   Thoroughly welcoming, great atmosphere. Excellent range of gins - our favourite tipple. Excellent choice of wines. The menu provided a really good choice, but most of all the presentation was excellent, the flavours outstanding and the food was probably the best we have experienced for some time. We cannot praise highly enough.

   The food and service was very good they went out of their way to make sure our dietary requirements were met. The portions were perfect. The sticky toffee pudding with marmalade was delicious. We will certainly be going back.

   Great community pub, food quality excellent, way more than your average Local pub. Well worth a visit. Fabulous in every way! Last night we visited again to take advantage of the government eat out scheme. Menus was back on full song and everyone commented on the great food delivered.

   We were very lucky to find the Winterbourne; at short notice we were looking for a place for lunch on New Years Day to meet some friends for a walk with their dogs. Luckily I checked and found the Winterbourne is on Open Table and had a lunch time slot available. I knew there were lovely walks in the vicinity so it all came together nicely. Not only were we rewarded with a lovely walk in gorgeous countryside with friends but we were then treated to a lovely lunch - just before they close for a week following the festive period. Great, hearty food cooked beautifully (I had Skate Wing followed by a tremendous Sticky Toffee Pudding), a smashing ambience (it got really busy as lunch went on) with much conversation and laughter. Service was really friendly which was great considering they were near the end of a busy festive period. All, in all, it was a gloriously relaxed and comfortable way to while away the hours over a lovely New Years Day lunch with friends.

   Having had a dreadful experience at another restaurant on Christmas we returned to this great community run pub which has fantastic food prepared by a really talented chef at very reasonable prices! A really good Boxing Day lunch in a friendly relaxed place We will definitely return soon!
