Excellent service and food.
Very good food and service. Went to mother's brunch and got to try lots of stuff. Will definitely go back again.
Third Coast has a very strange approach through a food court with a Chik-fil-a, but once you arrive on the right floor, it is an oasis in the midst of a medical district. The tables are nicely spaced, the service thoughtful, and the food was excellent. It was great for a business meal where we could talk easily and were not rushed.
We happen to be next-door at MD Anderson and needed a place to get away to and have a nice lunch. This restaurant proved to be The perfect place! Wonderful service and great food. Really enjoyed the beet hummus that was placed underneath the falafel! In a beautiful setting for the restaurant… You do not feel like you are in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle of the area.
Excellent food and atmosphere.
Excellent experience. The service was spot on, the plates had the perfect blend of flavors and the noise level was quiet - perfect for good conversation.
Food was beautifully presented, but not good. The ambiance was wonderful and quiet.
The food is exceptional as is the decor. A lovely place quiet enough for a great conversation.
Lunch just as it opened. Very well appointed dining areas. Food was excellent and artistically presented. Careful attention to details were very obvious both in preparation and design. Crab cake starter superb. Both entrees perfect. The Bourbon Tart dessert was unbelievably good. You have to park in underground garage and go to 6th floor of building but they comp parking for you. The chef has/her act very together. We will return on next Houston visit.
Great locale for business lunch or dinner
Great place in the heart of the medical center. Great fish, spectacular service. Great view of the medical center.
Great experience for those wanting to splurge every now-and-then. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The food was amazing, service was impeccable, and the venue was immaculate. There does seem to be a business casual dress code, but I don’t think they will turn you away as long as you’re not distracting. I saw a guy in a Cardinals T-shirt at the table next to us.
Noise level was a bit high but any place that welcomes families/children can be like that. And truthfully, the staff did a great job at positioning potentially loud parties away from couples looking for a more intimate experience.
Visited for Valentine's Day, so our expectations were a little lower than perhaps they might be on a normal night. Third Coast exceeded our expectations! Parking was easy and free, dining room is attractive, and the food and service were excellent. The prix fixe menu was large and everything we tried was delicious, well portioned, and attractive. Crab cakes were actually made of crab and not a lot of stuffing, steak was huge and delicious, salmon was well portioned and prepared perfectly. Desserts were creative, fresh, and delicious. The service was professional without being overly friendly. Will definitely be back.
Great surprise in the medical center area.
This place is convenient for business meal within the medical center.
Service and food was excellent!
The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. It is a great place to have a business meal in the Texas Medical Center.
Food was fantastic and service was great. The chef was kinda cute too!
Very tasty lunch. Service staff were excellent and attentive.
I took my friend out for dinner on a Sunday evening to thank her for hosting me for the previous ten days. Third Coast sounded good and the location worked well for us. Upon arrival we were surprised to find a very large private event in the main dining area. We were offered seats in an adjacent area of the main dining room where there were a handful of other diners. We were oddly offered two seats at the end of a table for eight or ten people, and when I asked for a different table, we were shown to a four top table that was jammed up against a column. It was very awkward. Our salads and entrees were well-presented and quite tasty, and I thought the food and wine were both a good value for the quality. Within a short amount of time, however, toasting and speeches started at the private event and were accompanied by cheering that was absolutely deafening, making conversation impossible. The manager came over to apologize, which we appreciated, but that didn't save our evening. To top things off, their credit card machine was not working, making it necessary to leave written credit card information to be run through at a later time. I am not rating Third Coast as low as I might because the food was so good, but I doubt I would try it again when there are so many other wonderful restaurants in Houston that have their acts together much better.
The food is great but too pricy for lunch for people working in the medical center. There should be some inexpensive options like a good pasta menu.
Beautiful, clean, buisness casual, professional staff, amazing food, great service .👍🏼👍🏼
Superb, fresh food; talented staff including waiters.
Add photos or paintings to the walls to add warmth please.
I went with my husband on Saturday and we were very impressed because the place was empty. The food and attention are excellent, and the place is beautiful. After a while some very elegant people arrived, and the waiter told us that people arrived later but that they were usually full all week with business meetings.
We enjoyed a very nice meal at Third Coast. The prices were quite reasonable for most items and we enjoyed their ribeye, lamb chops and mahi-mahi. It was a quiet weekday night, but the restaurant was lovely.
Outstanding wait staff, very attentive. The tomato basil soup was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Also, the freshness of the bathroom was most impressive.
The special room was gorgeous as is the whole newly remodeled Restuarant! As soon as I got there the nite manager Jeronimo??? He was so nice and informative and he gave me a tour of the other special rooms of his restaurant. Next he introduced me to our waiter; Arturo, who asked me many questions about the check and the cake and our decorations that we brought! The room ambiance was so nice with our candle centerpiece as well as with the gorgeous cake we purchased! So pretty and delish. Arturo was a wonderful and thoughtful waiter and made our special gust of honor feel so good. We will def go back especially for drinks out on the balcony!
Candlerio was out wait person and was attentive and helpful.
If you go here order the calamari -it’s fresh always.
The entire experience is delightful
This was our first visit since the restaurant changed hands. The ambiance is a bit more austere with plastic placemats replacing the white tablecloths. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Wine prices seemed reasonable. Parking is not nearly as good as it was before (basement vs top floor close to restaurant) and the exit system is confusing with a validation that didn't work. Still, this is a good choice for a restaurant in the medical center vicinity.
Excellent dining in pristine quietness.
Food is plated beautifully and the food taste amazing. What
I have used ThIIIrd coast consistently for business meetings in the TMC. I would say that 90% of the time they get it right but during my last visit both me and my guest had to send our salmon back for being under cooked. Not sure if the chef was having a bad day but hope this is not an indication of things to come as I live everything about this place.
The menu had a healthy variety of dishes. The presentation of all aspects of the meal was impeccable and the service was outstanding. It has been a long time since a waiter placed a chair under us as we were seated and also put a napkin on our laps. This is a great venue to impress clients, family or friends.
Excellent meal. Beautiful views & restaurant. May I suggest street sign @ Bertner & Holcombe , along with a different sign as you approach the garage?
We went for a business lunch with colleagues in Third Coast and loved everything about it. Great location in the heart of the medical center, easy parking which is a big deal in this area, free parking for the restaurant guests, excellent menu, great selection of food and flexibility in adjusting dish parameters. The food presentation was great. It was quiet, so we could talk and easily hear each other. To improve, the only recommendation I have would be to have the fire place on. It was working the last time I enjoyed coming to this restaurant, but not this time. Overall, everyone in our group thought that the restaurant choice for our business lunch was perfect.
Delicious food, good service, nice ambiance, centrally located in the Houston Medical Center
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Great selection of wines, cocktails were creative and delicious. Hidden gem, we will certainly return soon!
I was really impressed with the entire experience. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They took the time to take several pictures of our group. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I plan to return. Thanks for a great evening!
I had the watercress salad with pears with the add on grilled shrimp. Best salad I have EVER eaten. I’ll be back.
Beautiful restaurant. Great food!
