Excellent meal and great service. We tried a number of items on the menu - dumplings, chicken wings, dol set bi him bop. food was great
This restaurant has a great atmosphere, the food is delicious and the service was excellent! A really fun place!
The service was friendly, professional, and our server went above and beyond. We had the barbecue and it was delicious.
Good value lunch. Service good too. I'm not that keen on Korean food though so probably not the best reviewer
Was recomended to try by a friend I metup with in NY. Was really good, great cocktails, we tried most of the barbeque meats, the Bulgogi prime rib was spectacular. Thanks guys
As always, the food was excellent as was the service. I hosted three people who had never been to the restaurant. they all loved it and plan to return!
Service was terrible - nonexistent - had to chase down servers and hostess to get any attention. Couldn't get 2nd drink dessert, the bill.
Perfectly pleasant with great service and very good bbq. Not as fancy as price point suggests - but nice for a casual evening.
This is one of my fav orbited. Food always fresh and delicious. Service is great. Crowd is diverse . Perfect every time.
Good presentation Good food
A disappointing experience. The food was ok, ambiance was non existent. Note to restaurant, if you have tables of 6 or more, make sure to ask the table whether they want to add one or more pieces to the 5 piece serving size. Silly giving one piece less than the number of people on the table for each course.
We brought a cake and initially they said it’s $5 per person to have it in the restaurant. When we were about to pay though they said don’t worry about it. I thought it was too steep but we didn’t care bec we were already there and have the cake. I guess just make sure to check in with them first!
Otherwise, the food is very good and the ambience is calmer compared to ktown!
Excellent food but air conditioning was lacking and it was 90 degrees and humid today. That coupled with spicy Korean food was not a great combo! But otherwise it was awesome.
It was my first time here with my family and we loved it. It is a beautiful restaurant, good service and great food!
Great food, amazing service, loved the vibe there
Everything was great, except for the prices. It’s expensive, but it’s New York. Although, hands down THIS IS, the best Asian food I have ever had.
My wife and friend absolutely loved the place and the food. And they are both picky eaters. Just because of that, I am coming again.
Incredible food and service. Our waitress Daria was amazing! She gave us the best recommendations on food and wine. Will definitely be coming back!
Service is spectacular! Very modern looking restaurant. Food presentation is beautiful and surprisingly filling!
We went to eat at The Woo for lunch during "Restaurant Week" . What a welcoming surprise to be offered so many choices, and the quality of the food outstanding. We also enjoyed the simple but modern space and the lovely stone chinaware. My only suggestion was to find a better playlist and lower the sound. This restaurant does not need to turn up the sound evoke a welcoming atmosphere.
Loved this place
Food and service was amazing
Our server Danny was amazing!!
La comida súper buena, el servicio es muy amable , los camareros siempre tratan de ayudarte . Sin embargo para mi sería mucho mejor que alguien sea que te cocine .
So good that we went again and plan to go back. Lots of fun here, good food, great service, very good ambiance.
Came here to try the Kal Bi Jim. I’m used to short ribs with some marbling, that has been stewed for hours. This was more like a slab of lean roast beef topped with a sauce that was made separately. Also, the vegetables were just steamed and placed in the dish, versus cooked in the sauce. Not what I was looking for at all.
Went for my wife’s b-day. Fantastic! Food, service, all if it! Just great! Terrific restaurant week menu also.
Food was great, but the service was awful. Waiters kept trying to take our plates before we were even half way done with our food. Restaurant wasn't even close to closing time. At one point our waitress tried to take one of our not finished plates and stuck her entire ponytail in another one of our not finished plates in the process. Decor is beautiful, food is fantastic, but if the service doesn't improve this place is toast.
Restaurant week - great ambiance and food!
One of the best bulgogis I’ve tried! I went on restaurant week, happy with the portions as well.
Food was passable at best. Bland Korean. We were the only customers. Bulgogi was too thick/chewy. Bibimbop lacked variety in vegetables. Kimchi was off. Jigae was OK. Jap chae had inauthentic vegetables. No draft beer. Woo (Lae Oak) is a brand year in decline.
Love this place manny is amazing! Food was sooo good!
The Woo is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Having lived in Korea before, I love the food and the culture. The Woo brings all the authentic flavors and adds unique and delicious twists to classic dishes. The bbq is amazing with the freshest cuts of beef and seafood. The dishes and soups and desserts all should be enjoyed....everything is worth ordering.
This restaurant is a must! Be ready to be wowed. The management and service is top notch. Finally make sure to get the lychee martini- best in the world!
It was a nice meal
We used to live Woo La Oak and were so sad to see it close. Have been limping along at Bann since then when we travel to the city. So happy to see The Woo back in SoHo and ate there twice (one lunch and one dinner) on this trip. It did not disappoint! Same great food of WLO and Bann but much closer to the more intimate and eclectic vive if the old WLO. Will definitely return.
Tuna tartar and steam buns are incredible and memorable
It’s good to have the Woo back in Soho, previously Woo Lae Oak. I used to eat there 20 years back, it still has the classic taste. Portions are big. Quality remains good.
Mixed impressions. We were seated next to an incredibly loud and annoying group but strangely after they left the place was dead. No atmosphere at all. The food is excellent though and the service pretty good.
The service was very bad, the music was out of service and the plate is poor serve
I wont return to these place.
The only goof point was the location,
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our $25 pre-fix lunch. We might have chosen everything if able too; everything was appealing [so was the regular menu]. Service was great. We shared noodles with vegetables and short rib dumplings. My black cod and my wife's short ribs were excellent. We definitely will return for the regular menu.
