   Overall the meal was very good. The coconut shrimp however, were too heavily battered and overdone so they were dry and relatively tasteless without the dipping sauce. It is unfortunate that the Woodlawn has been sold and the restaurant will close October 26th. We wish all the staff good luck in the future.

   1st time at this lovely restaurant, it was my birthday. It was nice to celebrate with only a few additions. (masks) LOL My friends and I had a lovely time. I hear the restaurant is closing. :( too bad I would have loved to go back.

   We had a lovely dinner. it was delicious and service as always was perfect. it was great to dine out during this pandemic and not worry about anything. all protocols were respected and we felt no worries. we have one more visit before it is sold.

   I have always had a perfect dining experience at the Woodlawn for the 20 years I have patronized the restaurant. With it closure this month, I encourage all the friends of the Woodlawn to have one last meal to thank Steven and his team.

   We have been going to The Woodlawn for over 25 years. Has always been one of our favourite places to eat and to stay. We wish Stephen Dellacasa all the best in his future endeavours. He will be missed

   I had a lovely dining experience with my friend but it was what I expected from Woodlawn. Beautiful environment, delicious food, and amazing service. I will miss this place!

   The Woodland inn has been sold. Unfortunately, they might have had a good reputation, but as of now, they have decided to let go of anything that is close to good service, dining atmosphere and well prepared food. We looked at a torn apart table covering during our whole dinner. The dining room lights were at full blast, no dining music. Covid was blamed for that. No such rule on the Ontario government web site. So we would suggest to go somewhere else for dinner. We had doubts when we sat down at our table. We should have simply gone elsewhere for diner.

    My dinner was burnt. I asked our waitress "What was the chief thinking - sending out a burnt dinner? Was he hoping we wouldn't say anything?" It would have been better if he accepted his error, said there was an issue in the kitchen and our dinner would be a little late. Instead he sent it out and hoped we wouldn't say anything. Our waitress offered to replace my dinner. I said, if we were to do that, my wife would eat her dinner by herself and then when my second dinner arrived I would also eat my dinner by myself. She assured me that it would only be a few minutes - that someone else had ordered the same thing and I could have that meal. I said okay. Instead of arriving in a few minutes, it arrived 10 minutes later; after my wife had finished her meal. The meal came with carrots, potatoes and brussel sprouts. All of which were simply boiled. No spices, no sauce. We had to ask for salt and pepper. My wifes meal was over cooked to the point of being dry, but she ate it anyway. They deducted the cost of my meal off the bill. A routing gesture for this situation. We went there to have a nice meal to celebrate our 47th anniversary. Instead, if it wasn't the worst meal we've ever had, I can remember it. I'd say we'll never go back there again, but we were told the business was sold and would not return as an inn/restaurant in October 2020. If it were up to me, I would not have left a tip; however, my wife felt we should leave something for the waitress as the horrible meal was not her fault.
