ThirstyBear is the first & only Certified Organic brewery in San Francisco!! Pairing Spanish cuisine of Tapas & Paellas with hand-crafted organic beer, sangria, Spanish & California wines, & full bar with premium spirits.

ThirstyBear serves only sustainable harvested seafood; all natural meats free of growth hormones & synthetic additives; and local organic seasonal produce.

ThirstyBear recycles all paper, glass, aluminum & plastic. We compost all organic matter; we recycle our cooking oil into biodiesel. Our menu paper is post consumer recycled; our to-go containers are recyclable or compostable. We use energy efficient lighting, heating, cooling & conserve water in the brewery & restaurant.

The place definitely has a loud, post-work crowd. If that's your scene, go for it! Otherwise, the food was lackluster and expensive and the beer and cocktail menu was minimal (When I was there, they weren't serving any of their own brews, so maybe my opinion will change later). Our waiter was super attentive, funny and treated us right, so that is pretty much the only plus I would give the place.

Went there only because of the flamenco show (which was mediocre at best; guitarist and dancer Bianca were enjoyable but singer and other dancer were not so great) but the food was very disappointing. Gambas ajillo had strange red tint and flavor to the oil; patatas bravas has way too much garlic; boquerones were masked with other fillers that they were hardly there; ribs were so so but not really Spanish; skewers were nothing to write home about... Their beer tank was undergoing maintenance so they were serving beer from other friends and colleagues, and the St Archer from San Diego was delicious.

Inventive food, reasonable prices, attractive contemporary ambiance all combine to make this place a choice spot if you're around the Yerba Buena Center.

Service was slow and food was decent. Empanadas was really good as were the drinks! A vibrant sports bar with a nice take on bar food.

Food was good, but portion sizes were all over the place. Some items were very filling and others were too small. This is mainly a group place - based on that I think the appetizers/tapas should all be sharable size.

Only on Sunday evenings you'll see Spanish Flaminco dancing live in person, so bring a date, go with friends / coworker's & they will be amazed plus food & drinks are good there also!!
