Located in one of the oldest operating taverns in Indiana, Third and Main carries on the historic traditions with an upscale menu in a casual atmosphere. Just a short drive from Cincinnati along the Ohio River, this family-owned and operated restaurant is a great place to get away from the bustle of city living.

    We had Rudy take care of us around 3pm on a saturday. There wasn't many people in the restaurant at all, it was pretty nice to be honest. This was only my second visit ever. My daughter loves steak and I opted to take her for her birthday so she could give the taste of the world a shot. She loved every minute of it. My first visit I believe the owner served our dinner party for a work event and brought out death certificates of the meat we were eating. Went over a litany of details about the farms, cattle, diets, etc. For my daughter I asked Rudy to kind of do the same thing. He brought out a whole binder with certifications of all the meat purchased and went over details with her. She was thrilled. Rudy did a bang up job, I couldn't have asked for anything else to be honest. Thank you, for everything. I really appreciate Rudy, the chef, everyone who contributed to the dinner. Y'all are great.

    Went last minute on weekend. Sat in bar as their was music. Servers were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I didnt want to spend the money for waygu and ordered a bone in ribeye. It was cooked correctly. We had a wonderful evening.

    This was our first time eating there. We heard about Third and Main and how good their food is from our daughter and her husband. Well, I can say we weren't disappointed. Their menu has a good selection of offerings to meet everyone's taste. Pricing is in the average range for this type of restaurant unless you get one of their specialty steaks. I had the 8-ounce filet mignon, which was cooked perfect, very tender and delicious. My wife had the Amish Gerber chicken which she stated was also very good. We topped our evening off with a piece of their 4 layers chocolate cake. If you have a like chocolate, this is a must. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Third and Main.

    We went on Tuesday for our Anniversary and it was very slow. No recognition of our Anniversary, even though it was noted in our reservation and the waitress asked what brought us in. The bread plate was ok. Everything else was excellent. I was expecting more formal attire, but there were people there in jeans and a T-shirt.

    Dined with a party of 6. Everyone loved their meal. Salmon, shrimp and grits, sushi, and salads all excellent. Our was server very good. If you have had a bad experience with inconsistent food in the past, come back! Kitchen doesn’t disappoint.

    The food was amazing as usual but the service was terrible. We waited almost an hour from the time we placed our drink order until the server came back for our meal order. Our drinks were empty for 25 minutes and when we asked the gentleman at the sushi bar if we could get refills he said your server will have to do that. The hostess stated that they were busy but they still seated groups that did not have a reservation. Because we were a large group (7) a 20% tip was automatically included

    My lamb was fabulous, her chicken was a little dry. The other couple loved their food. Value is OK - $360 inclusing 20% tip - four dinners, three salads, some sides, 7 drinks/beers/wines, one dessert.

    Haylie was our server. What a pleasure she was. The mussels were awesome, the beef was great, the seafood pasta was HUGE (and great) Pricey, yeah. That's why we went there. Worth it? Absolutely.

    Celebration dinner with my niece. Wonderful sushi, steaks, pasta, lamb and desserts. Service was flawless and the atmosphere was wonderful. A great place for dinner.

    The restaurant seemed nice, but they sat us next to the restrooms so it took away from the atmosphere. We had a reservation and we were celebrating my son’s 18th birthday and we wanted to go somewhere nice. The restaurant was half empty so it would’ve been nice to be seated elsewhere. People kept leaving the door open afterwards so we were looking in the restrooms since the table was right there. Very disappointing. The food was good, but we were disappointed overall.

    We went for a birthday dinner and were surprised by the environment. They moved us from a table in front of the bathroom to another table in the traffic zone but the place is small so no good tables. We are not drinkers so we felt that our server almost immediately dismissed us — the bill wouldn’t be enough. We had to constantly flag him down to get anything and when we asked for something (an appetizer) or he asked if we wanted something (a box) he didn’t bring it. The bread service was $9 for six thin slices of bread and the appetizer was $18 for two shrimp (#s not indicated). We ordered a dry aged ribeye (came with mashed potatoes and asparagus) and rack of lamb (potatoes, no veg), both were fine but nothing special. Our bill was $173 before tip. We were here last September and it was delicious but this time we were underwhelmed. We will travel farther for a better experience next time.
