Three Hammers Winery
Polished aromas of black currant & blackberry meet with toasted oak, earth, and dark roasted coffee on the nose of this bottling. There is compelling minerality to the palate, giving depth to the smashed raspberry, black cherry, and cinnamon flavors. Medium-bodied, very juicy with moderate tannins. A perfect campfire sipper
A spice-filled nose greets with white pepper, lavender and allspice. Rich earthiness combines with chocolate and blackberry to invite another taste. The meaty palate is rich, round, and generous with brambly layers creating depth. A pleasantly chalky texture, due to the tannins created by volcanic and sandy loam soils found in Washington State is lifted by mouthwatering acidity. With age, this wine will retain its vibrancy while developing deeper layers and expanding into a more velvety palate - rewarding patience with the depths of its beauty
A toasty Chardonel to woo any California Chardonnay drinker! The result is a dry, crystal clear white wine that starts with a nose that is fresh and crisp. The un-oaked natural acidity carries the upfront fruit to a mid-palate hint of apricot-infused tangerine while leaving a clean, smooth finish in its wake. Creamy aromas with flavors of lemon curd and gala apples. Velvety, dry-yet-fruity light-medium body with noted roasted pine nuts, and a white pepper finish with silky fruit tannins
Intense flavors of lime, honeydew melon, and candied tangerine peels penetrate through this zippy and light-footed Riesling. The mouth-watering acidity is beautifully balanced by flavorful Washington Riesling fruit. To achieve our 3H styles we strive for bright fruit with crisp acidity and enhanced minerality. It's gorgeously ripe and honeyed but balanced by streaks of lime acidity and crisp apple. A gentle powdered-stone texture lingers on the close leading to another sip after sip
Grüner Veltliner is an exotic alternative to Sauvignon Blanc. Dry and backed by crisp acidity, this wine shows flavors and aromas of lemon, orchard blossoms, and melon. The palate is medium in weight, with great minerality and refreshing acidity. This wine is vibrant, bright, refreshing, and extremely food-friendly
Within an intense cradling of oak, this full-bodied wine offers big flavors of guava, crème brulee and toasted vanilla. This meticulously crafted, limited-production of 74 cases embodies the elegance, boldness, and complexity of Three Hammers wine-making philosophy. Aromas of cream, piecrust, caramel and cooked apple follow through to a full body, lovely density of fruit and a long and rich finish. For added complexity and mouth feel, the wine went through malolactic fermentation while aging "sur lie" for 6 months
For us, Rosé is all about being fresh, fun, and feisty. With aromatherapy-happy floral aromas and bright acidity, our second vintage of Rosé hits all the marks. Made with Grüner Veltliner and Grenache grapes from our Washington State growers, is tantalizing fragrant with aromas of fresh strawberries, melon, peach, orange rind and a sweet mix-berry jelly. This easy-drinking wine is that go-to bottle you'll be grabbing for afternoons by the pool, the lake, family picnics, and relaxing evenings with good friends and lively conversations
We are pleased to announce that our wine team has carefully selected three distinctively refreshing dry white wines that not only pair with a variety of foods and cuisines, but they are also great by just sipping on a glass while enjoying the sunshine. In this Three Hammers Three Pack (3H3P), you will find our 2018 Grüner Veltliner, 2018 Stainless Chardonnay, and 2018 Viognier. Grüner Veltliner is an exotic alternative to Sauvignon Blanc. Dry and backed by crisp acidity, this wine shows flavors and aromas of lemon, orchard blossoms, and melon. Our Chardonnay, fermented and aged in stainless tanks is without the oakiness and buttery notes. Subtler, refreshing, lighter-bodied with acidity than the oaked Chardonnay. And finally the Viognier is rich but notably fresh for a Central Virginia Viognier, with tangy flavors of peach syrup, key lime, and cream soda, rich texture, and a bright, pithy stone fruit pit note on the finish. Three Hammers Three Pack is now specially offered at $56! Normal retail is $75.
This chardonnay is stainless steel fermented and aged with more acidic and vibrant aromatics. While more subtle, refreshing and lighter bodied than oaked chardonnay, this wine provides a great alternative for those looking for a chardonnay without the oakiness and buttery notes from barrel aging
Shows an immensely appealing nose of white peach, jasmine, and honeydew melon, lifted by notes of white pepper and kiwi. On the palate, rich but notably fresh for a Central Virginia Viognier, with tangy flavors of peach syrup, key lime, and cream soda, rich texture, and a bright, pithy stone fruit pit note on the finish

Our Hammer Bros. Rooster's Revenge Sweet Riesling offers the best of both worlds, the bright natural acidity with concentrated, ripe fruit flavors and a touch of sweetness. A beautiful, aromatic nose of peach and apricot. This wine offers lush orange marmalade flavors with a crisp finish. Brings back memories of grandma's baked apple pie. It's not complicated, but it's fresh, fruity, and just plain good!
This crisp wine makes a refreshing Spring/Summer sipper. As one of the most unique grapes and fruit-forward varietals in our lineup, this Frontenac Gris wine is bursting with tropical fruit flavors. A bold nose begins the experience with layered notes of strawberry, grapefruit, and pineapple. As a cool climate grape, this amber-colored wine exhibits a good amount of acidity, which is balanced nicely with a touch of natural residual sugar. The long finish is clean and refreshing. It is the perfect hot weather wine and a great beer alternative. Life pairing – Sitting on a dock with your feet in the water!
We bottled summer and stuck a cork in it! Our 2018 Hammer Bros. Windmill White is a lively sweet white you'll want to keep around long after Labor Day.
