Wonderful evening. Server (Diane?) was attentive and knowledgeable. Bottle price for wine was slightly excessive, but food and presentation was impressive. Courses flowed well even with a heavy crowd.

Our experience destroyed our enjoyment of the Tic-Toc room. We have thought of this restaurant as a special place that we reserved for special occasions. That pleasure was destroyed by overcrowded conditions, poor service and an overall miserable situation. Obviously the management had decided to take advantage of Valentines day by overbooking, adding tables to a second floor room and not adding any servers. well you screwed up royally. We have often recommended this place a special place, never again.
A year ago, my husband and I last visited the Tic Toc Room and were underwhelmed. We hadn't been back since, but a friend told me how much she had enjoyed the restaurant recently, so we gave it another go. I'm so glad we did!
Our server was not polished, but he was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I'd go back for dinner just to see his smile again (!). He came over to our table immediately to see about our drink order, and that was when we all realized we did not have menu's. They were quickly brought, and we proceeded to order.
My husband always loves the Tic Toc's inventive martini menu, and he had one of those. He pronounced it delicious! We ordered the lobster/crab dip with fried plantains appetizer, and it was plenty for two to share. I believe four could share it, but we managed to scrape the very last bit out of the bowl.
I had the chicken with basil, mozarella and tomatoes, and it was excellent! The accompanying broccoli and potatoes were delicious, especially the rosemary potatoes with their crisp skins and fluffy interiors. My husband ordered the salmon with pasta, and he pronounced it excellent.
We had creme brulee to finish, and it was spectacular with its hard crust of caramelized sugar and rich vanilla custard underneath.
We look forward to returning soon, and if you haven't been to the Tic Toc in a while, I urge you to give it another go!
Food was fair at best. Service was greatly lacking. It took 35 minutes to get drinks after the order was placed. Meals for our 8 diners did not arrive at the same time. The 8 of us eat out frequently. It had been a long time since we had visited the Tic Toc Room. We wanted to love it and make the restaurant a part of our regular restaurant rotation. By a unanimous vote, that won’t be happening at this time.
This restaurant has an amazing history and great food. Unfortunately, the service level really suffers from understaffing and poor training. A server should never pour wine into a dirty champagne glass. There also is an expectation that service staff understands how to go over specials and speak with some understanding of how to properly pronounce the names and pricing. The server was very kind but lacked training. Also, the kitchen should never take 2 hours to serve guests their meals after making them wait 1 hour after their reservation time to seat them even.
Everything was just off a bit, strange experience with staff.

I wanted to be more positive about this post as it was NYE, but our experience was less than favorable. Their computers went down & that was the excuse for everything that went wrong. They were clearly understaffed & undertrained. The bartender doubled as our waitress and we had to flag her down for everything. It didn’t start out that way, things were on track, and got our apps in a timely fashion. Mussels were good, salmon croquettes were like old-school Ritz Crackers & canned salmon patties when on a budget. Perhaps our entrees would redeem the croquettes.
Not a soul from the staff made eye contact with anyone for fear they’d actually have to serve them. Our water glasses never got refilled. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail or glass of wine. Each time we approached someone they apologized but genuinely didn’t seem concerned for our wait or inconvenience.
After 1.5 hours we asked about our entrees. When my husband’s medium-well steak arrived, it was completely red & raw in the middle. Fortunately the portions were generous so I shared my shrimp & grits, which was good. We sent the steak back & didn’t reorder because who has time to wait for 2+ more hours?! 🤷🏻♀️
We had to ask for the check & they said they wouldn’t charge for the uneaten steak, but while auditing the receipt we had to ask them to take it off. Sigh.
As all this went on I looked around and everyone else in the restaurant had empty glasses & no food in front of them. It was simply sad. I wanted to really enjoy my evening out, and thankfully my husband is quite entertaining and that made the experience better. I hope the owner re-evaluates & trains his staff on customer service & the chefs learn better preparation. Also need contingency plans for when the computer goes down, once upon a time restaurants existed without technology & they worked efficiently back then. I want to see them succeed with some improvements.
Simply put, we were very disappointed with our New Years Eve experience. When we arrived there were only 3 other tables occupied and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It only got worse as the evening progressed
While our sever tried to reassure us on numerous occasions that our food would be right out the kitchen didn’t deliver. And when our meals finally arrived one the was cold, another overcooked and the third was incorrect.
I was concerned with the low reviews, and nobody in the place, but they did not disappoint! Food was excellent, drinks outstanding, service was friendly and accommodating, and gave us plenty of time to chat and catch up with friends. Great experience.
Tic Toc Was Very Very Good in terms of Food. The Pork Rissoto and Salmon and delicious and cooked to perfection. Do wish it came out a little bit faster but that is to be understood seeing that everything is made from scratch. I would go there again!
Food was great . Wait staff was great .
Way over priced for portion served. Few patrons on Friday night at 7 speaks volumes of what people think. Server was pleasant but there was only 3 active tables and the server is also bar tender. Appears to customer the restaurant is struggling due to low patronage and small staff.
$166 bill but received $66 meal.
