The best thing on the menu....maybe on any menu
Food was good and our server was attentive. Our order was as expected. Great Pear Martinis!
One of the worst places for service I've ever been. I waited for 45 mins for a jack Daniels on the rocks. Two waiters came and asked me multiple times what I was having. It's not difficult. Two ingredients that's it. I'll never come back.
Great value as always, food is very good, fresh squeezed margaritas were made fresh without all the sweet n sour, although could have used a tad more tequila for me. Server was good but as with many restaurants now and staff shortages she wasn’t able to be as attentive as the good ole days and I did become parched from running out of margaritas twice. As I said though this is unfortunately becoming more normal now and I don’t blame the server.
Our first time to dine at Thirsty Lion and we will definitely return! The food was delicious and options were wide-ranging! Great patio experience.
Great place, good service, convenient location and great food. Manager Jason is top notch and does everything to make the experience a positive one. Get the Pear Martini...it's the best!
The service was friendly, prompt, and courteous from start to finish!
The food was great - at an odd price point for being in a shopping plaza in Euless- i.e. more than one would expect to pay for a restaurant sitting in between an Old Navy and a Forever 21 - but no one left disappointed. We had the crispy chicken sliders and ahi poke plate for appetizers; both were excellent, albeit small-ish in quantity. Our family of six had a variety for dinner:
* Pepperoni and four cheese pizza - My 10 year old said it was great and ate nearly all of it (he's not a big eater, so there's that); crust was thin and nicely toasted - crunchy on the outside and warm and soft within.
* Praised pork ramen - The noodles were WAY down at the bottom of the bowl, but once they were discovered, it was a hit. The pork was tasty and the noodles were done well.
* Ahi poke bowl - While it didn't have as much ahi as expected (about the same amount as the appetizer), it was very tasty and well put together (read: just enough rice and lots of veggies!).
* Pork tacos - Different spices than expected, so not the "street" taco taste we were going for, but good nonetheless. (The black beans on the side were one of two things we weren't thrilled with ... they were meh)
* Pepper bacon cheeseburger - Quite honestly, I am going to assume this tasted good; however, considering my 14-year-old ate it in literally 4 bites, I cannot be sure. ;-)
* Jalapeno pepper jack burger - No complaints on this one, either - tasty and filling, although maybe could use a few more jalapenos?
The folks who had burgers did say the fries were just ok, but considering everything else was well beyond "ok", we will just make a different selections for sides next time!
Service was slow tonight. Our waitress had inside and outside tables. And too many of them. My guess is that they don’t have enough staff. Food was very good.
This place is nice. I am a picky eater and I shouldn't have tried something new.
Great food and great atmosphere
Overall just a nice place
The patio is the best!
We love this place and would normally give it 6 stars, but this time we ordered fish tacos and there were literally 2 - 3 tiny nuggets of fish. We told the waitress and she brought us extra fish and made it right.
Always have great food and pleasant atmosphere at the The Thirsty Lion.
The only thing to note is that on this visit OpenTable allowed is to reserve an outside table, however, when we arrived the restaurant said they stopped taking outside reservations for a month and a half and we would have to wait for over 20 minutes at the least. It was explained to me that this was an OpenTable problem that the restaurant had repeatedly asked for the reservation service to fix, but to no avail.
Fortunately, the manager made it right and we still had a terrific, tasty meal with tremendous service.
Hopefully, in the near future, the app will work with the restaurant to better provide accurate information in advance so that the reservation process matches the other high-caliber aspects this restaurant serves up.
Good food and atmosphere. Service was spotty. I suspect it was a case of being short-handed and not inattention on the part of the wait staff.
We had a great pear martini and the jalapeño burger. Both were awesome. It was busy, and our server was MIA for a little bit. But we were in and out of there in an hour. The manager was great in resolving our issue. We will definitely be back. Would love to sit on the patio next time.
Pretty good food. The menu is not too big, so you can choose quickly.
Really clean place, server was very pleasant and attentive. She even let me change my drink when they didn’t have the one I ordered and had me try another one before deciding to buy. Price was good. It started to get slightly noisy around 6 pm as more people came in. Overall 5 stars
Great food and drinks. Our waiter was super nice!
Birthday gathering was perfect. Good food
Always a delicious brunch!! And get the carafe of Bloody Mary's for sure
Some of the food was gross. We wouldn’t recommend the queso or the sushi. Super questionable.
Great food and service and at a VERY reasonable price for a date. $50 for a date, heck yeah!
It was really nice for drinks and snacks.
Came for BrunchityBrunchBrunch & was NOT disappointed! Great service, fantastic food & cocktails.... mimosas were legit guys.
Love this place, will be coming back again & again!!
Service was exceptional tonight. Very friendly and fast. Food was very good. Always enjoy going to this restaurant. The only downside was the patio was full.
Food and service getting much better, especially the newer servers.
The staff seems to never know promotions and be prepared to tell them. Frequent diner program also very poor, so verify visit points at all visits.
Great atmosphere- a little loud on a Wednesday evening- food great- missed the one I went to in Tempe AZ and glad we have one in Tx now!
We met friends in the area- none of us were local- found this gem on open table. Great first impression, beautiful place, area was open and clean, we were seated outside and it was lovely. Service was excellent, drinks great! And the food was absolutely fabulous with many wonderful options. I had a blood orange Cosmo and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. We chose severL appetizers and snacks to share and then had a wide variety of entrees. All seven of us were wowed by our selections. Sadly we were too full for dessert, but maybe next time! Thank you- I highly recommend this spot!
We went for Saturday brunch. There was a crowd but not so noisy that we could have visit. Food was awesome as was the server. Prices were very reasonable. All in all we truly enjoyed our brunch and will be back soon.
Fish and chips is a good as any I've had, anywhere. Their food is outstanding across the menu and service is great. My only criticism is if you are seated inside during dinner rush, be ready for about 90-93DB ambient noise (I checked with an app) due to the concrete floors and high industrial ceilings.
Last meal with coworkers
Went for Easter Brunch. Wait staff was very friendly but service seemed slow. Maybe due to it being a holiday or more people out due to COVID-19 restrictions lifting.
Food was good. Good atmosphere.
Would eat here again.
The 1st time we went out for a family meal in over 1 yr. Our Easter brunch was perfect. Dining on the patio, spacing between tables was still in place. We were excited to be back at one of our favorite places in the mid-cities area. The food was just as we expected & service was attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.
First brunch in a year! Glad to see face masks on staff. Our waitress was on it.
We had two different glasses brought to us that had been used. One had lip stick in it and the other one had water left in it. Service was slow. Food was decent. Kids enjoyed running and playing while waiting did dinner.
Food was very good, waitress was great. Ambience was pleasant
Not very crowded but service was exceptionally slow and food was mediocre. Must have been an off night for both the wait staff and the kitchen.
