The Woollen Mills
Great spot for a tasty sit down meal. I really enjoy the atmosphere, clean and comfortable too. Staff are always welcoming.
Sunday brunch, staff very friendly, a good buzz, food was good!
Food as usual was excellent - very delicious Bhaji starter and mussels for main course. There were only two staff on the floor which led to a slight delay in paying the bill As there were many other tables in but nothing major. The rest of the service was faultless and friendly.
Very good. Food was very tasty (pumpkin hummus was excellent), and service was very kind.
Fantastic food and experience. Would highly recommend
We booked a table to dinner for the New Year's Eve and we enjoyed it. The food was good, although we couldn't taste the dessert due to the chocolate tard we ordered at the beginning was gone. It's normal since the other dessert option was pudding, hahaha (just joking). In return, they offered us a cocktail on the house. We enjoyed the dinner although there were some inconveniences like this. The staff was really nice and we spent a great time overall.
Happy New Year to everyone!
Das Essen hat nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprochen
Excellent service, very accommodating for babies and buggy’s.
Fun, cute restaurant within easy walking distance from the main Dublin attractions. Food was good, but the portions were quite large.
The food was not good ... the fish was tasteless. The potato with it was not reheated correctly, the burgers were the worst I’ve ever tasted .. starters were ok all in all bad value for money ... no chefs working in that kitchen ... my advice don’t go there
Fantastic food and drinks. Would highly recommend. I was there for brunch.
Fab atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food.
Reserved a table a month in advance for late December. Was disappointed that we were sat upstairs in their heated outdoor area which was cold. The chairs have no backs so are very uncomfortable and the tiles on the floor were so loose that every time someone walked passed, our table would wobble from the vibration. We were charged 14 euro for hummus, flatbread and vegetables. The flatbread was a wrap toasted and cut in quarters, and the 'vegetables' consisted of a few diced onions, a few salad leaves and one very small stick of carrot (the only piece of veg that was dippable). The rest of the food was great, but overall was disappointed. I had a much better experience on previous occasions when we had been seated downstairs.
Really enjoyed my lunch and the food is always of a high standard. The staff are great and always allow you to take as long as you need to choose from the menu. I love that they never rush you and you can enjoy a leisurely meal.
The staff were quite arrogant, service was mediocre, food was over priced and average at best. Hard to recommend this place when there are far better local restaurants.
Great spot for the wonderful soup and sambo combination - great ambience for meeting friends for a chat and catch up!
Service is fantastic, the staff are brilliant with kids and the food is excellent. Superb
Great atmosphere and service e at Sunday brunch
Nice table in corner area which was ideal for our party with 2 children
I recommended the Woollen Mills to my colleagues after reading some reviews and getting a recommendation from a friend of mine and was a little worried and concerned as I knew I'd never hear the end of it if the food wasn't good. Anyway, I have to say the whole experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish, the food was delicious, good wholesome food, so flavoursome with very generous portion sizes. The service was first class, all very professional but also very nice ... the lady serving our end of the table was lovely. The atmosphere was great too. I will definitely return and have already recommended it to friends and colleagues. Thanks. Also thank you, Anthony, for organising the booking.
Service was very slow but the head waitress was very helpful and gave us a discount at the end due to the slow service. The food was nice but the menu hasn’t changed in a while. Overall we had a good night.
Up there with some of the best food I have had. The standard of the woollen mills never falters.
We went for the Christmas set menu! Good options and also some good vegetarian/vegan options which was helpful. The start and mains were great but the dessert was lacking. Great atmosphere and service.
Went for early sitting at 5pm, Christmas menu was only option. I felt at €50 per person it wasnt value for money.
While I cant fault the food , it was delicious , €120 for 2 people was a bit steep to be honest.
Will avoid until after the Christmas period !!
The food was beautiful and there was lots of choice
Food was very poor. Tasteless and greasy for the mains; bacon ribs! Gluten free chocolate doughnut tasted like what I imagined candle wax would and equally as hard, one bite was enough! The peppermint tea and coffee was the best of a bad lot! Service was a bit slow; ambiance very noisy. Won’t be back!
disappointing overall - we were seated in a cold rooftop part which is converted in the winter but with draughty plastic walls, VERY uncomfortable chairs (low backs !) and loud music coming from the bar next door; the fire alarm went off continuously for 15 mins with no comment from the restaurant; my steak was rare(!) and generally the service was only ok. Overall disappointing and overpriced for what we got.
It was ok, service was a bit rushed, food (vegan burger) was just ok, they need to change chips from fat to skinny as not tasty. Good location though and nice inside.
Friendly and professional staff, had a gorgeous sandwich and my friend had the pole ya dish, which looked great and I will definitely try the next time I am in. The music wasn’t too loud which was greatly appreciated as I hate having to shout over it.
Great staff, good service, good food. Place was very lively but that was good on a Saturday night. Would go back again.
Always a wonderful experience in the woollen mills great food, exceptional staff and child friendly
Nice place, albeit a bit pricey. Comfortable seating and an open kitchen. Very decent.
Not worth it, service was good, food below average.
A returning customer, I love this place. Its one of the old reliables in an ever changing Dublin. Always a nice atmosphere, friendly & efficient staff, Irish ingredients and quality dishes. I’ll be bringing my Italian in-laws soon, I’m confident they’ll be impressed!
So it was to meet a friend over from Australia, somewhere I hadn't myself ate either. Truly a wonderful restaurant. Really enjoyed it and felt so relaxing, adding to a great time with friends and my hubby. Thanks so much 🙂
Many options, good food and nice staff. Easy to find and good location.
Big fan of the Woollen Mills - great place to meet friends for lunch and has a great variety of food on the menu especially lots of vegetarian choices which is a big bonus. I ordered the french toast which was delicious but it was quite a small portion for the amount I paid for it. Apart from that, I would definitely reccommend!
We were a group of 6 ladies who went in for dinner to celebrate the 40th Birthday for a friend. The staff were very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails they recommended were very good. The food was good overall apart from the side salad of greens that I got which was a little under cooked. The staff came out and sang "Happy Birthday" to my friend which was fun. Overall, a very positive experience. I will be coming back in the near future.
Annmarie is a gem!! We couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. Very knowledgeable, down to earth, and great sense of humour. We came here for my brother’s birthday. The food was delicious! (buffalo wings, steak, sausage & mash, ribs, mussels) The best was when the whole restaurant sang my brother happy birthday and Ann brought him his dessert with candles. Such a special/emotional moment. The manager was lovely as well, so kind, and even organised our taxi. Everyone was a pleasure. Thank you all :)
Fast and efficient service and great atmosphere.
