   This was our first time eating at Third Coast Provisions and our meal was fantastic. The specialty drinks were refreshing and perfect for a summer evening. We were there for Downtown Dining week and ate from the special menu, but all of the dishes were fresh and flavorful. We will definitely return to sample more from the regular menu. The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice - upscale, quiet, perfect for a date or a special night out. Having a drink and appetizer at the bar would also be fun. Good mix of ages and diverse crowd.

   We haven’t visited in years so thought we would try for Downtown Dining Week. What a disappointment. Extremely overpriced and tiny portions. We enjoy fine dining (Zarletti, Sanford, etc.) and don’t mind the expense. A $20 glass of wine is excessive unless a fine vintage. Excellent service despite all.

    After a many wonderful visits on the past this experience was substantially less joyful. Being a seafood destination, three seafood entries were unchanged in three months. While oysters were palatable, the lacked flavor. Cod was ok. My dish was over salted, not what I expected of a “ short rib dish Dirty Martini served in a tiny glass was almost non alcoholic. . Server Julian took good care of us and deserves our accolade. Unfortunately I can no longer consider you in my top ten destinations.

    Made a reservation but was asked to sit at the bar. At first it annoyed me but the bartender provided absolutely fabulous service. She was familiar with the food, gave great descriptions, followed up to keep things timely etc. It was an all around pretty legendary meal and experience.

    I had been looking forward to eating at third coast but found the food disappointing. The whipped crab cake dip tasted like mashed potatoes. The lobster pot pie had inconsistent cooking of the vegetables and way more cream sauce than necessary. It overshadowed any of the actual food. I also don’t feel entirely comfortable being served food by someone who has hair that is not held back.

    We ate at the bar, and the service was outstanding and mixologist/bartender did a fantastic job along with the other server staff. Had quite a few dishes, most were fantastic but a couple were under seasoned. It was a great overall experience!

    Fantastic Easter Brunch! Should have been included in one of the many media reviews of best Easter Brunch spots in Milwaukee. We reserved our brunch late this year and many of the typical MKE Easter Brunch spots were full. We were super happy with Third Coast Provisions’ brunch. The prices for the food and portions were reasonable and the menu was was delicious.

    Let me start by saying the food was delicious! The Brie was the best I’ve ever had and the lobster pot pie was stuffed with huge chunks of meat. I could only eat half it was so big. My friend had a rabbit ravioli and it was killer. Now for the bad. We ate the bar which is in the dining area. The.bartenders never smiled, complained about scheduling and did a lot of whispering with their hands over their mouths. There were only 6 people at the bar and our bartender couldn’t remember what drinks we had. The other was sneaking shots. The music was one minute French Riviera and the next disco. Very odd… two of the servers that brought the food out were dressed very nicely and another had a flannel on. Ironically, the guy in the flannel was the nicest and most engaging of them all. Lastly, the over head light fixtures were filthy and there were burned out bulbs. The food is very expensive but definitely worth going for. They are however lacking an identity.

    Incredible! We were celebrating our 18 year wedding anniversary. They brought our group complimentary sparkling wine and tuna tartare appetizer. Very classy and thoughtful gesture. Our server was fantastic. Very engaging and enthusiastic. The food was delicious. Cocktails were phenomenal. Inherent Vice was sooooo good. I literally have nothing negative to say except the one vegetarian option on the menu they were out of. So one in my party had to get creative to find something. Otherwise 10/10

    We really enjoyed our experience at Third Coast Provisions. The atmosphere is great, the staff is wonderful and the food and drink was very, very good. The only drawback was that the prices were quite high. We do appreciate fine dining and quality, interesting food but felt that the prices were pushing our limit. We might be back since we had a great experience but most likely only for a special occasion.

    Third Coast Provisions is one of our favorite Downtown Milwaukee restaurants. It's the place where I proposed to my wife 5 years ago, so it will always be a special place for us. We love the ambience, the food, their drink and dessert menus, and the service staff is very attentive! They also make special events even more special with surprising glasses of champagne when they notice or are made aware of celebrations. One minor issue with our most recent visit: The haddock fish fry, while very tasty and a generous portion, was a bit salty. It would be nice to see low/lower-sodium options on their menu. But this will not stop us from going back and we look forward to our next visit!!

    I was expecting better. Might have been because they had a new menu and they are still working out a few things. The starters (Octopus, and lobster potholes) were great. The filet was cooked perfectly and good flavor. The lobster pot pie was way too salty and could have fed 2 easily (wish the server had mentioned this). The fish fry was ok (potato pancakes were bland). The lobster mac was nothing special. The cocktail I had was great but very small. The $20 glass of wine was ridiculously small, like a tasting size. Great service and ambiance. Bottom line: for the price and previous reviews, we were expecting to be wowed, but we were not.

    Great service, delicious food and fun cocktails. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, attentive and fun. The bartender overheard me fondly remembering a cocktail that was no longer on the menu and mixed it for me - “It’s a Sin to be Tired”, tequila, cold brew and coffee liqueur. He also hand mixed a cocktail based on a flavor profile.

    Thoroughly enjoyed each moment, as soon as we stepped in the door, we were immediate greeted with kindness. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and assisted us with our dietary needs. Food was great, the buttered bay bread was my favorite appetizer, but the entree meat hash browns were a close second. Would recommend.

    Happy birthday to my husband! Very impressive menu and delightful wait staff. We felt special from our greeting when we arrived.     Im not sure what happened here, the previous times I have been here it has been stellar. I ordered the fish fry based on what my other diners were ordering and it was the worst fried fish I have ever eaten (half eaten!) the haddock was ensconced in a ball of dough and overly cooked. The fish itself was incredibly salty and dry. The potato pancakes were tasty but dry and overcooked as well. I chose not to say anything to be polite to my other diners and I didn’t want to come off as ‘that person’ so i remained silent. However, I do not think I will return to this restaurant with so many other really good options out there. Too bad, its a really pretty place.

    First time at Third Coast, and I really want to like it … but our experience was mixed. The food was really good; “lobster potholes” were a fun and super-rich twist on escargot with butter and garlic (swap escargot with lobster and voila!). Lobster pot pie was as good as that sounds and maybe better; the puff pastry top made it seem lighter. Super rich but very good. We had a great wine, and appreciate the somm’s help. Drinks menu is interesting and varied, and wine list has some less common choice (which I like), and a rage of prices. Service was friendly but slow. Staff was very busy but tried to be attentive. But … there were long gaps; dinner was 90 minutes, and seeing another table come in well after us and get starters well before we had anything was demoralizing. I assume everyone has staffing pressures, but still, wasn’t what we hoped for. I would go back, but some in our group aren’t convinced.
