try it but was disappointed overall.
The miso salmon dish is the best dish to eat in my opinion
Food was OK nothing special and very overpriced. Service took forever. It took like 30 minutes to get a cocktail. We were basically done eating when we finally got our drinks. Servers were nice but seemed really lost and busy like they were understaffed. They also seemed very inexperienced. The ambiance felt clubbish which we didn’t like. The music was way too loud and we were yelling at each other to hear. Overall, I wouldn’t come back here. $86 for some chicken tenders, fish tacos, one cocktail and bad service. Ridiculous.
Got to reservations earlier than scheduled but was able to still be seated and have amazing service!
Great ambience, vibe, service.
Mai thai was mediocre to be that expensive.
Literally no vegetarian options other than salad and 2 appetizers. No substitutions possible.
i asked for fries, but i got rice. the rice was good still!
Not the servers fault but they need a better system considering the time we waited to be served
The overall energy of the restaurant was so fun and inviting there was never a dull moment with such great service and the food and amazing drinks my friends and I will definitely come back to enjoy again.
Horrible service! We only managed to place an order for food an hour after we were seated, waiter did not check up on us at all. Everyone who came after us got all their drinks and food before us, when the food finally came my shrimp was terribly over cooked, the whole experience was just awful. The final straw was when I asked for my drink and was asked what drink after waiting over 20minutes .This was a first time for a birthday celebration and I am very disappointed.
Amazing place, super good food and fun loud music. Amazing service too! Great place for a fun date night or night out with friends.
First time here, love the place, food was good, amazing atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again.
Fried calamari was amazing, super loud music, tables are small as well.
Great spot! Outdoor heaters do not work.
Great music, great vibe, excellent drinks and good food
We had an amazing time last night!! Server and people were amazing!
Chicken tenders came out burnt at to send them back, we had all finished eating by the time waiter came to check on us to see how everything was. Best calamari though and I had the curry rice bowl and that was good.
This was my second time going to Tiki Rock. I liked the first time better because I went at night And they played music and really good music at bat. The next time I went was at 5 PM and they did not play music and it was a different five but I still enjoyed myself. I had a great time with my family and the service was spectacular however they did charge us for a spilled drink when I think they could’ve let that go.Overall I love Tiki rock and plan to go there in the future again.
