   This was our first visit since change of ownership earlier this year and I am pleased to report the food and service was excellent and we will definitely be back. Please visit Thyme as you will not be disappointed.

   Excellent food very fresh because of small menu. Fishcakes excellent, duck superb, goats cheese choice brill and as for the plum frangipane, words fail me!!!! Waitresses very attentive and good sense of humour. Would recommend.

   We were warmly greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in. Most tables were taken - all with delicious looking food on them - but as we had pre booked we were shown to our waiting table straightaway. We had booked afternoon tea with prosecco - which all came beautifully presented. Dainty sandwiches on soft brown & white bread, delicious home made cakes and scones topped with cream and strawberries. As our visit was a birthday treat for my Mum, there were 3 generations of us and we all agreed that we would definately return to try more of the afternoon and the evening menu!

   We went on a Monday for the 2 for 1 offer. The menu had been cut so most meat dishes were excluded. Also the lamb shank was off that day. The fish cakes were mushy and the wild boar burger was small (it stated it would be 8oz). My fellow guest complaned and they were good about it. However we wont go back. The Monday offer is not what it says it is on the website. The food is not that good.

   Made to feel very welcome, staff were extremely friendly and polite, maybe a bit more training bu that's not their fault. Food was on the whole very good although the cheeseboard looked like it was made up of crumbs rather than pieces of cheese. Very fairly priced, came out happy, always the sign of a good evening

   In general the food was good, although steak which was ordered was very fatty!Home made dessert, but I was given wrong dessert! Coffee ordered was terrible it was more milk than latte!! Very small venue which was cosy but in need of redecorating. Waitresses friendly but one a little disorganised.

   My wife and I weren't from the area but after doing some quick research of places to eat we found this little gem! After reading some good reviews we thought we'd give it a try and we weren't disappointed! The staff were lovely, the service quick and the food was top notch. Thanks for a pleasant evening!

   Me and my partner booked this online as a bit of a last minute option and we weren't disappointed. It was only when we looked at the menu online that we saw the restaurant does 2-4-1 on a Monday which was a pleasant surprise. The menu wasn't massive in terms of choice but there was still a wide variety and the food was delicious. My only criticism was that the mojito I ordered wasn't served in a mojito glass and wasn't quite right by recipe standards. Everything else was lovely. Our sat nav tried to take us to the restaurant over the road but fortunately my husand spotted it on the right hand side of the street. Good value for money and tasty food.

   Went on the recommendation of a friend as it was in the south Yorkshire purple voucher book. We weren't dissapointed and will be back.

    Lovely setting,friendly staff,outstanding food,would definitely recommend to friends, Would definitely recommend the salmon and crab fish cakes for starters and fillet steak for main,it was nice to see a dessert menu that gave options from childhood favourites.
