There were a lot of changes to the dinner compared to our previous visit. I've always loved the Sunday roast. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't up to the usual standards. We didn't get everything we asked for i had to request for the carrots when the food was brought out. These were supposed to be on two dinners. Also we had to request more gravy as there wasn't enough of the plate for us. Im sorry to say this, the last thing that really disappointed me the most was the lack of crackling with the pork and when I asked for some it was dry and bland. Definitely not the amazing crackling I've had before from this place. It's made me sad, as the staff here are lovely and they did follow up on our requests and we get on well with the couple that run this place are wonderful. I just feel some changes have been made and it's not done the place justice. Also can you please bring back chicken to the menu for Sunday roast it's so much taster than turkey. Although we do enjoy the Beef and pork we didn't get as much for the price we paid. The portion sizes have reduced significantly yet the price remains the same. I hope it will be better for future visits.

Dined here mid week and everything was exceptional, prompt service staff very friendly the meals were delicious and not over priced it’s been some years since we last came here and it’s changed for me better will definitely be returning again to try the Sunday dinner

We had a really good meal. Limited menu but the food was fresh and served hot. I had sirloin steak and I can honestly say it’s one of the best I have had in years. Tender and tasty. Excellent. It’s such a shame that the pub was fairly empty on a Friday evening. They had very few staff on but the ones that were there were very good.

Another fabulous evening at The Woodside. Booked my favourite round table to catch up with two friends. We had a lovely meal and the service was excellent.

Brilliant, kind and efficient service; dog friendly with water and treats provided; very generous meat slices on roast dinner with wide variety of vegetables all well cooked; complimentary mints at the end of the meal. Thank you Woodside Team

We ate here for Mother’s Day and were so impressed with the service and value for money! When lots of restaurants are overcharging for sub-par set menus, the Woodside provided a great Sunday menu. Amy accommodated our late additions to the booking and was so kind and attentive. We will be back!

A lovely restaurant with great service and a promotion on the pies we had for lunch. My mum would have appreciated the heating being on and both of us could have done with more light.

When sunday lunch arrived at the table it looked delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was out of this world! Veg was cold and meat tough and over cooked. There were several diners asking for steak knifes to cut it.
