   Wonderful Sunday lunch for family and friends. We were lucky enough to get one of the limited tables on a Sunday and I’m glad we did. Portions were very generous, and the meats were succulent and perfectly cooked. Service was also excellent and bought out in a timely manner. We’ll do e to T and the whole kitchen team for a delicious Sunday feast!

   Was not impressed at all to have booked in to have a sit down restaurant meal with a friend who I hadn't seen in a long time to be told on arrival it was a pop up bbq and to sit in the bar area which was extremely noisy and not what I have booked in for so left and managed to find somewhere else to eat.

   Was very disappointed with our first visit it was clear it was not staffed and arrived 1.45pm for meal and taken 40 minutes for our starters the mushrooms in cream sauce the sauce was missing and had 5 mushrooms on which had been cut up to I think make more mushrooms then waiting a further 45 mins for our main course while other people had received there meals was not acceptable When the meals arrived they were on cold plates and it was not very warm the gravy was over seasoned and when asked how the meal was told them the gravy was very spicy 🌶 and according to the waitress the chef had added chilli to it which was terrible as we had told them my mother can not have spice ?.? Was very disappointed lacking experience which management and staff

   Steaks were ordered medium rare. They arrived well done. Food arrived with no cutlery, we waited about 5 more minutes for that after asking twice. We then waited a further 7 minutes, after 3 requests, for onion rings to arrive. The peppercorn sauce was also very thin and runny as if watered down too much. We were then charged £13.50 for a drink item that was not ours. This then took several minutes to rectify at the only till operating. So, whilst we enjoyed the atmosphere and eating outside it was not a good dining experience at all. We chose not to make any comments at the table as the waitress seemed about 14/15 years old and very shy. It will certainly make us consider, more carefully, whether or not to dine again at the w&s although we do enjoy regular drinks there.

   A very nice meal, hot and well served by polite and friendly staff. A typical village pub, courtyard and gardens, with all the warmth and character that that implies. The pub itself is nicely decorated and progressively being refurbished. OpenTable's systems use an American date format of Month, Day, Year; so their date confirmation text message can cause confusion if your 'day' is for before the 13th of the month! A lovely meal and will certainly go again!

   A disappointing Father's Day visit having heard good things about this pub. The children were given tasteless carrots with their meals of burger/nuggets and chips (no other veg except carrots...not even peas or beans offered). We had a long wait for food (apparently they were busy yet most of the indoor covers were empty). When the food did arrive my husband's food was cold so was sent back. Other elements of the roast were dry/overcooked. A table which arrived after us had ordered and eaten their desserts before we had even seen a puds menu = impatient children! The water glasses had to be changed as they had lipstick remnants on them (we were told the glass washer wasn't very good....) so check them before giving to paying guests maybe?? They also had no sparkling water. All in all we were hoping for an enjoyable lunch out but in the end couldn't wait to leave after a lunch that took approx 3 hours!! Sorry but we won't be going back, not for food anyway!

   Thank you for the helpful feedback – to put your comments in perspective: + The childrens menu has carrots, which are boiled (most kids like them plain). It also has peas. + The restaurant was quiet but the kitchen was busy (a table of 18 in our barn). + One dish wasn't piping hot – it was quickly replaced. + The glasswasher doesn't remove lipstick – that's done by hand and should be checked. + Sparkling water in the store was overlooked. Thank you for caring. And do return – on a quieter day?

   Loved everything about this place, the food was stunning, and very good portions too, perfect service, will def visit again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   We turned up at midday. Turned out the main menu which I looked at (which didn't have dining times on it) was only available in the evening. Lunch menu is not really comprehensive enough. Only thing on the lunch menu for me was sausage and mash - only 2 over cooked sausages! Other guests enjoyed their meals though. Service was very good. Should be made clear on the website which menu available at which times!!

   Sunday lunch experience was mixed,starter and dessert were excellent, main course Roast Lamb with an abundance of vegetables. Meat was disappointing, only two small slices and lost within the mountain of vegetables. We appreciate the challenge to create a profitable business however this has to balanced against the reasonable expectation of the customer.

    A relaxing evening in a village pub; great ambience, lovely food, exceptional service from our waitress and a superb place to catch up with friends.
