Fun restaurant with good food limited menu but everything on the menu is outstanding great service
Great service and all of the food, start to finish was outstanding.
We had an early reservation and restaurant was empty. Hostess seated us next to front door to restaurant. I asked for a different table and she was clearly not happy with my request. Very limited menu. Food was excellent but portions were extremely small. Our server was excellent and very attentive.
Food was awesome.
Ribeye was so fatty coked on it not much flavor. Scallops were great and service was good.
Don’t plan to return overall the $58 steak was subpar and not worth it at all!
Our experience at Ash was abysmal. We are long time Iron Horse patrons and have had many great experiences here. This was atrocious. We arrived for our reservation and after 10 minutes finally received the attention of the server to take our drink order. Unfortunately, that would be our last contact with anyone from the restaurant. We sat for another 40 minutes without anyone taking our food order or even offering to refresh our drinks. We eventually left, leaving cash on the table to cover our drink order since no one came by. Will not be returning anytime soon.
Room for improvement, great venue, brunch needs color.
Porterhouse was not very flavorful considering it was $70.
Checks all the boxes for a great date night out. Great service and amazing food in an intimate yet engaging environment
Great experience. Food and atmosphere was excellent.
Weekend getaway for the wife and me. Food was really good and the service was exceptional. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I highly recommend the fried brussels sprouts.
Great service and food was very good. The chicken was a bit salty but not over bearing.
The menu was simple and straightforward. Sides were sharable. Entrees were perfectly sized. Food was well-prepared and very flavorful. The restaurant atmosphere was great - loved the open flame cooking. Very good experience overall.
Trout was amazing and diverse wine list was enjoyable. Comfortable seating and overall good service.
Flat iron steak was undercooked and pretty tough. Chicken was excellent. Brussel sprouts were really too saucy but tasty. Edamame was interesting. Great flavor but greasy if that makes sense considering they were grilled. Dessert was good - some type of cake which was mostly pudding in a glass with some cake at the bottom. It was sold as "cake". We liked it though. Potatoes (side) were great but way too many. Actually the portions of edamame, potatoes and B-sprouts were way too much for two people (not complaining, just sayin). It was over $220 for two including a couple cocktails, two glasses of wine and a coffee. Fun spot for sure. Great valet out front. Super friendly hostess. Not sure if we'll rush back but it was enjoyable.
The mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts are fantastic. Big enough for two to share. We ordered a porterhouse which was good but not worth the price ($70). The other dish was scallops. Three of the came on the plate and were delicious. Overall neat place but I wouldn't visit often
Love this restaurant - it’s always fun to go to! It’s fantastic watching the open fire cooking. Everything is à la carte. If you order steak, the meal is pricey. Found my ribeye to be a little too lean and not as flavorful as it could have been. The seasoning was great but the meat itself was not marbled enough. My husband got the flat iron which was very good and had a little kick to it! The side dishes were great. Super fun delicious cocktails. Definitely recommend!
Appetizer and cocktails were amazing. Sides were delicious. Main proteins lacked seasoning.
Excellent food and Service!
All and all it was a good time. Food could have been better. The temperature, and the overall cooked chicken breast was a turn off.
Celebrated 2 anniversaries! They were so kind with 2 desserts!!! Food was delicious!
Scallops were AMAZING. Great wine selections. Our waitress was so nice and attentive. Will be back!
Birthday dinner for my wife !
She’s like us to order everything && share with our friends!
Wow- avocado 🥑 toast
- chicken olive & lemon
Wow- pork chop
Great ambiance! Packed on Saturday eve !
Make a reservation!
Party of 6 celebrating 2 birthdays. We ordered two pork chops one flat iron one trout one ribeye and one chicken dinner. My ribeye was ordered medium but came rare and needed to be sent back. The steak was tender but very underseasoned. The rest of the entrées were great. The waitress neglected to tell us that the salads and sides were meant to be shared so we had an abundance of food left over at our table.
Prices were high for what you got.
It was our anniversary and I was hoping we'd get at least a complimentary cake jar to share or something similar since we spent well over $100.00. I also did mention it was our anniversary when I made the reservation but I guess that didn't matter.
Also, not in a very good neighborhood. I was relieved to get out of there and back home.
Our waitress and everyone was attentive to our needs.
Due to the high price I would not recommend to a friend.
Everything was perfect for soul food Sunday!! From the food, to the music, to the ambiance!!
The food, drinks, service, music, and ambiance were great.
Great service and food. Must stop when you are in Milwaukee
The staff was amazing! Loved the Sunday soul session
Food was amazing. And the manger Walt was very attentive to our needs.
Best place for brunch in Milwaukee! We had the best time. Friendly staff, great food and gorgeous setting!
really good food and bottomless mimosas... the Dj was the icing on the cake! we will definitely be back
Fabulous in every way!
Mother’s Day brunch
Great service classy yet hip
Food at Ash was unique, sophisticated and delicious. Not at all contrived. We ordered several items, including the marinated chicken, the scallops, the trout, a salad with dried cranberries, pecans and apples, as well as roasted cauliflower. All were wonderful. The only time we didn’t love was the dessert which was kind of baked apple with caramel sauce. Otherwise the dinner was perfect. Would go back.
One of the coolest vibes in the city. Iron Horse is still eclectic. The open flame fire cooking flavors were delicious. Only gripe is seems a bit overpriced with everything ala carte. 3 scallops, $30. No side.
Delicious food in a very cool place!!
Menu options were limited for brunch but the food was delicious. Service was good but felt they were rushing a bit to get our orders in before the kitchen closed. Appreciated that the staff called and recommended we come in prior to our reservation because otherwise the kitchen would be closed. Need to fix the reservation system on Open table. And it is true from other reviews that certain staff did not comply with wearing face masks. Overall nice brunch.
This was Easter Sunday during the Covid pandemic. We arrived to a virtually empty restaurant which had been set for proper social distancing. Thats all fine. We ordered cocktails. Two bloody marys (uninspired) and two makers mark cocktails with just the slightest hint of liquor. The food was bland. Not much else to say.
