Quaint little restaurant. However, drinks and food were disappointing. Margaritas only made from sour mix. When most places these days are offering fresh lime margaritas. Greene Chili pork did not have a pleasing flavor. Mediocre experience overall.

Not too impressed with the food. Everything was too spicy when we asked for mild. The server didn't seem too care to much about our concerns.

For the price, the amount of food was minimal. Only hot dipping sauce for the tortilla chips.
Service at first was very slow.

Great service made me, my wife, and son feel like we'd be coming here for years. Delicious food, and their version of the Moscow Mule is amazing! The ambiance is quirky and memorable. Love this place!

What a warm and wonderful Mexican food restaurant. The fajitas were amazing and so were the cadillac margaritas. The owners stopped by our table and we chatted for over 15 minutes. Wonderful family owned and quaint restaurant. Will be back again very soon!

I have now been to Tia Shorty's three times in the last couple of weeks. We first tried it based on good reviews and liked it so much we went twice more with other friends we wanted to introduce it to.

We decided to check out this nice restaurant after reading other positive reviews. We went with a friend visiting from out of town and we all concurred that it was really, really good. My husband and I definitely intend on coming back.

What a wonderful restaurant! Excellent food! So fresh! I highly recommend it. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back again. Food is all homemade - awesome enchiladas and street tacos! Great guacamole as well. Great ambiance as well.

You can't go wrong eating here!

Like the food. Husband and wife team. You can tell they are putting their life into the restaurant, and that they are hoping business picks up.

Drinks were not as ordered. Food taste was fair but portion size for the price was poor. Tacos were very small -- size of a silver dollar. Took a business friend there and was embarrassed that the food and service was not better. No value for the money and would rate it a "C".

Everything was great! I had the taco salad with chicken and my guest had fish tacos. Both were great. Will go back and try the dinner menu soon.

Wish I coulda give Tia Shorty's a 5 star rating. The food and ambiance were great! So, was the family atmosphere. The owner's made a special attempt to introduce themselves and the story of their new venture!! The only thing, really lagging behind was the service! To give them the benefit of a doubt - they are still very new and haven't perfected everything yet. That said - all of our food took a long time to come out and when we finally were served our 3 meals came out, one at a time with 3-5 minutes in between. We will definitely give it another try, as the food and decor were top notch!

Newly opened and this night short staffed. Place is decorated with lots of charm with a nice indoor/outdoor bar. But service, while friendly, was very disorganized, although all the meals came out at the same time. Not sure if we will return.

We started with guacamole and a margarita. The chips, salsa, guacamole and marg were great! We ordered a selection of street tacos off the happy hour menu. We also wanted their cucumber salad but at 5:30 on a Friday evening we were told they didn't have it or the soup available that evening. The chicken tacos was amazing and the other tacos were good but not as wonderful as the chicken. Our second margarita was disappointing. The server assured us it was made exactly the same as the first but left us with the disappointing marg and disappeared. They seemed to be short staff that evening so once the crowd showed up, service was slow. We will try them again and hope that the few glitches are resolved on our next visit.

We learned about this new restaurant in Scottsdale from ABC15 Sonoran Living. Since they raved about it, we visited the restaurant last week. We were bowled over by the quality of food and service. The guacamole had complex flavors that we had never tasted before. Their shrimp dish was made to order and featured perfectly cooked shrimp in a magical sauce that featured complex flavors. Many Mexican restaurants in the Valley overcook the shrimp. I predict that once the word has spread, this will be on of the most successful Mexican restaurants in the Valley.

A group of 4 of us tried Tia Shorty's on a Wednesday evening. It was quiet in the dining room, but the bar area was a little busier. The food was excellent! Their salsa has to be the best I've tasted. I had the chicken tamales and my wife had the chicken taco salad. Both were delicious! The service was great, as well. We will definitely be back.

New restaurant in the neighborhood. The food was very good. Tina, the chef, is precious. They tried very hard to make our experience wonderful. I think they need to get established and then add a few more options to the menu and much better spirits in the bar- especially Tequila. Their salsas are fantastic. I had the tamales- there was so much I had leftovers from my leftovers! The other dishes at the table were thoroughly enjoyed.

Great neighborhood Mexican place. Friendly staff and owners and awesome ambiance. Limited menu but I had the chicken tacos (3 very small) and they were delicious and my husband had the tamales, which were to die for! Not a gut buster Mexican joint, but definitely full when we left. Go try it, you won't be disappointed!
