Thyme Kitchen & Craft Beer
Although I would still recommend Thyme, our last visit was disappointing. We have been here before and the food is good, but this time my husband and his friend's chicken was in their words, "terrible." My gluten free bun was stale. The French fries were excellent though. We will go back, hoping this was just a one time event.
Felt it was a good value and food was delicious.
Food was awesome, we would for sure visit again because of it, but customer service was sub par. Our bartender was not friendly at all, didn’t even ask how we were and did not check to see if we needed anything , we had to ask.
Food was great. Service was a little slow. When we went in it was not that busy. We were sat quickly and were given a bottle of water right away. But then we never had anyone come by to see if we wanted something else to drink or to take our order for over 10 minutes. And our server had originally gotten my order wrong.
We have visited previously and always found Thyme a good value. On this occasion all 4 of us ordered a brisket dish and 2 of us were disappointed that our brisket was too tough to eat. I could not chew mine completely and another in the group simply gave up and left his on the plate.
Great food and great atmosphere. Will be going back and the reservation was a breeze and we were seated right away. Food was very fast.
Our server was terrible.
He kept us waiting forever never asked if we wanted another glass
Never checked if we needed anything
Wouldn’t go back
It is a neat atmosphere with good service and quality food
The poke bowl had a weird taste to it (I've had it a few times before and it's been good in the past but always a different flavor- this time it was terrible). It's very unpredictable of whether or not it'll be great or awful.
Nice selection of spirits and beers. Food was on point.
Food was fine, but the wait staff was not very present and didn’t give my date the proper change on the bill.
We’ve been here a few times now. The food is always good but we’ve noticed some slight inconsistencies. The flavor are well composed and accessible. The whiskey and beer selection is outstanding. We’ll definitely return.
Overall good experience, although not very kid friendly. (No cups with lids, no diaper changer in either restroom) The BBQ parfait was very enjoyable!
The deconstructed duck tamales are amazing, and don't miss out on the wings and brisket poutine!
Super cool vibe to this restaurant. Tons of bourbon and whiskey, if you're into that. I am not, but my spouse and the couple we were with are so they thought that was amazing. Unique food items, which isn't super great for a picky pallet like mine, but even I found something that was out-of-this-world delicious (burnt ends poutine). The flavor in all of their dishes is there...it's just a matter of taste. 5 of us went to dinner and everyone loved everything that they individually ordered. Would go back again for sure!
We were visiting our son who started a new job with Caterpillar and none of us are from the area. I read your reviews and decided to try it. The decor inside is really cool. So many bourbons to pick from plus other drinks. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside. There is some street noise but not too busy. I ordered a turkey sandwich but it’s not like any turkey sandwich (pic below) It was piled high w turkey had avocado, Brie, and other meat stuff on it. Very yummy and large so had done leftover for lunch the next day. Others in my party had the pulled pork sandwich and the salmon burger. Both were very happy w their choices. The salmon burger was a little difficult to eat because it was falling apart. You have a choice of fries or tater tots. I am a fan of tater tots and they did not disappoint. The ketchup was all natural and you got two choices, regular and spicy. I honestly did not taste a huge difference between the two. We would definitely go back here and try some other neat options. I highly recommend. Wait staff was spot on also, filling our water before we were empty, etc.
The place is great for casual dining or business. Their brunch is amazing. A large variety of drinks are available. The dinner food is good, but the vegetarian options are really lacking.
Slightly pricey. Way too noisy (would have preferred outside). The vinegar was omitted on the brussel sprouts (disappointing). The waitress was very nice and efficient. Overall I think everyone (party of nine) enjoyed the evening.
Great food, service and drinks! All the fly comments has us worried but we had no issues at all with them.
Wonderful food and service. One of our favorite places to dine out.
Loved the atmosphere and food!!!! Most definitely will be going back. Their Bison burger was fantastic ❤️
Good food. Fast service. Easy lot to park next to restaurant
What a fun evening out with friends! From whiskey flights to brand new (to me!) menu items, a delightful taste treat. Very good service - the complete order was correct (amazing with the noise level), great follow up without hovering. We'll be back!
Would have gotten 5 stars if there wasnt flys and hard to find server
Thyme Kitchen served the absolute best biscuits and sausage gravy I have ever experienced. The charcuterie platter was also excellent and the service was spot on perfect . Portions on both dishes were very generous.
Had Sunday Brunch. It wasn’t busy but it took 50 minutes to get our food. Usually isn’t that slow, had the door open to the outdoor dining area and the inside had a fly issue, we will give it another try.
Great bunch menu, will definitely go back , the food and waitress was exceptional. Another great meal at Thyme
Flies...flies and more flies crawling on table , on skin, on clothes and on food. It was one of the grossest times I’ve had at a restaurant that is supposed to be upscale. I felt like I was eating out of a dumpster. Just the thought of those flies makes me cringe. Was there a dead body in the restaurant. I hated and brought people I wanted to impress. Made reservations two weeks out so I could be on time. I couldn’t even eat my food. A very sick and disgusting place to eat. I will be sharing my experience with friends for years to get a laugh and to gross them out. I cannot express in words how dirty we all felt after leaving. If the dining room was like that what was the kitchen like? If I want that experience again I’ll go right to the landfill to eat! No way would I come back there are better craft beer locations to eat and enjoy myself at! Awful!
Excellent food/craft beer options! Second time we’ve used them for pre-show dinner prior to concert in nearby Peoria CC.
Everything was pretty tasty but due to having the large dogs open we had to battle flies throughout our whole meal. The beach tini was delicious!
So happy to have an option like this in Peoria now. Excellent menu, generous portions and well-made cocktails. Food service was excellent. Hostess could be a bit more warm, though. All around great experience and we will return on our next trip to Peoria.
Great place and great selection. Wide range of craft beer and whiskey
Bison burger outstanding! Best of all they take reservations.
We enjoyed the food and received great service from Kendra!
The food is wonderful! Bacon Jam is addictive! Love this place for Sunday brunch!
It was a nice night out so we sat outside, which was great. Pork Osso Bucco was great, but my wife wasn't overly impressed with the brisket. Fried Brussel sprouts were great as an appetizer.
Outstanding selection of beer, bourbon, whiskey, rye, and wine! Delicious food! Great and speedy service for a Saturday night!
Excellent meal at Thyme. Service is always good and the ambiance is very unique. One of Peoria’s best.
Great spot on Peoria’s riverfront!
They have a great beer and liquor selection, and the food was delectable.
Always a pleasure eating at Thyme. One of the best restaurants in E. Peoria/Peoria. Works for both casual and business meetings and is always good food.
