We made a reservation on open table and then went to a restaurant that was closed. There should have been a notice it was closed on their website or they should not have offered reservations!

We apologize for the experience you had with us. With the outages of Hurricane Beryl we ran into some difficulties with online services and some how missed your reservation. We apologize for not informing you of the power outage. We would love a chance to make it up to you however!

The service was good and the food was amazing from the drinks, to the appetizers and entrees. But we didn’t expect the music to be as loud and overpowering as it was. At times it was really hard to have a conversation without yelling. Wouldn’t recommend for a Sunday night dinner date night.

Awesome food service, amazing ambience! I wish it was less restrictive for regular patrons to gain access to the basement area of Thirteen, rather than being charged an additional fee on top of your main dining meal.

Thank you for your kind words and we apologize for the inconvenience. On Saturday nights we have leased the club to a third party promotion group so we do not control the door prices. However, We will now pre purchase some passes to be able to offer to patrons on those nights. Thank you for the idea and allowing us to enhance the experience for other guest.

Upset that what’s on the website is not what they actually have ( southern cuisine ) it’s more Japanese cuisine. The food was very good and very expensive . Gratuity was more than one meal . Also beware not to reserve a table online you will pay 25 per person if you cancel and the catch is don’t think you’ll be able to call and cancel the phone numbers listed will reject your call after the second call and you’ll receive a message that you call is identified as spam risk and it will disconnect the call …… 👌… But hey the thirteen drink is awesome

We apologize that you had anything less than a perfect experience with us. With the remodel and menu change it has been a challenge to erase old google reviews and posted pictures but rest assure we are working hard on it. Our website as well as all social media pages are up to date however. We also have added additional phones to the front desk as well as additional lines to allow more callers the ability to call simultaneously since you have brought this to our attention. Thank you for allowing us to enhance to experience for you and other guest.

This restaurant is definitely having an identity crisis. I had previously been to 13 before the remodel and the change of the menu for happy hour. The food was more of a variety of things and I remember some of the things I had such as chicken wings, the buffalo cauliflower, for example, were very good. This new Asian inspired tasting menu just does not make sense to me. It does not go with overall vibe of the restaurant either. You’re paying 100 to 150% more on food cost for tiny plates, which is absolutely ridiculous. What would have worked is to make this more of a tapas restaurant where you can order a variety of small plates at more affordable prices so that a person would be encouraged to want to order more bites for the table. Spending $50 on a tiny plate of food to still be hungry afterwards is insane. Also, the music in the main dining room was way too loud. I can’t even enjoy a conversation with friends because of how loud the music is so they really should consider adjusting the volume levels. Went to the lounge afterwards and spent $76 on three drinks which is very insane. I can go to a steakhouse and pay less for the drinks than what 13 charges $30 for an espresso martini is outrageous. Also, I don’t like how they try to be sneaky about the tip. FYI, the 20% gratuity is already built in so when they take you to the page to sign unless you’re feeling generous, no need to add an additional tip. I will say the waitress we had was very good and very knowledgeable about the menu. One of the drinks I ordered. I did send back to the bar because it tasted like pure juice which would be the lychee drink as pretty as it was I’m not paying for juice. honestly, the restaurant should’ve stayed the way it was in my opinion no need for me to return back for anything. Too many other places in Houston to go to where I may pay a premium for the food, but I’m actually going to leave full and happy.

I apologize your experience at Thirteen was not exactly as you would have hoped. We are working hard every day to create a menu and pricing that is appeasing to the city of Houston. We have recently changed our menu as well as added a new happy hour menu Wednesday thru Friday from 5-8pm where we offer $10 cocktails and $10-$15 food item from our main menu. We would love to see you again as everyone deserves a second chance.

Took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday. The Japanese inspired cuisine was great for me as a vegetarian. Our server Shay, he was extremely knowledgeable about the food and how they taste. This was extremely helpful for us to make a decision on drinks, apps, and our entrees. Couple things I thought could be better. 1. They had a bar tender doing another bartenders hair while behind the bar, and we watched, and I overheard the booth next to us speaking on it. Specifically, she was doing her edges. 2. Our reservation was for 7:00 pm and we arrived at 07:05 pm due to traffic which the staff was very friendly when I called to let them know and they made me aware of the 15-minute grace period. About 20 minutes into our experience, they were adjusting lights really dark, the backup. We just didn't understand that since dinner service had already started and it seemed like they would've had that figured out. 3. During our meal, they turned the music up so loud that you had to lean in to speak to one another. We loved the vibe and the music, but it seemed a vut loud for enjoyment. We felt bad for the people ne t to us who were also not in a booth and who had offered up to the server that they were on a first date. It was so loud that the man had to move from his seat, to sit ok the corner of the half booth to talk with his date. Overall, the experience was good. We will go back, but it does seem like they have a little work to do with staff (bartenders and whoever handles music). Again, if you get Shay as your server, he's amazing!
