What Insiders Are Saying
Tia Pol is an ultimate Infatuation First/Early In The Game Date spot. Take the edge off, have a couple of glasses of wine, and maybe some sangria while you're at it too. Conversation will be flowing freely, you'll be sharing quality small plates, and before you know it, you'll wind up back in her apartment listening to Lady GaGa while you play grab-ass on the couch.
Outstanding! Better than I remember from years ago. Best tapas in NYC!
Not impressed. We ordered the pastas bravas, chorizo, squid ink with rice, chickpeas, chicken liver mouse and croquets. The only thing that really stood out with the chicken liver mouse and the squid ink. The squid was very tender but the rice was not great. The potatoes and chorizo and chickpeas were all a bit too greasy and mediocre. Not sure why this place got such great reviews. I ordered a margarita and it was the worst ever, I almost wanted to send it back which is unacceptable for a Spanish tapas place
Excellent food, interesting variety of dishes, down-to-earth but polished service
Food was better than ever! Service was warm and friendly too! This place is a Gem.
I come to Tia Pol once or twice a year when in NYC. It’s always been excellent. This time we were not served by the same person as usual. Our server read from a cue card. Really? Can’t remember 4-5 daily specials? Looks disinterested and tepid service. We always had excellent service before ( from a young man with a beard and ponytail).
Excellent as always. One of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. Great food. Cozy atmosphere and friendly, warm service.
Every tapa was really good! Highly recommended if you are in Chelsea!
The Jamon, Artichoke salad, Gambas and flan were outstanding! The Tortilla was uninspired. The service was inconsistent, our server was pleasant but distracted. Other servers were very friendly and helpful pitched in to get us what ever we needed.
The room is narrow and sparsely elegant.
This is the second time that I have been to Tia Pol and was not disappointed. The waiter recommended a wine that stayed in budget but was very good. All the food came out in an organized way so you were not overwhelmed at any given time. I would suggest the octopus salad as a must while I don't think that there is a bad item on the menu. Make sure to get a reservation or you might not get in!
This is my second go at this restaurant and it was every bit as good this time than it was the first. Sangria is well-balanced and tart. They have great specials on Rioja too. The tapas is authentic and delicious. Among the best I've had outside Madrid. Portions run a little small for the price though everything is reasonable. Seating is tight, even for Manhattan and the wood benches and stools are tough on the behind even after a short visit. Other than that it's perfect in every way. Love it!
Always great food. Tiny lively space, with wonderful small plate dining.
Get the chicken liver mousse! I was skeptical, but it was the best item we had among many delicious offerings.
Great space for sharing various menu items. Their specials will run out fast which speaks of the quality and taste. A must try venue.
We have dined at Tia Pol many times. The food is superb and the service is attentive. Excellent value too!
Great food, drinks, people, and atmosphere.
Consistently delicious small plates and fun small restaurant atmosphere!
Excellent food and service.
The tapas were enough to ssplit between two people, but over all flavor was too salty for both of us . Other spices should be used. We won't go back for this reason alone.
Always have a wonderful experience eating at Tia Pol! The waitstaff are very happy and friendly and the food is excellent.
The food at Tia Pol is delicious, an interesting and original variety of small plates, including the desserts. We were the first to arrive on a Sunday, and the staff was particularly accommodating as we switched tables, and made many special requests.
Great food and service in a pleasant atmosphere. Good value for money. Squid in ink and churros were outstanding.
Always enjoy dining here. Staff is great, food fantastic. Seems to have gotten a lil bit pricier, but what hasn't!?
Made this reservation for my boss, she brought a team of 7 people and it was fun because you can order so many small plates and get multiple different flavors with that many. I will recommend it to my other office mates
Tapas is great. Authentic and delicious. Portions are moderate. Sangria was balanced and fruity...really good. Pitcher size was a little stingy. The place is long and thin with many two-top tables built into the wall. There seemed to be only one table able to accommodate a party of four or more. I saw a party of three scrunched around a two-top table which, honestly, is barely big enough for two people. Tables are high tops with high, incredibly uncomfortable wooden seats. It seems a subtle way to say, "come eat but don't linger." The seating was so uncomfortable that I parked the stool under the table and stood for the later half of the evening. With some tweaking this could be a gem!
Tia Pol is our go to restaurant in our neighborhood in Chelsea. The food is always consistent and the wait staff are super friendly!
This place never disappoints. Consistently dependable Tapas. Great food great wines and great staff.
I've been to Spain several times and I love Tapas, and Tia Pol is the real deal. The is authentic, delicious and reasonably priced. And the wine list is also quite good. I would recommend wholeheartedly.
This was a return visit (after 3 years) to Tia Pol, and the food, service, etc., are as outstanding as ever. This is by far the most authentic tapas restaurant we've eaten in outside of Spain.
Best tapas I’ve had outside of Spain!
Fun time and great food/service! Perfect for a party or night out with the girls.
Great place, Great food, Great wines, Great waitress.
Very fast and friendly service.
Ham , cheese , chorizo all delicious
Octopus salad disappointing and tough
Long barrow place with stool/bench seating.
NOT a place to linger
Everything was delicious particularly the special of braised lamb shank. Service was great add overall experience was excellent. This is a small local restaurant so no fussiness. Just great food.
tia pol never changes food always remains Great. there were 5 of us and we ordered about 10 dishes to share everything was amazing Sangria was ok was warm out and ice melt so fast the sangria was watery but not much you can do about mother nature
Tia Pol is one of my favorites near to Hudson Yards and right off the High Line in Chelsea. The place is small so be sure to make a reservation for dinner as it can fill up fast.
Very nice place, easy with good food I have been many times and have yet to have a bad time. Brunch also a good idea on the weekends
Good place with very nice tapas. The fried peppers were amazing. Overall the food was very nice. The only issue was that we were 4 people sitting in a small table close to the entrance. It felt a bit crowded and not very intimate.
Tia Pol is my favorite NYC tapas restaurant--authentic and tasty.
Fabulous food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. The one downside is that it can be (and was on this occasion—a Weds. night) INCREDIBLY noisy, so much so that conversation, even for 2 people seated across a small table, was sometimes difficult. Still, the overall experience is great and we will definitely be returning.
