Food took 45 mins to come out (appetizers) and when they came were cold. Tried again and food was fair but still not warm enough. The waitress was the only bright spot on the experience and the apple cobbler.
Despite arriving to be greeted by a rude and dismissive hostess we did have a good dinner and our server was polite.
The food was very good, exactly what I had expected from reviews. The service was disgraceful. We had to call on other servers to get any service at all. We were basically forgotten. It is a shame because we are patrons of the theater and had looked forward to trying this restaurant. After this experience, I do not see us returning.
Not enough waitress help.
The four of us had different entrees and mostly different desserts. My spouse had the lamb shank, which he has had on more than one occasion and he enjoyed it. He thought the peach cobbler should have been served warm.My sister thought the filet and shallot mashed potatoes were delicious. I had the scallops and they were melt-in-your-mouth tender. The quinoa with plum relish was an original and taste and textural compliment. The sweet corn cheesecake with the blueberry balsamic reduction was a dessert I will dream of--the perfect end to a satisfying meal.
My wife and I were so pleasantly surprised! The food was like off the charts fantastic! Our server and his service was outstanding (thanks Abraham).
Everything was great. I love your rack of lamb chops and was very disappointed that they were not on the menu. Waiter recommended the lamb shank. Good but hope the lamb chops return. Please
Yesterday when we went to the breakfast buffet, there was a very large table of guests when we arrived. There were a number of children in this group. Children were running around and screaming and I mean screaming at the top of their lungs. It was deafening. And I understand the kids will be kids, but this was unacceptable behavior. I know if I did this when I was a kid, my parents would never of tolerated, but these parents didn’t really care about anyone else in the restaurant. So I asked the hostess if there was something she could say to them and she said no. I was very disappointed that someone from your staff could not ask them to control their children if they were disturbing your other guests. If they wouldn’t have left shortly after I requested this, I would’ve taken upon myself to politely asked them to control their children that they were disturbing other guests in the restaurant. I was disappointed that she did not have the wherewithal to consider everyone else. Food again is always the exact same thing. However we enjoy having breakfast before theater. And the lovely lady who is making omelettes who has been there for years is such a joy! She knows me so well I don’t even have to tell her what I want.
Average food. Steak cooked improperly. Great server!
All tables, no booths and poor lighting makes it feel like you’re eating in a school lunchroom.
Awesome! Everything was perfect! We went prior to our theatre tickets and it was perfect!
Wait staff was very attentive.
Wonderful, accommodating staff. Great food, and great ambiance!
Little loud with bar in bottom level. For an intimate expensive meal, expected little more quietness. Food good but fish lacked flavor, steak was perfect. Veggies crisp and flavorful. Would visit again!
The only issue, and it really was not a big deal, was that people just walked in ahead of us, bypassing us, and having to wait for someone to seat us. There was no one there to greet us which I think should be the case during peak times, such as dinner and breakfast.
We went to the restaurant before a show at the theater. The food and service were fine, but the ambiance is very poor. It kind of felt like a cafeteria almost. It was noticeable that most people going to the theater didn't eat at the restaurant - in future we would look for somewhere nearby other than this. Its a shame because the food was very good and the service attentive.
The food was fantastic! We really enjoyed our dining experience and have already recommended to a friend. The waiter was really nice to us and we hope he was pleased with our tip.
Thanks for a wonderful prelude to our night at the theater!
Food was fine, but the atmosphere is just not great. The table was a little wobbly. We loved Habib. Nice man and took good care of us.
Only if you have time. Each time we have been there, the food was excellent, table servers were attentive, but it took forever to get our food. The servers should not have to repeatedly apologize for the delays in bringing the meal.
Dinner was wonderful and the service at Three Embers is always great. The room is pretty noisy so sometimes it is hard to have a conversation with friends. But always looking forward to a return visit.
Three Embers continues to have excellent food. Our server Darleen is always friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Thanks for the great experience.
Presentations were beautiful
A lot of gnats on the outdoor terrace
Hostess could have been friendly
We usually always grab the breakfast buffet before seeing a show at Marriott Lincolnshire theater. The buffet is very limited, and is always the same thing pretty much from show to show. But then again I guess what could you do with breakfast. Actually you might want to add a quiche or a frittata. Would love to see salmon for the bagels. Just something different! Would just like to see it mixed up a little bit. But the lovely woman whose name escapes me who makes omelettes, and has been there for years and years is just A delight. One of the reasons we come back every show.
I have been going to Marriott Lincolnshire restaurants for many years when seeing the theater. I have always found the food and service excellent. The decor for the new Three Embers is a bit sterile and industrial for my taste. (Yes, I miss the King's Wharf.) I look forward to trying the other restaurant some time.
I had veal medallions and my wife had the scallops. Both were excellent. Our waiter Habib was really personable and made the experience great.
An excellent hotel buffet brunch for father's day. Exactly what our family was looking for. The scrambled eggs were perfect, the French toast delicious. The omlete station was spectacular. Price was very reasonable.
Slow service on Father’s Day. Table wasn’t fully set up when we sat down. Some people had coffee cups, some didn’t. Silverware was missing a fork or spoon in each persons set. Food was better than expected for a buffet.
It was a beautiful setting! The food was good, however it was not really worth the $14 for an omelette.
Lamb and scallops were wonderful. Perfectly cooked. Service was great. Had a great deal with Bogo entre and 1/2 priced wine. Overall very good experience.
Habib our server was incredible , very nice and made this a n extra special night with his great attitude and service
Food was perfect and very tasty
We had a wonderful experience at Three Embers! They were very patient with our toddler (who ran around, the restaurant was slow that evening!), and easily accommodated our gluten and dairy free family. Our server Habib and the head chef made our night so special.
It was our anniversary and we were married at the resort 18 years ago. They made our evening special and the food was delicious. Habib was a great server, attentive and kind.
Los ingredientes usados de buena calidad. Todo con buen sabor y buen servicio. Los sábados tienen un especial de cena de 2 platos por el precio de uno y los vinos a 50% del precio regular lo cual hace que el restaurante valga la pena.
The 16oz rib eye steak with arugula salad was good value, a little over-cooked for medium, but acceptable. My husband had lamb chops that were perfectly done. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely eat there again.
We were a table of five on a Sunday morning pre-theater meal. It took us two hours to get out of the restaurant. Very understaffed.
The room was very nice and we sat by the window looking out onto the patio and the pond...lovely...My friend and I both had the filet which was delicious! We celebrated her birthday and the complimentary treat brought to her was delicious and we were very grateful for it! Darlene was very kind and efficient...we definitely will return!
Our waitress was fantastic!!!
We went for our anniversary and we were treated very well
Overall we would give a 3+ rating. If you are staying at the hotel or want to catch dinner before attending a show at the hotel, it is an acceptable place to eat. But we are from the area and would not recommend it as there are much better restaurants around. We went to the restaurant based upon a review in one of the local Barrington magazines making us believe it would be like a really great Argentinian grill steak house. Perhaps based upon this our expectations were too high.
We started our evening with a couple of martinis that were great with an antipasto platter that was pretty average. The prosciutto served was mostly fat.
For our entrees we ordered the Rack of Lamb and the Bone-in Ribeye both medium rare. The lamb was very good but barely warm and the ribeye was over cooked. For sides we ordered roasted mushrooms that arrived lukewarm and spinach that was partially wilted with no seasoning.
It was my birthday and we were treated to a piece of carrot cake cheesecake that was delicious.
My friend and I were very pleased with our dinner at Three Embers. We both had the burrata salad that was very different from the ones I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. We also both had the filet which was among the most tender and delicious I’ve ever had. A very satisfying dinner that didn’t break the bank.
This is the second time that we have had dinner at the Three Embers, and while the food was great, the convenience (we're theater season ticket holders) s great, the service was terrible both times. We were asked both times if we had theater tickets so that our food would be ready in time for us to relax and enjoy dinner. No such luck either time! In fact, this last time the server told us we would be her "priority" (once we finally had a server stop at our table after being seated for 10 minutes). Our food came out before our second round of wine arrived, we didn't know if it was the bar service or our server. At these prices, there are plenty of other choices within 10 minutes of the theater and we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.
Excellent dining experience in a surprising venue - a hotel restaurant serving families in a fairly casual setting. Food was creatively prepared and beautifully presented. Wine list was not exceptional but has some decent choices. Service prompt and courteous; our waiter Habib was very personable and had a great sense of humor! Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.
our server on Friday night was Habib and he was an amazing person, he was very knowledgeable of all the dishes we had questions on and his suggestions were great! we have never had a better service than the service we received from Habib. looking forward to going back soon, and we will definitely ask for habib as our server. loved the atmosphere and food! great place!
