Tiki Iniki - Atlanta
We decided to try somewhere different than our usual brunch place. When we arrived, Tiki was empty but it was cool looking with all of the decorations. We decided to stay because we thought we were avoiding the crowds. We ordered the Bottomless mimosas which was watered down from all of the ice that was in the pitcher. I ordered the bao sliders and they were very greasy and lacked seasoning. My other half ordered wings which were good. Our friend ordered the pancakes and they were burnt. The waitress kept our glasses refilled but not very attentive. Entertaining decor but very disappointed in the food and drinks.
The decor and ambiance was really cute, but that's all they have going for them. We went for brunch and were really let down.
Service was just awful. The waitress did not have a clue about what was going on at all. At one point, there was a spill at our table, so we asked for napkins, which she failed to bring. So then we had to ask again and asked for a towel this time cause she had one in her back pocket. She then leaves and go gets another towel. All the while there's spilled mimosa trickling down on everyone's feet. We had to ask for refills every single time, not once did she bring them on her own. When I had a problem with my food, she didn't apologize, offer to speak with the kitchen, offer something else, or offer to bring the manager. She just said "yeah" and nothing else. There were 2 other parties in the restaurant yet somehow the food took an hour to come out and the waitress would disappear for 20 minutes at a time.
The food was way overpriced and sub-par. Nothing seemed fresh or Hawaiian. The macaroni salad had no seasonings or vegetables in it, just noodles and mayonnaise. The breakfast sandwiches were burned. The so called big kahuna burger was as small as a McDonald's burger and over cooked. It had been sitting in the kitchen so long, the bottom bun had disintegrated by the time it got to the table. The turkey bacon was undercooked and inedible. They used American cheese on everything and didn't even bother to mix it in the scrambled eggs. It was just sitting on top like they do at Waffle House (for a tenth of the price.)
The bottomless mimosas are just bottomless orange juice served on ice. A few people in our party had 5 or 6 and did not feel anything. No wonder they're so cheap.
Maybe it's better for other meals or just drinks, but do not go for brunch.
I recommend paying attention to the reviews for this restaurant. Atmosphere is cool and food was good, but the service was definitely lacking. It took an HOUR for our food to arrive after ordering, and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant—a party of 4 and a party of 2. I knew more about the menu than the waitress. Thankfully there were bottomless mimosas for brunch. I can only imagine how long the food would take if the place were busy. I was really excited to have a tiki bar nearby, but doubt that we will return—at least not to eat...
Went for Mother's Day Brunch because it sounded really fun and we love Hawaiian food. Turned out to be probably the worst dining experience we've had in Atlanta. Four of us arrived for 11:15am reservation along with one other party of six, other than that the place was empty. Took over half an hour for two appetizers to arrive and another hour for entrees to come to the table. Ordered vegetable tempura, got chicken tempura. Ordered chicken dumplings, but the ones we got were filled with veggies. Ordered avocado toast and got a sliced half avocado alone on a plate. The appetizers were warm but extremely greasy. The entrees were cold, including the eggs and bacon. When it was pointed out to our server that the order had been for avocado toast not just avocado, the reply was "oh". No offer to do anything about it, no apology, nothing but "oh". One person ordered french toast and was told they were out of it. While we were sitting there, a man in a flowered shirt came in with a woman and two children. Must have been an owner or employee of some kind because he got menus, went behind the bar to enter their orders in the computer, then went into the kitchen. About 15 minutes later the young girl at his table got a big plate of french toast. Surprise! Guess you only get what you order if you know somebody or work there. Love to try new places and had high hopes for this one. Between the poor quality of the food, the abysmal service and the obvious lack of care for customers, all I can say is been there, done that, won't ever bother to do it again.
Fun bar with super dry rub ribs and the fries are the best around! Love the creative drinks in tiki glasses!
Drinks were HUGE, food was good, service was fast.
We went for brunch, and were one of only two or three couples in the entire place. Despite that, service was glacially slow and prices were quite high. The drinks were great - good recipes, well made. Our appetizer was good, but the food went downhill fast from there. Our entrees took forever to arrive, and my pancakes were burnt. It took forever to get the check, and I eventually had to take it to the bartender to pay it (because our waiter vanished for a half-hour after dropping it off).
Overall, I wouldn’t go to Tiki Iniki again, and if dragged there by friends, I’d only order drinks.
No one was at the front to greet me as we came in. About 5 minutes later a gentleman came and seated us, brought us a glass of water and for 45 minutes we sat at the table listening to the music unattended to. So we left@
We were the first people in the place for brunch on a Sunday at 11:30. It took 45 minutes for our food and 5 minutes each time we asked for something i.e. ketchup. There were no appetizers for brunch. The bottomless mimosas were as weak as plain OJ and the food portions were so small that we had to go out to lunch right after because be that time we were starving!!
5 of us arrived on time for our 7 p.m. reservation outside. An employee greeted us and said she'd be right with us. When she returned, we let her know that we were there for our 7 p.m. reservation and she said "sit anywhere you want". We informed her that our reservation was for outside and she said "well it's full". We asked if we could wait and she said "nah, it's nice outside, so everyone is just chilling". So we said "then I guess we will leave then". She said "o.k.". So basically all the bad reviews of service are spot on. We originally thought we'd give it a try anyway for at least a drink. But now we have no interest in returning.
My girlfriends and I met for Saturday brunch. We were greeted by the staff before entering the establishment with a warm welcome. Although it was our first time, we were made to feel like regulars
So disappointed! It was my friend's birthday and we were very excited about trying this place. We arrived for our 12:30 reservation and no one was at the host stand. After waiting several minutes, I approached the bartender and asked him where we should check in. He grabbed an iPad and said he had a table for us in the corner. On the way to our table, some customers stopped him to say they had been waiting an hour for their food. We sat at our table and noticed that both of the tables next to us were unhappy with their meals. The man next to us asked his server where the dip for his fruit plate was and she replied "Does the menu say it gets dip?" She never acknowledged our table. We sat for several more minutes, but no one ever came to the table and we were getting increasingly hungry. Shortly before 1pm, we left and went next door to the Warren City Club for a very nice brunch.
Arrived early for our reservation and waited several minutes past our reservation. There was no one at the host stand. People came in about 15 minutes after was and the host seated them first. Service was not good.
Unfortunately it was a disaster.
We arrived and the kitchen was closed due an issue.
After 50 minutes they took our order... only after more 45 minutes food was served.
And the food was without seasoning, the rice on my Moco Loco cake was not cooked, almost raw.
we don't even complain as the waiter was out for 20 minutes...
I don't know if this was 1 bad they for them, but I don't plan to go there again.
We had our reservation and when we got there they didnt want to seat us where we had booked for at first! Then we had about 3 Male servers say they were going to take care of us and it took over 30 mins to get water and our first round of drinks and we waited 50mins more and never got any of the food we ordered! Horrible and slow service DONT RECOMMEND!!!!
Some of the servers need training. Food was blan. The atmosphere was perfect. Very chill vibes from everyone.
Really enjoyed this place I will be definitely going back
Food was not bad. If you order wine or beer be sure and ask price. Two very small serving of wine $22. Pretty outrageous for a bottle of wine that probably didn't cost $10 at the store.
The food arrived cold and was not appetizing. The drinks were subpar and extremely overpriced. I was excited to try Tiki Iniki, but I do not think it will be in this location long.
The food, the service, the ambiance and of course our server, John was amazing! Fantastic music choice! We’ll definitely be back!
Enjoyed the vibe and feel of Tiki Iniki! Food was amazing - the cantaloupe speck pasta was such a good choice. Went with the mai tai and it didn’t disappoint. Great place to meet up with friends after a day at work or on the weekend.
Thumping rap and football on TV. Not very “Polynesian.” The food might be great, we didn’t stay long enough to find out.
Amazing ambiance and awesome staff but most importantly it is an authentic tiki bar with authentic drinks 10/10
We arrived at 7 pm on Sunday evening to find they were only serving brunch. At night. Nothing in their webpage states that they only have brunch all day on Sunday. Nor does anything in their webpage say anything about Hookah smoking, but yet every table was smoking one and the small restaurant was filled with the smell. Between the lack of ambiance and the lack of dinner items on the menu, we opted not to stay. I doubt we’ll try again despite me being a fan of Tiki bars.
Great drinks and very friendly, attentive service. Were there for dinner on a Sunday night but didn’t realize that only the brunch menu is served all day. Will be back!
Ventured to Tiki Iniki with a few friends for Sunday Brunch. The bottomless Mimosas are amazing. The drinks are very unique as each cocktail comes in a cool tiki cup or in our case a tiki tub which served 3 people. This place is perfectly themed and will become a hotspot for locals.
Food was good overall.. The drinks were not that great but was kool
Drinks were tasty. Waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. Decor was spot on for the tiki vibe. Food was disappointing and a bit too fru fru. I ordered a poke bowl and it had a lot going on. Limited menu for vegetarians but they are willing to accommodate. Would have much preferred some basic bar favs like coconut shrimp. I will definitely go back for the drinks and have dinner somewhere else.
The prices for the food can't be beat. The burger is rich, filling, and has a nice kick to it.
