Food was delicious. We had an early pre theatre dinner and the service was very slow until the main waiter arrived and put things under control, however a drink was still not delivered.

Absolutely loved our meal at Thong Thai! The prawn Pad Thai came beautifully wrapped in an egg net—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and visually stunning. The crispy pan-fried seafood with eggs was a real highlight—super crispy and packed with flavor. The Tom Yum Mama had a nice spicy kick, and the fried morning glory was incredibly crunchy and full of umami. We finished with their Thai signature pudding, a panna cotta-like dessert that was smooth, lightly sweet, and just perfect. Great food, warm service—highly recommend!

Thongthai is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in Melbourne! Every dish bursts with genuine Thai flavours—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are standouts, but honestly, everything we tried was exceptional, from the crispy mussel pancake to the Chinese Broccoli with Pork. You can truly taste the care and expertise in every bite, making it feel like a trip to Thailand without leaving the city. The curry was delicious, the pad Thai was decent, and the spring rolls were disappointing! The service was the worst part of the experience. They took 10 minutes to come to us, hurried us through ordering, then took 15 minutes to bring us our beer. When we asked they were very snippy about it. I hate leaving bad reviews but the expectation from past reviews no where met our reality.

Such an untraditional Xmas lunch for us but did not disappoint- food came out quickly, was delicious and well presented and staff friendly and accomodating - yummy cocktails a bonus.

Absolutely amazing experience, great service, I was on a date with my girlfriend and asked if they could hide a note for her when I booked and they very cutely wrote note on a napkin for me. It was way beyond what I expected and the regrets to us by name and they made sure everything was great. The food was incredible and I will definitely be going back. Best place I’ve been to in a long time.
