   Thirsty Clam is my goto for great seafood at amazing prices. Very friendly people. Attentive bartenders. The owner is always present. You are greeted with a sample of the house Jersey Boy chowder, which is outstanding. Fresh seafood can be purchased from a display to go. Elvis impersonator, karaoke, live band music - there is something planned for most days. Where else can one get Swiss, spinach and crab omelet during the week? I especially like the fact that I can get crab and some others seafood entries by the piece instead of being forced to buy a dozen. Make sure you drive to the building in the back, the one in front is NOT Thirsty Clam.

   The food was good. We went for the oyster special they have on Mondays and Tuesdays. Service was subpar and they have wine based drinks. No one seems to know how long the food will take and it's never fast service. The owners sit at the bar and drink I think every day. The oysters were good but it's not a very clean restaurant. Seems like a lot of bar flies(drunks) hang out there all day. They laughed at us the first time we went for the oyster night because we didn't make a reservation and the bartenders were rude. Probably not going back.

   This is a rustic seafood restaurant with excellent seafood and raw bar. The food is available raw, broiled, baked but not fried. The raw oysters from Appalachicola were large and delicious. The boiled shrimp were large and served either chilled or hot. The Kingfish is served broiled or blackened and mine which was broiled was very good. If you are looking for a fancy fine dining experience, this restaurant mat not fit your needs. On the other hand if you are looking for tasty seafood that is not fried, this could be just your place. Many locals and a few snowbirds were dining there when we were. This is the best raw bar we have visited in 2017.

   The facility is very rustic with a local clientele. The raw oysters and the steamed shrimp were excellent. The soft shell crab sandwich which was a special not so tasty. We would return for the oysters and shrimp but would not order the soft shell crab.
