The Woods at Big White Ski Resort
Our reservations start from 5pm.
A casual and very pleasant experience
The ambience and service are excellent and the food is good overall. Must try the gnocchi prawn dish.
The servers were friendly especially to six year old granddaughter. The kids menu was ideal. Too much salt on French fries.
Make sure you try the cheese fondue, we had three people share it as an entree just perfect
The date appetizer and gnocchi were fabulous
Great food! Good quantities and value. Loved the bacon-wrapped dates and pulled pork tacos. Would recommend!
Very nice. We enjoyed the cheese fondue. Good service.
Booked last minute as key down by another restaurant. Welcomed, and no issue changing meat and cheese board to just meat to go with fondue . Great service
Service food and wine was fabulous. Wine was a tad slow on the refill but I think that’s because they were short on glasses so not really a service issue. Loved the Date Night dinner. Was a great thing to do with my girlfriend who came to see me on my family ski trip.
Our servers were funny, friendly and delightful!
Our server Annie was delightful and attentive. We had the fondue which was fantastic and two cocktails - The Playground and the Dragon's Tongue and they were both delicious! Will definitely recommend!
our server was fantastic. The only issue we had is we had two small children and asked if we could sit at a low table and not the high table. We were told there was not a low table available that is was reserved. The youngest fell off his chair in the middle of dinner and fortunately he was not hurt, but it would have been safer if we were at the lower table, just saying.

We had a lovely evening at The Woods- our first time there. Food was great. Our server Annie was really helpful.
Location is amazing. Like all restaurants in Big White, keeping it simple would be more effective than fancy. Why not steak and frites? We generally find the food in BW not extraordinary.
Beautiful food and great service!!
Our group of four shared a couple of appetizers. The dates stuffed with Gorgonzola were delicious. And the Caesar salad was also very good. My squash ravioli with shrimp was good but the sauce was very rich and very generous. My partner enjoyed his burger. My friend felt that she could do a better job of the moroccan chicken stew. Our server was delightful and very personable.
Food was great. We shared the Chilli Spiced Cauliflower as a starter, which was good but not that spicy which suited us. We both had the Butternut Ravioli, again very good. Portion sizes were also generous. Our waitress was delightful, really friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again if in Big White.
We were looking forward to our return to The Woods. Unfortunately two mains, catch of the day, pork chop as well as calamari were sold out. Friday night? The cauliflower and cheese appetizer was decent as well as mixed green salad, adequate. Moroccan chicken and pumpkin stew, short ribs portions were generous but
The delay between appetizers and mains resulted in tepid food for the most part. We took most of our mains home. Our server did compensate us for the delay. Hopefully this was an off night.
Went on the recommendation of a local. We had no problems with our reservation, an excellent server and all three meals were delicious.
We had a wonderful view of the clock tower and the snowy outdoors.it was cozy and warm inside.
I loved the short ribs and large salad( full of all kinds of veg is and nuts etc) ... two adults and we shared both dishes . It was delicious and plentiful.
They offered a Syreh from Church and State that was a feature wine . It was valued at $35 on Vivino , yet they only charged us $55! Typically a restaurant charges double the price of the actual value due to corking fees etc., so we were impressed with that as well.
Highly recommend dining here 👍
Cheese fondue is amazing.
Burgers were delicious.
Best food on the hill. Staff is great.
Great food, loud due to large group next to us, they were having fun just difficult to hold a conversation. Price for a glass of wine was a bit much but overall a great evening.
Get together with family.
Unfortunately, the soba noodles were a pile of mush. I think my dinner companions enjoyed their short rib dinners. The wine was lovely and the service was excellent.
Very enjoyable get together with friends. Good service and very tasty food. We look forward to our next opportunity to share another meal at The Woods.
Food was great enjoyable evening was dining alone and did not find it uncomfortable itting by myself
Service was wonderful, window seat with moonlight beautiful and so easy to access in village
The ambiance is very cozy and the noise is low enough to have a conversation without strain. We all enjoyed our meals and the presentation was great. I would definitely recommend it to visitors of Big White.
Our server was accommodating in helping us celebrate our friends recent engagement (and birthday). Food was a bit on the salty side.
Appetizers were good and the main was fine but the beef in all of our stir fry’s (we all ordered the stir fry) wasn’t cooked. We all like medium rare but this beef just wasn’t cooked enough.
Lovely ambience, outstanding service and good meal. The appetizers, crispy cauliflower and Cure Board and Dessert Tiramisu cheese cake were Outstanding.
Great food and service!
Had a great time with friends and family. Eve had a visit from the Grinch Dec 24
Vegetarian options are very poor. It would be great to have a decent veggie burger on the menu. The stir fry that we substituted tofu for beef (and paying extra for tofu?!!) had far too much sauce so wasn’t very nice and the kids’ spaghetti Alfredo was really stodgy and tasteless i’m afraid.
Excellent time sitting at the bar at the Woods ! Fantastic après-ski, lunch or dinner spot !
