   What a shame! We had a mishap here with a Sunday lunch late last year and it was resolved beautifully. This is our absolute favourite pub in the area, with its food incomparable to its competitors. Until today, food was awful!! Apparently, the head chef left 3 weeks ago and the new chef doesn’t turn up. Amazing Sophie, who was front of house, has also gone. Vanessa, the manager who sorted out the Sunday lunch fiasco, also gone. I really hope they sort it out because it wasn’t just bad but inedible today - risotto where the rice hadn’t even been cooked. Really hoping they can sort it out and we can return for many happy meals in the future.

   A very disappointing early evening meal today for both of us. We ordered Catch of the Day with a Citrus Asian Infusion (£26) and a Vegetarian Curry with Jasmine Rice and Naan Bread (£20). The rice was cold, naan bread was thin, burnt and like hard cardboard so I didn’t touch it. The Catch of the Day ended up being “cooked prawns” in a very wet rice noodle mixture with mushrooms, tender-stem broccoli and carrots. There was absolutely no flavour or taste of citrus or Asian infusion. The rice noodle mixture was so wet it was awful. We conveyed our feedback to the waitress who was very polite. On leaving my husband was asked by a senior member of staff how our meal was. My husband asked if he wanted an honest answer, he said yes. The senior staff member deducted our soft drinks from the bill. My husband was then advised the chef had not turned up. We just wish the staff told us that before we ordered as our previous experience of food in this restaurant had been very good hence returning this time.

   This pub is by far the best for food in the area! Hats off the the chef of this place. The waitress was helpful and charming and our food arrived in good time and was hot and delicious. The Three Horseshoes is a beautiful old pub and I would recommend it highly. Our only criticism was the music in the garden. It's really not needed as one just wants to enjoy the beautiful view there.

   It was the first time we had been to The Three Horseshoes. We sat outside in the pleasant garden and had an excellent meal. Highly recommended.

   Food was great bar the chocolate mousse dessert which was a ganache rather than a mousse and sadly didn’t taste of anything, so I left it.
