The ambiance was nice & quiet. The host & servers were attentive & polite. They did check for our vaccination cards. The roast beef club with fries was good. The cappuccino was more froth than liquid. The salmon with risotto was a large serving, but unfortunately no seasoning.
Good solid Diner Food. Burgers were filling and cooked to order. French fries were shoestring style and were EXCELLENT. Only complaint...No Pickel...in NYC? That's blasphemy :)
We had been to some great restaurants on our trip but this one was disappointing. It took longer to get a glass of water than to get my food. The servers weren’t communicating. I watched one server go around with a tray of waters to pass them out and he ran out before he got to me. He never returned. I kept being assured I would eventually get something to drink but my food arrived and nothing. Food was mostly hot, it was cold in the middle. Their menu online wasn’t what they offered inside. It was the main reason we came. I wouldn’t recommend
Not a good place to go
French toast was tasty, verrrry large portion
Mediocre. Kinda overpriced. I’d skip and hit an actual diner.
Very good food. Service was a little slow, but it was off hours.
Had a great time. Waiter was super nice . Food was delicious the burgers were cooked to the correct temp and the drinks were good as well.
Food was excellent and love the decor!
Tick tick was suggested to me for breakfast. I’m not a breakfast eater, so went for lunch. Ordered the pastrami sandwich which was pastrami meat on toasted bread. Dry as a bone. No lettuce, tomato, Mayo, mustard, cheese..NOTHING.
Needless to say, I can not recommend for lunch.
Really good food and great portions!
below average terribly expensive. will never go back.
Quick and professional Servers. Food was 100% correct even with multiple modifications. Definitely will return again.
Going down stairs to go to bathroom was a little much. No toilet paper and messy.
Tick Tock is located in a great area and perfect for lunch after shopping. If you’ve spent a lot you’ll like the reasonable prices at this restaurant. The service is okay and they don’t rush you to leave. I love their salads.
It was a nice diner. Not too expensive and very fast with our orders
They were terribly understaffed and the server didn’t acknowledge us after we sat down. They came 15 minutes later to greet us and took our order, didn’t even bring waters for us as normal servers would. Food wasn’t the best either, just wanted to leave ASAP and had to hold the check in the air for 5 minutes before the server noticed. They were nice but just too busy to give us good service.
We went at a sow time, and it was practically empty. The food was ok, and the service a little slow.
This place was great the food was great as well as for the service and ambiance the waiter was polite, nice and very friendly I would definitely go back and hopefully we get him again. Thanks Tick Tock
I had been to this diner before a few years ago. I had Lemon Ricotta Pancakes that were fantastic. I looked online and saw they still had them so I booked a breakfast on my birthday to have them. I get there and they aren't following COVID precautions properly. They are supposed to take your temperature when you enter and have you provide your name, phone number and address for contact tracing. The woman taking temps was scanning the back of people's hands and not their forehead or wrist and no contact info was taken. They sat people at tables right next to each other and had no patricians in between. To make matters worse, no Lemon Ricotta Pancakes! They took them off the menu but didn't bother to take them off the website. We got omelets instead and they were greasy and had bits of ingredients we didn't ask for (like bell peppers) indicating they weren't cleaning their grill very well in between orders. Two bad omelets, one order of limp bacon, and two coffees with tip was over $50! Save your money and go elsewhere.
Food was really good, cooking time was fast but everything felt fresh and on point, waitresses were friendly and gave the place a warm atmosphere, we went for a family weekend brunch. But we all agree that we are definitely going to come back and maybe turn it into a routine. It’s hard to find a place where you don’t have complains about it.
The staff was courteous. My food came out quickly, and it was delicious. I ordered the Oreo Cookie pancakes. The price for my meal was not expensive. I would definitely go back to Tick Tock.
waitress was rude and the food was nasty; another guest did pay for my boyfriend and i's food so that was the highlight of our experience at tick tock diner
We love the breakfast at Tick Tock and they even offer healthy options.
Nice place, affordable food
If you are looking for a traditional NY type diner near Penn Station/Madison Square Garden area - this is a great stop. We wanted a diner that took reservations and was reasonably priced for brunch that could comfortably seat 5. This is a really nice size place. The service was good and my greek omelet was delicious. The kids loved their burgers.
Brought a friend here as I had visited 2 years ago and loved everything about it. The service had been wonderful & the food was delicious.
Unfortunately this was not the case on my last visit on 6th March. The service was appalling, the waiter was just short of falling asleep taking our order and could not have been less interested!! Food was a big let down compared to my last visit too. Not sure if this is down to Covid but we both left feeling so disappointed and hungry despite having spent $70 before tip!!! Such a let down. Before this visit I told everyone visiting NYC to go here and now I’m sorry to say I would never recommend it again.
Great taste and value eats. Would go again. Location is good also since I was attending a Ranger game at MSG.
The bacon, coffee and the cheese burger were all good. I didn’t like the french fries, they were seasoned with something I didn’t like. The service was good.
Waiter did not come to our table after taking our order. Had to get up to get our own napkins. Service was really bad
Great service love our breakfast!!!
Closed due to COVID-19. Not sure who runs this but this has been closed.
Dinner wasn’t even open
I went there on the date and time of my booking. It turned out the place is closed. I wasted a trip there and was embarrased with my guest! If the restaurant is closed, OpenTable should not confirm reservations!
This is a reflection of Open Table. We traveled into the city and Tick Tock Diner is CLOSED!
We had a very nice breakfast. We go here everytime we stay in NY.
From the moment we entered, we felt comfortable being at Tick Tock. The waiter took good care of us with suggestions for lunch, checking in on our dining and getting us checked out. We had a good lunch in as safe a restaurant environment as we could hope for. Thanks!
Friendly service and great people. The only reason I gave ambience a 4 was because it was quite quiet - that’s not their fault though with a pandemic in full force!
Food and service were outstanding, and location was perfect as we were going across the street for a Rangers game that evening. Can't beat it!
My only complaint was that our visit felt very very rushed
