Great ambiance. the lighting is dim, but it adds to the atmosphere. Key lime pie was amazing!

Enjoyed our dinner. Food was good, service fast and pleasant. Quite noisy so next time will ask for a corner table. We were a group of 4 women trying to catch up and celebrate a birthday. A bit hard to hear each other but didn't stop us - lol!

We will return! The sourdough with eggplant, goats cheese and pine nuts was a delicious starter. The chicken was extreme comfort food that paired well with the gnocchi and the beets and Brussels sprouts. Wine was fairly priced. A wonderful evening for a walk to this charming surprise!

THR & Co doesn't stand up to the level of food and service offered by the Harbord Room. The food is mediocre (but priced well) and the service was really spotty throughout the night.

THR is one of my favourite spots. Every time I eat there I am happy with the tastiness of the food and the technique of the chefs. The last time I had gnudi to start and they were lighter and fluffier than any I've had at other restos. I had grits and shrimp for a main and it was flavourful. I stuck to wine for 'dessert' although the pineapple cake sounded tempting (other option brownie). In the past I've had beef heart tartare (amazing) and fish (simple, healthy and enjoyable). It's a fairly large restaurant but it's cozier, quieter and the service is better than most bistros. They also have a large patio.

The restaurant has a small but creative menu. Excellent cooking and service. Casual, but not too casual. Lots of choice for cocktails beer and wine. But for me it's the food. Always interesting, things you don't see on other menus generous portions, nice atmosphere though it can be a bit noisy at times due to its popularity

Maybe it was the unusual quiet Saturday of Labor Day weekend and the fact that it was unfair of the staff to be hard at work when the rest of us enjoyed day 2 of a long weekend....whatever the excuse, the staff took a long time following up with our order, and following through once the food had arrived. That being said, I've always loved the atmosphere, the lighting is perfect at the hour where I could use a power nap to restore my usual energetic self, and the food is unassuming but sophisticated- if that's even possible. This was their 3rd day of a new menu and almost everything was sumptuous. I'd go back all the time.....

food was a little on the disappointing side. Selection was rather limited and both the squid ink pasta and fried chicken were very salty. Flank steak was good but portion was small. Service was amazingly good. When we told our server the pasta was too salty, he was more than willing to replace our dish. The patio was great too.

I had an amazing experience with friends at THR&co! We had a great server and the manager frequently came over to chat with us and check how everything was. The food was amazing. We ordered each of the fresh pastas and the pizza with farm egg. We ordered the crostini app, warm olives and almonds and the croquettes. Also split the two desserts between our group. Absolutely no complaints it was all very delicious!

Our surprise was that no one told us that on Sunday night we would not be getting the full menu. We had a choice between a BBQ and a vegetarian option.

We had high hopes for THR based on reviews we read but were ultimately disappointed. The dishes are creative but somehow everything just misses the mark in terms of the flavour combinations. Service was inconsistent, perhaps because we didnt fit the hipster demographic they seem to be aiming for. You'd be much better off at Rasa or Harbord Room.

The Sunday gravy is always a favourite for our group especially with people from out of town who enjoy the inclusiveness, novelty and cost of the group meal.

There is a great vhef at work here. Food is inventive and tasty. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive. Although not a small restaurant, it is suitable for a conversation because the music and noise levels are not bad.

The waiters were extremely friendly and attentive, a small but interesting menu and everything was delicious. We tried the baked eggs with sausage, the poached eggs with salmon/avocado toast, the french toast with preserves, and the French press coffee. Want to come back for dinner next time...

I really wanted to like this restaurant, particularly because the Harbord Room is one of our favorite resto's in Toronto. At the end it was both inconsistent and at best mediocre and for a restaurant in the $200 range, you should expect more. A note to the server - wine should complement a meal, not contrast. I don't quite get matching a french wine list (typical Toronto 3+ times mark-up) with an Italian menu - but this gets to the heart of what is wrong with the eating experience.

To give a proper context, I've loved THR & Co on three prior occasions. The food, ambiance and service have been uniformly excellent. We've recommended the place to many friends. Unfortunately, my last dining experience did not measure up. The appies were good and I thought we were in store for another delicious and inventive meal. However, all three mains disappointed - bland ordinary pasta, slightly soggy pizza and bland fish. The two sides, green salad and broccoli, were unremarkable. We mentioned our disappointment to our server when he cleared our plates. To his credit the server thanked us for the feedback and returned with one of the appetizers that we said we'd enjoyed. A more welcome gesture would have been to ask what they could do. At that point, a couple of desserts would have fit the bill rather than another appetizer post-main course. It clearly was an off night. I did wonder if the chef has changed? Given my prior experiences I would go again but we won't rush back.

I found that the ambiance, decor was really great, The food was good too, however to me it seemed that it was definitely overpriced. Although there were a few options mostly it felt expensive for what we got. The place doesn't really look like a fine dining, its more of a casual spot but prices are similar to a a fine dining, for this reason, even though the food was good I found it overpriced and wouldn't come back. There are similar places in Toronto with great food and not as expensive Pizza e Pazzi is a good example where they have homemade pasta and is great value for what you get.
I can't complaint about the service, it was great and friendly.

We didn't realize that THR only offers the Sunday special - the regular menu that we have enjoyed in the past (pizza, fabulous veggie sides) was not offered. The food was delicious, but the vegetarian option, and the general treatment of the vegetarian in the group, was insulting and the lack of choice was offputting.

One of the only places I could find downtown to take brunch reservations on a Sunday. Major bonus! Had brunch with my parents and boyfriend and everything was delicious (my Benny was yummmazing and the grilled cornbread was also delish). Service was great but they charged us for 3 extra meals on the bill. Luckily we notice after we already paid it and they were really apologetic but it took a long time for the correction to happen.

Overall really great experience and would definitely go back when with a larger group and need to make a rez.

The food is so different, but not scary different. The flavours and the tenderness of the meats are perfect. Beef cheeks are amazing, and something we've never seen in any other restaurant.

The staff is all very good, but the girl behind the bar, (sorry, didn't get her name) is funny, entertaining and an excellent ambassador to the restaurant.

My husband and I tried out THR & Co on a bit of a whim. We made a reservation for 9pm on Friday, which turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant was relatively empty, and the server seated us at a nice corner booth that would've been terrific for a group bigger than just the two of us! The food was amazing throughout. We ordered their daily crostini (tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and burrata) and the chestnut and chorizo soup for appetizers, the braised beef cheek and cornish hen for mains, and the pot de creme and sticky date cake for dessert. The beef cheek was possibly the best thing I've ever tasted, so soft that the knife that the server gave us was totally unnecessary. The servers were terrific, never more intrusive than necessary, and the atmosphere was not quiet, but still intimate. I more than recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good eats.

Love this restaurant, the vibe, and service. Haven't been in a while though, and unfortunately feel like the food is not up to the caliber I remember from previous visits. The first time I had the meat rigatoni was a revelation -- this time it came as a huge portion in a big bowl (quicker to get cold), with kind of watery sauce, not quite al dente and... peanuts? Roasted radishes majorly undercooked and almost not edible. I will come back, but without the same excited spring in my step...

Very good food and helpful friendly service. Sadly, THR & Co. is a real step-down from the former restaurant in the space - Messis. Junk music may be thought to attract a younger crowd but only added to the illusion of a downgrade.
