Theo's Steak, Sides & Spirits - Cambridge
Really enjoyed our first visit to Theo’s. The service and food was excellent. Although we had a reservation there was a little wait for our table. The bartender took good care of us while we waited. There were a lot of large parties making it very noisy but the service was great! Our meals were excellent. Will definitely go back.
Great wedge salad cold beer. Great waiter good time.
This was our second visit to Theo's Steak, Sides & Spirits. We celebrated our anniversary there in early August, and then a birthday and our son's anniversary last weekend. On both visits we have found the food to be wonderful, the service great, and the atmosphere welcoming. We will be definitely be back. Cambridge needed a restaurant of this caliber. We are very pleased.
The did was very good. The service could have been more attentive. There was a larger group next to our table and the background noise made table conversation more difficult.
Food was very good. Noise level a bit high.
Adorable restaurant with nice ambiance. Curtis took great care of us! Food and recommendations were all spot on. Glad we made it in and looking forward to returning.
Had nice drinks at the bar before dinner at Happy Hour prices ($6 martinis). Disappointed they were out of chateaubriand steak--which we had intended to order. Filets we ordered instead were perfectly cooked medium rare and tender. Strip steak was cooked right to medium rare but tough. The bread basket with pretzel bread and flatbread is a nice treat. Enjoyed the Caesar salad which was very lightly dressed and yummy. The toasted Brussels Sprouts are always memorable! It's one of the best places to eat and drink in Cambridge!!!
One of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Great service! Amanda took care of us and it was a great meal.
Our second experience at Theo’s was wonderful. All four entrees were excellent and our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely a restaurant we will visit frequently.
Great food !!! Nice place loved the food and service.
Fined on a weeknight and it wasn’t crowded or noisy. My wife is a vegetarian so she had fish and chips made with red snapper which is a non traditional fish to use. It was mushy and doesn’t help lid up well to deep frying. I had an 8 oz filet that was perfect with a good flavor and texture. The brussel sprouts were excellent as was the flatbread in the generous basket. The drinks were good but the wine list seems limited. Overall a much needed steakhouse at reasonable prices. Will dune again.
The food was wonderful. The space is very nice. The timing of the meal between courses was very good. The seared sesame tuna was cooked beautifully as was my husband’s filet mignon. The fried green tomatoes were a wonderful addition to specials. The make a perfect slightly dirty gin martini..FYI. Welcome to Cambridge!
Amazing service and good! Cambridge can be hot or miss with service but the staff was amazing! We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday and everyone was so sweet. Food was fantastic too!
Ahi tuna, best meal I’ve had all year.
Great food and experience all around!
Our first experience at Theo’s was less than satisfying. As long time fans of their sister restaurant, Ava’s, we were surprised to find Theo’s crowded, very noisy and understaffed. In the hope that this was not usual, we decided against ordering full meals and satisfied ourselves with burgers and drinks instead. We will look forward to another visit to confirm our higher expectations.
The menu selection was good. It included upscale items to everyday bar foods. Cozy atmosphere with a upscale feel. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this venue.
Excellent waitress Catherine Brooks we love Theo’s in St. Michael’s and love this just as much. Going back again tonight.
Our first visit to Theo’s in Cambridge. A few technology issues notwithstanding, it was a nice experience. The food was great and the redone space is beautiful. GM, Daniela, is a ray of sunshine and made the experience all the better. We’ll be back!
Reservation was at 5:45. Ordered dinner and appetizer. Received appetizer and drinks and was told kitchen was backed up. We were the third table with 4 people at the bar. Received food at 7:00. My Thanksgiving dinner of one slice of Turkey which in St. Michael's you give three slices, and peppery cranberries left me unimpressed. My friends steak fits were excellent she said.
It’s wonderful to have a new dining option in town!! The table cloths and paint color give the restaurant a cozy, yet sophisticated feel. My filet was delicious, as were the Brussels Sprouts. The Salmon Caesar Salad was a bit heavy on the garlic. We will be back!!
Great job so soon after opening. Good to see a solid restaurant back in this locale
a very nice alternative to the other restaurant offerings in Cambridge
We (my husband and I) enjoyed the food very much. We certainly will go again. We had the onion soup and the BBQ shrimp for Appetizers and they were both very delicious. I ordered salad with a crab cake and my husband did the meatloaf. We were very pleased and will certainly go back. So great to see another great restaurant in Downtown Cambridge Maryland.
We have now been to Theo's several times. The food is always good. We have had great service (Eric and Curtis) while some of the staff are still learning the ropes. The bar room is loud but in the dining room side you can hold a quiet conversation. A great addition to the always surprising Cambridge dining landscape.
We visit the Eastern Shore most summers & have enjoyed many wonderful meals at Theo’s & it’s sister restaurant Ava’s in St Michaels many times. We were so happy to see both restaurants open in Cambridge this year. Great meals at both places. We look forward to visiting again.
We enjoyed our first experience at Theo's very much. The steak and mashed potatoes were Fabulous although there were too many string beans and a little too crunchy. We felt that the cost was a bit high 101.00 for New York Strip and Filet mignon. Our waiter was nice and congenial. We would go back though only on special occasions because we can't afford it.
First time at Theo's for dinner and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed our cocktails, salads, entrees and sides. Our waiter Erick was very accommodating and checked back often. Filet was cooked perfectly medium rare. Strip was a little too rare for medium rare but I think they will eventually get it right. Loved the potatoes, Brussels Sprouts and the wedge salad. Tuna appetizer was also very good. We will return. Very satisfied.
Had made a reservation celebration for our engagement but are from out of town. Was very disappointed to be put in a back corner and I even asked for a different table in a totally empty room.
From the time we were greeted by the General Manager Daniela Solis, to the time we left, it was a delightful experience. The staff provided friendly service and recommendations for food that reflected our interests and tastes. The food was fantastic and the value for what we paid was really good. They are a great addition to Cambridge's flourishing downtown.
The service still needs to be polished, but the food was excellent. The noise level in the dining room is very high due to the lack of noise baffling (a problem that the prior restaurant had). It is difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting directly opposite due to the echoing nature of the different voices in the room. Having an intimate date night is a little difficult when you have to raise your voice to be understood. Some soft surface materials on the walls or ceiling to absorb the noise would probably resolve this.
Great evening !!
Excellent food, service, best restaurant in Cambridge
