   Very nice place to eat. We enjoyed the crab cakes and the pan roast. The prices are reasonable and the service was great. Good little restaurant to go to.

   First timer took my spouse out she doesn’t like eating out but myself and y wife was amazed great staff great food great work in general clam chowder was delicious. Will be coming back

   This was the third time coming to Tides and our most disappointing visit. I asked for a booth for my family of four and the host put us in a table. My three family members have back packs but because we didn't get a booth they had to msi the backpacks with them so it's wasn't very comfortable for them. A few minutes later we see the host seating a couple at a booth! Just didn't make any sense. Our server was good and the food was good also.

   I ordered the New England clam chowder which was wonderful! thick creamy filled with clams. I also ordered the fish and chips which was very good but it came too soon after the soup. they need to be more aware in the kitchen of where you are within the eating cycle instead of shoveling food in front of you just to get it out of the kitchen. My waitress Shannon was delightful very professional friendly and attentive.

    The Soups were exceptional. The crab cakes were overcooked ,hard, poor taste with no crab to be tasted. My husband liked the fried Shrimp but his French Fries bland no seasoning were not good. My Lobster Roll was underwhelming but my French Fries were good with nice seasoning.

    Made an early dinner reservation at Tides for 5:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday ordered clam chowder, both bowls were lukewarm in an empty restaurant, so somebody’s not heating up food. Bread was stale as well and considering how few diners were there it was hard to believe how good this restaurant used to be and how much it’s changed. The last time service was awful too but we thought to give Tides another chance, but it was still bad.

    Went on Valentines, wife had the special which was a Lobster risotto. So she ordered it without mushrooms, and when it arrived it definitely was not risotto, it looked like yellow rice pilaf with pieces of lobster on top. I brought it up to server that the risotto should be creamy, cheesy , starchy consistency, she just kinda shrugged and smiled. Wife was super hungry so she did eat it, I had a taste too, it didn’t taste bad for rice pilaf lobster, but something you would expect from a Cafe, except the perfectly placed (red side up) 2 tablespoons of lobster pieces. Also, we were leaving about 8:45-9:00, and they were completely out of deserts! I asked, “nothing?” Not one piece of cake, pie, ice cream, nothing? She went and looked, but came back empty. Manager didn’t come by once to check, you would think if kitchen ran out of desserts on Valentine’s Day the manager would be at least coming by to apologize. Btw, I had the fried shrimp, big portion but reminded me of Long John Silvers.

    Tides has become one of our “go-to” spots for oysters. This time we went for Valentines’ Day. They were out of many of their oysters, but the beausoleil oysters were fresh and cold. Their New England clam chowder is excellent, and their pan roasts are amazing. Anne, our server, was professional, friendly, and timely even with the VD crowds. Ambience is casual and “casino-like,” but pleasant, lively, and clean. Definitely recommend.

    It wasn’t what we wanted for a romantic date night. The waitress was in a hurry. She rushed us. The server that gave us bread just dropped it on the table and left. We ordered drinks and they were terrible. I couldn’t finish mine.

    Been to Tides numerous times. The food is always well prepared and a god value compared to its competitors. It is located right next to the casino, so the noise can be a bit much and if someone is smoking nearby, it can be smelled. It's not fancy, it's just good.

    Liza provided stellar service. I was looking forward to the mini-loaf of sourdough bread after having sat through a movie without any snacks but the bread was stale. I'm guessing it was stale. Normally, I love the Tides' sourdough bread but it just didn't taste good, so I'm guessing stale. And I get so tired (of most restaurants) serving it with butter patties that are cold and hard rather than softened butter which easily spreads. I ordered the salmon even though it was, I presume, farmed. (Yuck. The menu didn't specify "fresh" or "fresh caught" or anything else, so I assume it was farm raised.) It was very good; I just tried to not think about it in a fish "farm." I'm avoiding rice so Liza suggesting putting the salmon on a bed of grilled asparagus. Genius! It was delicious. My husband ordered Jambalaya "mild." Which is what he got. The serving was generous; he only ate about a third of it. You may order the Jambalaya mild, medium or spicy. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary, so the restaurant comped us dessert. I chose the beignets and took them home with us. They were good, not great. We've been eating at Tides for a very long time because it's easy, not noisy, we can always get in, and the food is consistently good.

    Food and wait staff was excellent but overall prices have gotten ridiculous. I understand costs and price increases but going up an average of 8-12$ per entrées are excessive on everyday dining. Service waiter did his part to make the evening enjoyable but will re-evaluate on dining vs cost’s. Restaurant is loud and for an everyday experience nothing stands out on ambiance.
