Tick Tock Diner NY
The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. Tick Tock Diner has long been known for its American comfort food. Today, it remains true to tradition while offering more dining choices than ever before on its extensive menu, accented with Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex influences. Keeping in the diner tradition, breakfast is served all day, featuring more than a dozen omelets, farm fresh eggs any style, pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast.

Server was not observant or pleasant. We had to ask for more water never brought a side request. Food was good a bit pricey but server need to be happy
All good! Perfect location - good service - good food.
We always love the Tick Tock Diner. It's a typical NY diner where we always bring our out of town friends. Service is quick and food is excellent.
Food ok. Prices high. Waitresses arguing with hostess in front of us. One was mine. Obviously in a bad mood. Fruit bowl had old fruit. Breakfast with no coffee one juice 100$ four people. Not worth it
We came to Tick Tock Diner as the start of our day for my sister's bachelorette party. The staff was lovely and the food was great! Thank You!
Usually enjoy Tick Tock, but not this time. My husband ordered eggs over easy and got scrambled. Our guest and I ordered avocado toast and eggs - they arrived cold and my eggs were hard. The coffee kept coming but I had to ask for water many many times. Sorry it wasn’t a hit this time.
Great diner food...terrific service ...spacious seating for +4 groups...rare in NYC...quick and clean.
Tick Tock Diner was the perfect place to meet friends and family for brunch, and hang out for a long time. The food was good, and the waitresses were very nice, letting us wait for the rest of our family to arrive, and then not upset that we stayed to talk.
Food not as good as before. Bacon had the flavor and smell of old grease.
Lovely decorations. Clean.
All the food is amazing!!!!! I recommend the Nutella French Toast, my friend & I split it and loved it!
They got our group in and out quickly and efficiently. Staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great!
Vicky was a great waitress!
We arrived in New York and asked the reception guy where to eat that was good food and not too expensive. He recommended Tick Tock. We were able to choose where we sat as we didn’t want to sit in a draft. Massive portions, good service sat at a long table rather than a booth as that was what was ready. N complaints. Thank yu
I was part of a group of eight that ate at Tick Tock Saturday afternoon. The food was wonderful. The service was fabulous. The cost was reasonable and affordable. Everyone was satisfied, and we will return.
Tick Tock Diner accommodated our group of seven with. 12 noon reservation at a table in an alcove. My 86 year old mother, who uses a cane, used the elevator for handicapped access to the lower level restrooms. The waitress was pleasant and helpful in taking our order. She replenished hot coffee and water as needed. The menu had many choices, satisfying everyone.
Great food reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. 10 of us ate and no complaints from anybody. Highly recommend the fish & chips folllwed by NY cheesecake.
Extensive menu with lots of choices. Our meals came out hot, were very tasty, and somewhat big portions. Will definitely visit again.
Good variety of food at decent prices. Can’t beat that these days. Recommended before or after a show or athletic event! Very friendly and accommodating employees too.
Delicious, fresh food, and casual enough for kids. Mac and cheese balls and veggie baguette were amazing! They had something for everyone in our party, from ages 9 to 77. Excellent place!!
Absolutely perfect. I would definitely come back !!
Amazing place😘 we were lucky to have this diner attached to our hotel so used it for some breakfasts, evening meal and midnight snacks! Pancakes are awesome 👏 brown gravy is fantastic xxx
Quick and simple lunch. Great for kids. Waiter was outstanding.
Server was very attentive and polite. Food was good, price very affordable. Was going to an event at the Garden and it was quick and easy. Would recommend if you are looking for a quick burger.
Great place to grab a quick bite before a show at MSG with the whole family.
Perfect place for brunch near Penn Station. Our group included vegans and vegetarians who were also happy with the menu options and food, as well as traditional brunch (eggs benedict, pancakes, etc) that was enjoyed by others. A fun diner experience!
Overall, breakfast is above average. But I wished the food was a warmer than what was presented. Waiter was fantastic and recommended a couple dishes. I would come back in a couple of weeks again!
We were staying overnight at The New Yorker Hotel because we had tickets to MSG for a seven p.m. show. I had read good reviews about the Diner & since it was attached to the hotel I felt it would be a great choice for a quick dinner for three couples. We were seated immediately & our waitress was very pleasant. The menu had so many items to choose from & we settled on burger platters & wraps. Everyone's food was delicious & prices were reasonable especially for NYC! The next morning we went back for breakfast. The place was packed but we had no wait, food arrived quickly & again, everyone was happy with their meal. I would definitely recommend to anyone to check out the Tick Tock Diner.
Our server was really nice and friendly. The food was okay but there are definitely better options. Nothing impressive here.
Tuna avocado melt was good but I felt they could give you a pickle and coleslaw with the sandwich
Classic diner in a handy tourist location in midtown. We all had breakfast food of some sort. My omelet was delicious with good hashbrowns. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Service was friendly and efficient. Good option whether you're a tourist or not.
Our waiter went above and beyond to serve our party of 10. He also came out and sang for our daughter's birthday. A very good experience.
Good food, efficient service and affordable prices
Nice food. Nice place.
Family of 14 get-together
Very expensive for mediocre food.
Go to any of the irish bars just off the nain riads. 2 mins walk, drinks and food half the price, better portions, ambience, value and service
Perfect way to spend our Christmas Day,
Many thanks xx
Picked this place due to its proximity to where we needed to be for another event. Figured how can you go wrong with a diner in NYC? Though we were seated quickly, it took 3 times asking for a high chair for our baby before we got one. The table had not been cleaned off and it took 2 times asking before it was done. Our waiter (I don't recall his name unfortunately) was good at the beginning and end, but nowhere to be found in the middle when we needed drink refills. Though there was no kid's menu, he did tell us of a few offerings in the computer for the baby, which was nice. I wasn't overly impressed with the menu or the food. Just ordered burgers and a sandwich pretty much. My older son's burger came without the pickles he'd asked for. I went downstairs to use the ladies restroom and found every stall to be without toilet paper and it was all just a disgusting mess. Not at all impressed with this place, and I've been going to the city for upwards of 30 years and have never had to say that. There are plenty of other nearby options - go with those.
Food looked nothing like photos. Portions were small. Over priced. It just didn’t taste as good as I hoped. One good thing was we ahad a nice Waitress
Great place for a quick, reasonably priced meal! Good for the kids too!
