   We didn’t eat as the pub doesn’t serve food in the evenings. Simon and his staff were as always very welcoming and efficient. The Vixen ale was superb and my wife enjoyed the white wine spritzer. We sat in n the patio area and the location gave a us a continental feel.

   Fantastic authentic pub in superb Leicestershire village, a gem in a unique setting. Staff and owners are very friendly, The food is homely, served at lunch time only and is prepared and presented to a very good standard. The whole experience inside or out is quality, dogs are allowed outside with good parking facilities.

   Fabulous local pub Unfortunately didn’t have food as they don’t serve in evenings but can recommend lunch, great local and fresh ingredients superb

   Booked online - no problem Arrived and shown to most suitable table for three plus a pram. Drinks service quick also food which is some of the best around our village. We vowed to make it a regular date Thanks to all concerned

   So lovely to be back at the Woodies for our monday evening get together with friends. Thanks Simon for the new spot lights makes it great for Pete and Brian to do their crosswords.
