We had the Bottomless Brunch and Bottomless drinks. The food choices were plentiful and were tasty. Unlike some bottomless drink service, the drinks were not watered down and were tasty. We had a terrific window seat, in a corner with lots of circulating air. The staff was masked and the tables were adequately spaced for Covid compliance. The only suggestion I’d make is the restaurant should go to a touchless way to pay the check. The menus were available on our phones, which allowed for a touchless process there.
We definitely plan to return to Tico DC!
Great service and great food. All around Great Experience
Love the ability to order off of both menus. Great flavors.
Overall pretty good but the service was very abrupt and had to flag down someone for assistance throughout the visit. The Churros were excellent. Will definitely return. Thank you.
Disappointing!
Our waiter Michael was such an amazing guy helping us with the menu and giving us recommendations! He made our brunch so much better! Food was good!
Amazing! Good service and great food. A little pricy but worth it!
Good atmosphere. Food was very good.
Bottomless brunch was a great deal. Churros end brunch nachos were amazing! Definitely recommend
Server was great and made sure we got refills every time we were running low. The food was great I love their potatoes and that they do tapas style having one entrée can be very overwhelming. the décor is very nice and a great place to come grab food and drinks with friends
Man Sushi was amazing
Loved it for HH !
Went there on my birthday weekend. The staff was prompt, friendly and very welcoming. No complaints.
Went for brunch and it was amazing. We did the upgraded drinks (worth it) the best tapa for us was the brisket. The service and food were amazing. Definitely coming back for brunch.
4th visit and the menu has changed dramatically. Things such as cactus petals are no longer. Now offering sushi in a Mexican restaurant. That is like offering French food in a Chinese restaurant. Wife and daughters meat was raw. Medium rare is 132 with a therm and I might suggest they start using therms versus eyeballing it. And a entree served on a 8 inch plate with all of the supposed sides dropped on top? When your me I say crab cakes that is plural which means more then 1. Manager was kind and apologetic. Super guy. But for 6 people $359 with tip is a rip off and you comped one dish as well. So sad that you have had that much of a changeover in everything you were know for.
The ramen was out of this world!!!
Tried brunch here for the first time and wondered why it took me forever to find this place! Awesome food and drinks, great deal for a great price.
Great food and service ! Highly recommend .
Great brunch spot. Great service with tasty food
The food and drink (tacos and margaritas) were excellent. Our server was attentive and kind, however, the maitre d' was incredibly rude to our group and to most guests who entered the door. He acted as if everyone who entered the door was a bother to him and treated most customers as such. He shoved a hand sanitizer bottle in our faces and became noticeably irritated when we declined (we brought our own hand sanitizer.) He cut us off mid sentence when we asked about the status of our table. Once seated, he stomped around the restaurant glaring at everyone (customers and staff), making the wait-staff noticeably uncomfortable. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told that this same person was also the manager on duty. I understand that we can all have a bad day, but this was on a different level. We love this restaurant, but will not be returning to Tico for quite some time.
Very very fun and friendly staff. Love the food and drinks for brunch! Thank you!
Our server (Lawrence I believe was his name) was amazing. The combo of Asian and Mexican food was great. Cocktails were fresh & delicious. 10/10 will be back again!!!
Great food & terrific service!
The food is good, a great combination of Latin food and Japanese, great sushi rolls and awesome carne asada. The cocktail menu is very good. I was disappointed since we could not use our Opentable points, as promised on Opentable website , but they were nice deducting our first drinks as comp. I would recommend clarifying the use or a better communication between the restaurant and Opentable. What's the point of a perk advertised if you can not enjoy it? I understand the situation restaurants are going through now but you can't advertise that you take Opentable perks and then deny it once you are at the restaurant. Overall experience was good , I would return
Our server was so helpful and nice. The sushi was AMAZING. Definitely would return again
This was a terrible experience. I used to come here often with friends and family but I will never be returning. The service was terrible. Our waiter never checked on us, he did not refill our water, etc. The food was awful (we got fish tacos) and they were extremely dry and bland. We also ordered a side of potatoes that came out 15 minutes after we had finished our meal. Also, after redoing their menu, the options are far worse than they used to be and not good. At the end I politely told the manager I was disappointed with our service that evening, and he was unbelievably rude and completely brushed it off without offering a single ounce of care or concern. Typical of a privileged white man and I am a minority woman. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I will never return here. Horrible experience.
The food was cold and it took forever to get some orders it felt rushed with the time limit they give you
This place was amazing! Our waiter was very engaging and helpful with our experience.
This place rocks! We did sushi and tacos. The sushi was fresh and the specialty rolls super creative! Steak tacos took me straight back to Costa Rica!
Absolutely loved Tico as always! The employees are always the nicest and take care of everyone as if it were all of our birthdays.
Great service, great food, seated quickly and knowledgeable wait-staff
We were not fans of the sushi here. It was overpriced for the quality of the Sushi.
Food so good I will definitely have to go back. Waiter did not seem as familiar with the Nama menu. Other than that overall nice experience.
Not a bad brunch option. Atmosphere was great, service was nice. Most of the food seemed to be a bit under seasoned, to the point we had to request hot sauce, butter, salt, etc to add. Overall I would go back.
This restaurant is seriously overpriced. I ordered a sushi roll that was not special at all. I've honestly had better tasting sushi at a grocery store. I also ordered a margarita, which is very small by the way. Bill was $38 after tip and tax. I still cannot believe I paid that much, and the ambiance was quiet, barely anyone was there. My friend was turning 21, I regret coming to this place.
Menus selection limited and too much pork on menu. It’s not the Ticos it used to be.
Staff was great! Service was fast and we were allowed to take our time and not rushed for brunch.
The service was awful. We got our food before drinks. The food was not well seasoned and was lackluster. Drinks were bad. I’ve been to this place 4 times and it has progressively gotten worse as time goes on. They should invest less in the ambiance (which is nice) and more on the things that will make people come back like...good food, drink, and a wait staff that hustles. Cannot imagine how this place would do post-pandemic.
They switched the menu since I had been there last - but food was still delicious. Service was great.
The kitchen shouldn’t close right at 10 when you have reservations for 10pm
