Three Kings Public House - South County
Excellent food, interesting atmosphere. Would like to see more local beers available on tap.
Hostess could not find our reservation but said it was ok since they had open tables. I had received four verifications and knew my reservation was in the system. To the annoyance of the hostess, I wouldn’t let it die. I insisted on understanding the reservation, at least for future use. Finally she showed me my reservation in the system. Another couple behind me said the same thing happened to them on their last visit. Food was great.
The service and food were really excellent! I highly recommend you check it out!
This was our first time visiting this establishment and we really enjoyed the ambiance and good food.
We sat for 10 min before the waiter came to our table.
The waiter may have been newer since he wasn’t as knowledgeable answering some of the questions we asked about the food. But he was attentive.
I had a very tasty, juicy burger and side Caesar salad and my friend had the portabella mushroom wrap, which she said she was not a fan of. Hardly any mushrooms in the wrap and just wasn’t that impressed. I said who goes to a gastro pub and orders only vegetables! She is not a vegetarian although it is nice they have the options. We ordered drinks, appetizers and dessert, which the chocolate cake was amazing! When the Waiter told us they used the microwave to heat up the bread pudding I was skeptical and was thinking it may have had a rubbery texture😣but The bread pudding was very good, 👍🏻although it could have used a bit more sauce since it was such a large portion. I would recommend not telling patrons about using the microwave and maybe use the broiler or convection oven to warm the desserts.
Great manager! I liked that he was very involved in what was happening on the floor and was out there pitching in, cleaning tables. He would stop by the tables to make sure all was good.
We were able to relax and enjoy a 2.5 hour dinner and catch up. The noise level was low to moderate being able to have a conversation.
I would highly recommend this place for a casual dinner or lunch.
Love the atmosphere, food and service is good, and it is a fun place to go for all ages.
We had reservations for 6 that I made the day before online for my birthday for 4:45 pm. Ordered about 5pm and by 6:15 pm when we were finishing up dinner. During that time several members of the staff started angrily staring us down to see if we were going to get up and leave yet. A couple of them looked at us from around the corner and threw their hands up like they were going to get confrontational. It was getting blatantly obvious by the whole party. A member of our party ordered something to take home and that arrived around 6:45 pm. Slowly we started winding up the conversation and still getting nasty looks while getting our stuff together to go. As we rounded the corner the young dark haired guy stared us down as we had to pass right in front of him and everyone at the front desk. There were people waiting which made me think they overbooked the tables and were rushing people out. As we started to go out the door the blonde hostess yells over to the waiting party "It won't be long now! Two parties of six just got up!" A friend in front me said "I guess they're talking about us" to which I said yep! They're talking about us. Nobody ever mentioned anything about a set time limit on dining in nor did I see anything when I made the reservation. I think I'll stick to TGIF just a few doors down. Even if they're busy they aren't pushing you out the door or giving people ignorant looks after they got your money.
We had dinner for the first time with friends and everything was fantastic. The hostess was friendly and the waitress was attentive and never let our drinks run low.
We will for sure be back!
The spinach salad at lunch was very good. Good service too!
Lunch was very good. The Turkey club sandwich was delicious as were the brussel sprouts.
We were there for lunch and the spinach salad was excellent. Our server was also very good.
The appetizers were very good, especially the potato skins and pork sliders. We only ordered appetizers but enjoyed them. Wines were also very good.
The waitress gave us another couples bill and said it was an easy fix after we paid it. She ended up charging our account 4 times. What should have ended as a fun night became troublesome and we had to contact our bank and work with the restaurant to get the excessive charges corrected. Nightmare!!
I enjoyed the food and so did the friends with me. All agreed that we would be back. Our waitress couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. I will recommend Three Kings to others and will be back myself. One person with me made the comment that his French Dip had a lot of meat and was very tasty.
Have been to all three locations. The food and service are always great. The only exception is the Bread Pudding. The flavor is there but it is very dry. We tried putting a shot of Baileys on it which helped, but it was still really not worth eating. On the up side our waiter was super nice.
A fave! Great before or after a movie at Ronnie’s.
