Great atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. The food was OK, there was plenty of choice all reasonably priced and the dishes were very large, so good value.

Glad to see this place in dog friendly. Staff were efficient and welcoming and we enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch here. Beuatiful grounds with a lake and stunningly beautiful in the Spring time. Would come again. Only disappointment for my parents was that they do not sell J2O drinks. Would be interested to know why OpenTable has the Worplesdon Place hotel listed at "Worplesden". Is this really the correct spelling?

Not busy (Thursday lunchtime) and so a bit slow on the service aspect but overall quite suitable for our needs.

Myself and my student housemates came for a Sunday Roast under the belief that the 10 pound roast offer was still existing, as the website still stated this was the case. Upon arrival it took a while to be seated which was okay, we noticed the menu looked different to usual but didn't question this. After ordering drinks we waited approximately 20 minutes to be approached to order food, to which we ordered 4 roasts. Once arrived, the food was amazing, as i have come to expect from Worplesdon Place, and really good portion sizes. Unfortunately none of our roasts correlated with what was on the menu, for example, the veg served with the beef did not match the menu description, and the chicken did not have the described seasoning. These are points we may have raised whilst dining, but were never approached to check how we were getting on. After plates being cleared and asking for the bill we proceeded to wait roughly 10 minutes for this, and were charged for extra ciders than we had ordered, as well as the roasts appearing as full price. I went to the main desk and was able to get the error drinks removed from the bill. However was at this point I was told the deal no longer existed as the pub had been purchased by a new company. We of course understand this, however the website was not updated to reflect the changes, and we booked this location for this exact deal as we are students, and don't mind a drive for the bargain! Normally love this place but was really disappointed with the quality and speed of service compared to what i'm used to here, and of course, the new prices take away from our main draw to come here.

Chaotic and poor service. Long delay in food coming out and no-one bothered to update us as to why. Many items behind the bar including lemonade (!) had simply sold out apparently. Has really gone downhill

On arrival at the bar, the bar staff reported that someone had mixed the lemonade/coke pipes and there was no mixers for drinks. Bar staff complained that they didn't understand new system very well and took ages to serve 4 drinks - use of the till and taking money took even longer. There was no wine menu and seemingly little choice of wines - first choice of wine not available. Wine suggestion by bar staff was putrid and contained pieces of cork - bar staff changed it for free. For the meal - miss-match of knives and forks and table was dirty. Had to ask for pepper and salt. Waiting staff seemed disinterested and never enquired if everything was OK. Whilst the food was reasonable it was only warm but the meal was thoroughly ruined by the Barista not 4 metres away constantly banging the coffee scoop on the bar presumably to loosen the coffee in the scoop - it was like being on a building site. We often eat and bring friends to the Worplesden Place but this was a poor experience and we will think twice before going again

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We were served quickly and the food was good. The atmosphere was pleasant and we didn't feel rushed to finish and go.

Good food only spoilt by a very slow lunchtime service which meant we didn't have time for a dessert and coffee.
