We love this place and the owner / chef Sean. He visited our table when we arrived. This visit wasn’t up to their normal quality and I’ll send the details. The renovations look amazing! The lobster mac and cheese off the fresh menu was great and the elk steak!

I was disappointed in my dining experience. The noise level was unbearable, the food over priced and below average. Our server was good but he couldn’t overcome our disappointment. I had heard great things about this restaurant, so maybe it was just an off night. The fish lacked seasoning and flavor but was presented well as were the smoked scallops. But there were only two!

Our second visit to the “House that Chef Sean built”. We returned with friends who live in NY. We promised them a dining experience that would rival anything in the NY metro area. Their reluctant pessimism was quickly dashed as we entered the restaurant. The charming decor drew them in. The welcoming service team made them feel at home… and then the meal arrived. A stunning Korean short rib, creamy fresh pappardelle pasta, flavorful deconstructed Caesar salad and the topper Scallops served under dome wafting aromatic smoke that we all enjoyed as we inhaled it. Amazing is all I can say. Chef Sean and his team are the real deal. Go soon, go often, and bring friends you want to impress.

At first glance, walking in there was no waiting area so we had nowhere to stand and wait unless it was outside or in the dining area. One person actually barged through me and my date to get to the bar. We were seated in bar dining, which was nice because there was no one in there, so it wasn’t crowded. The waiter was phenomenal. The food for the price was not great. Ordered the tempura mushrooms as a first dish and about halfway into it realized that there were battered shrimp tails mixed in. After picking all the pieces out of my mouth and putting them on my plate (disgusting) my date found another one untouched. How those got in there is beyond me, as everything is plated by hand. The waiter went to show the chef, seemingly and noticeably going cold to our table after. Chef didn’t come out to the table to apologize, just the waiter apologizing over and over. After waiting a very long time for my filet, the waiter had me cut into the center with a butter knife to see how it was cooked. I asked for medium rare; I got well done. I didn’t say anything because I was already famished at this point and didn’t feel like waiting an additional who knows how long. I could tell by the waiters face he knew it was not cooked properly. He didn’t say anything and none of the food was comped or even offered to comp off of the check. Nice experience, great waiter, good atmosphere, sub par food and a lot of mistakes for the price. Will find another option of fine dining, should we decide to spend that kind of money on an experience.

This is a wonderful out of the way hidden gem! I have been there two times now. Both times were exceptional in every way. Though it is a little pricey it is worth it. The food is delicious and generous. You would never know from the outside that there is something very special inside. Hope you enjoy your experience as much as we have. We will definitely be back again and again.

We love this place. So happy such an exquisite little place near us. They have expanded since opening and it's like a little oasis of classy elegance when you are in there. Do t let the location deter you. The menu is great and Chef has different offerings each week, in addition to the regular items. Service is impeccable. Presentation is beautiful and Chef comes out to speak with diners several times. The prices reflect the quality however we think well worth the quality and experience.

This was our first time dining here and definitely won't be our last. Shawn M took great care of us and walked us thru the menu items and had some great recommendations. The chef was extremely friendly and accommodating can't wait to try more of his specials
