Margs pitcher was a little less then expected.. for the $50 cost.
Absolutely the best shrimp tacos I have ever had. The flavor just bursts in your mouth with the first bite. Also had three sushi rolls that were excellent, though a little pricey compared to similar rolls in Northern Virginia. Miso soup excellent as well. The Mula cocktail with Monkey Shoulder scotch was phenom. I cannot wait to make the trip back and will focus more on their tacos and small płates. Highly recommended!!!
Our server was excellent but the kitchen, on a very slow night, was:off. We got our desert before the sushi we ordered ..got a:bowl of soup while waiting for dessert to come back...Food very good and restaurant week is a:bsrgin
The nachos were wonderful!
Brunch at Tico was good! There are a good variety of food options and they keep the drinks coming if you opt for the bottomless drinks options. Definitely recommend going here!
It was our first bottomless tapas and mimosas experience. We enjoyed the opportunity to taste all of the options and our waiter was very patient and attentive. Definitely would recommend the dumplings and fried potatoes! Will try bottomless margaritas next time we visit
I always recommend this place because the food is so good. This time around we did have a rude server but the manager made up for it.
Bottomless food and mimosas is always great. However, I have had better bottomless brunch at other places. The chicken tacos and French Toast Churros were good, but the service was terrible. I understand that there is a 90 minute time limit per table, but do not be rude when taking orders, rushing people to make selections, and then rarely coming back to the table to take additional orders. "choose 5.. choose 5! okay give me 2 more!" when I'm trying to LOOK AT THE MENU to see what I want to eat! Meanwhile, you are rushing me to make selections and making me feel like I HAVE TO CHOOSE right this moment!
I won't go back here. There are better options.
It was way better than we expected. Perfect portions for our group and we all left satisfied! The ambiance is great, it gives you farm-to-table, yet modern day millennial vibe. The food was amazing. We purchased the bottomless brunch.
The food at brunch was great everyone loved it! However our service was really poor that day. Our servers had a lot of attitude and would walk away before we were even finished talking.
Amazing service from start to finish. I strongly recommend ordering the glazed ribs- you won’t regret it.
Only negative was the tables were gross. So sticky the plates and glasses were stuck to the table.
Very fun location to eat. However, one complaint I have is the address on the confirmation email received took me to a different location. I don’t know why that is.
False advertisement! They claimed that they had ramen noodles but it wasn’t the case. Food was mediocre. Service was not that great. Won’t go back and won’t recommend
I had a great time at Tico! Food and vibes were great. I just wish the server would have notified us that our time was running out so that we could get our last round of drinks in. We tried to order more mimosas and he just told us no because our time was up even though he didn't warn us before hand. Overall great time and I would definitely come back.
Tico never misses. One of my fav spots in the U St 14th st corridor are
This is by far the best brunch place in DC. I’ve been here at least 5 times over the past year, and every single time, I am blown away by the exceptional service. I absolutely love getting the chance to eat here - can’t recommend it enough!!!
Very rushed. Rude staff. Did not enjoy our brunch. I’ve been multiple times before and this was definitely not a positive experience. Will not return
Great food, quick service. Very nice experience.
Great place for dinner before live music at Lincoln Theatre!
The food was amazing! The staff were great and enjoyed every minute of my experience. Thank you everyone at the restaurant.
The food was good but the service was just not good, i didn’t get some of the plates i ordered and it took forever for the server to come back around to the table
Tico is the best brunch spot in dc great food and best all you can drink menu with cocktails and mimosas included
The price-fixed menu wasn’t favorable. Nor were the portion sizes.
The food was great (especially the Korean BBQ ribs!!) but the drinks were subpar. We got the margarita flights and they all tasted the same and were watery. Would definitely go again and just stick to beer or wine!
Tico was amazing! We went for the bottomless brunch which had a bottomless drinks option which of course we did! I recommend the tropical margarita and red sangria! Also the French toast churros are so damn good! Our server was amazing I wish I could remember his name he had blued eyes and short blond hair, his energy was everything. Amazing place and food and service :)
The food at Tico is so incredibly flavorful and well made and the service is super friendly and fast. This is the second time I've done bottomless brunch (both for food and drinks) and even though I sort of hate the concept of brunch and how expensive it tends to be, I think this is worth it and I would definitely go back again.
Some good things to note from this particular experience (I called to ask beforehand): 1) the weather was nice enough that the large bay windows were open, so the open air makes it more doable than some other places for those looking to avoid indoor dining; 2) everything currently on the brunch menu can be or is already gluten free except the mac and cheese, quesadillas, churros, and dumplings. My friend who is GF was given some extra corn tortillas upon request and was generally able to enjoy of plenty of the other delicious food.
Wonderful brunch. Great service. Will return soon.
The street tacos were delicious, I would absolutely go back to have them again! The waitress we had was mediocre, half attentive and half lost in her own world, she didn’t really ever come over to the table to ask if we needed anything aside from taking our order. Other than that the place is great!
We did not have a waiter for the entire night. We sat down at 7:15, no one came over for 30 minutes, so I asked someone who walked by for a menu. We had to wave someone over to order drinks, appetizers and dinner, and the food never came out. We were there for 2 hours when a manager finally came over and interrupted me asking for a waiter and said “we are a popular restaurant. This is what dining with us on the weekend is like.” Our fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt and staying that long… the restaurant was only half full. We left at 10pm after getting one order of guac and one glass of wine. Nothing else had come out.
Love the weekend bottomless brunch!
Had a great time and great food!
This was my first time dining in Tico, the sushi was amazing, our server Brian received an A+, he was awesome. I would recommend this restaurant every time💚
Terrible food and terrible service
Birthday with friends
For the most part the food was underwhelming. The food wasn't terrible, just not delicious or exciting. I believe this will be the last time I will visit this restaurant.
Great food, great drinks. Wish the waiter came around a little more though.
The waiters are few and far in between, and the price you pay for bottomless is really tapas for the whole table. Personally, I was disappointed in having to wait sooo long to be able to order. It made bottomless drink worthless, and the host rushed you out when you reach 90 minutes. No honey, you can’t have it both ways. Either increase the number of serves you have, or adjust your brunch times.
The food was good, overall. However, upon arriving we told the host that there was a peanut allergy in our party, asked him he let the servers/kitchens know. He responded back not a problem, there aren't any peanuts in any of their foods. This was fine until it wasn't, there was a cabbage salad with crushed peanuts on top. We told them and they quickly took the plate away, gave new silverware, etc. The host explained that they normally used something else, and this must be a substitution. Except we checked online and the menu stated peanuts. When it comes to food allergies, especially life threatening ones, please double check.
