Food is served in a cheap paper plate. The signature dish (garlic noodle with old hard shrimps) was OLD and over cooked, it's $22, seriously ?!
The environment was really nice. It was quiet. There were heating lamps. The food was okay. The fries were cold and the noodles over cooked. Not my favorite. A bit overpriced for what it was. The drinks were really good.
Food is good for take out only. There is no service and waiters don't know what they're doing.
I have been hearing that Tiato had a lovely patio. This is true and the food is delicious. Their set up is quite different than most restaurants, in that you choose a table and then go to a central market place counter and place your order and give your credit card. Then you go back to the table and the rest of the evening is table service. My only complaint is that you have a variety of people helping you, so it isn’t as if you have one dedicated server checking in regularly. The host was very welcoming and made great efforts to bring water and make sure we had menus and heat lamps and whatever we needed. It’s a really great but if you’re nervous about dining out. The wait staff keeps things immaculately clean and every person had gloves, masks, and face shields. The garlic noodles, and Mama Ahn’s noodles were delicious. The Ahi tuna tostadas were yummy. We will definitely return.
Loved the outdoor seating, food was good. Service was great
The location and decor is beautiful, but that's about all you get. The service was almost non-existent, even when there were several people waiting in line at the cafe - where we were told to order from separately from the table order - and there was a waitress or hostess standing 10 ft away from us, ignoring us completely. The patrons in front of me who had been waiting for over 12 minutes asked her more than once for help and she just said "i don't know" a few times before going to look for a manager, who she could not find. Our actual waitress was just as absent and aloof, turning our short lunch into a very long one that we were happy to leave. I wish I could say the food made up for it, but it's just bland typically overpriced LA fare that adds charcoal and quinoa in dishes purely for trend, and not for taste. Overall I would not recommend this spot to anyone, nor would I return. Not worth it for the disregard of service, blah drinks, and unremarkable food. There are many other options in the same area for a much lower price with actual service.
We ate dinner here on the patio last Saturday and had a nice, peaceful dinner experience. Food and drinks were yummy and the service on point. Would definitely return!
Staff were super nice but the food was truly disappointing
We sat in the garden and ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp...amazing!! Service was outstanding. Tiato never disappoints, never.
Very nice patio dining. Menu was a bit difficult to read and follow. It should have been posted for walk up ordering. Order taker was on his first day and did not know the menu. Music on the patio was a bit loud and in my opinion unnecessary. It interfered with a quiet lunch and conversation. Nevertheless I will probably return soon.
Garlic noodles were mushy, overcooked. The restaurant did not have iced tea.
Cute place and ambience but had terrible service, ignored us for 2 hours and I had to ask multiple times for our food and they got it wrong. And then they added extra tip for themselves onto my credit card! Completely illegal! I called them and the manager didn’t offer refund or apology, just said he would look into it but did not listen to me as a customer or offer anything back even the refund of the extra amount when I was clearly overcharged illegally. Will never recommend or go back.
We had a really great experience dining at Tiato! It was our first time here, and we came to try the DineLA menu. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we loved the ambiance of the outdoor dining area right away. We had plenty of distance from other tables and diners, hand sanitizer on the table, and plenty of heating lamps, too! And, of course, the food was absolutely delicious. Would love to dine here again!
Marginal in every way, other than the location, which is delightful
I wanted a beautiful place to do a little writing in the afternoon... and I found where I should have brought a date instead. Good to know.
One of the best patio dining environments in Los Angeles / Santa Monica. The food was delicious and and staff very friendly and accommodating. Currently food orders are taking at the register inside but that's no big deal. The food has an Asian / Vietnamese flair but isn't that far off of mainstream Modern American cuisine. Every dish was delicious and we had Eggplant Tofu, Ahi Tuna Tostadas, Honey Glazed Salmon, Roasted Brussell Sprouts and Chicken Dumplings.
Truly a great dining experience!
Flexible, tasty menu for those that are gluten free/vegetarian/vegan.
Pros: Beautiful outdoor space. Creative, alternative dishes.
Cons: Dishes not available at the first seating. Staff not very attentive, had to be asked multiple times for missing items.
Overall: Hit and miss. Certain dishes knocked it out of the park, while others had issues. Service was very slow and inconsistent.
Bloody Mary and Maria were very "farm fresh". A little pre-made mix would've helped. "Famous" garlic noodles were overcooked and unimaginative. Definitely not worth the value. The vegan french toast was delicious! Dim sum was not available when we first sat down though an hour into our brunch they let it slip that the kitchen could make it. Cloud eggs looked wonderful. Corned beef hash was pretty fatty.
Food was Fab as usual. Our kids LOVE the french toast and who can resist the garlic noodles and XO fried rice with crab. Gabriel was the bomb and we never had to wait for service. They do have a very cool texting service that offers you paper-less menu viewing and contact-less ordering. Tiato is on point and we will be back soon.
Well done. From the service to the ambiance. Each plate is creative and delicious. Big fan across the board
I always love this place! Very good social distancing and sanitation.
Patio was quiet and relaxing.
Great attention to Safety in this time of Covid.
Awesome experience for a very reasonable price!
Great patio. Very safe.
Wow this place is so special! Every dish was on point! Came here for brunch, for drinks, I ordered a green monster smoothie, my boyfriend ordered a fresh mixed juice; for apptz, we shared the heart of palm ceviche; for main, I had the shaken breakfast beef bowl with an egg on top, my boyfriend had the pho; we shared a chia seed pudding and latte to finish the meal. BEST chia seed pudding we both had!!! The presentation of every dish was so nicely done and tasted beyond expectation. Can’t wait to try dinner here!
Excellent! Can’t wait to return and try so much more on the menu. So glad we found this neighborhood gem.
Phenomenal! The food was excellent, the patio was beautiful, and the service was great. Highly recommend!
The cutest little restaurant you wouldn’t know is here! So cute and so yummy!
