    Join us at the Refuge in the Winter Garden for Afternoon Tea. With a selection of savoury treats, including a mild and salty Cheddar cheese custard with flatbread crisp, baby carrots, radishes; a fresh Oak-smoked salmon with beetroot chutney, labneh, pumpernickel; and a punchy Pork and kimchi sausage roll. Continue the afternoon tea journey with buttery and soft Date and sour cherry scones, accompanied with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. And to follow, a trio of sweet tiers; from a classic with a twist, Fig Battenberg, to a delectable Passion fruit and white chocolate opera cake, a show-stopping Spiced carrot cake with cardamom and rose petal, a delicate Yoghurt, honey and tahini choux bun, and a rich Black Forest gateaux

    We sat at the table and waited for 25 minutes before we got up and walked out. No one came over to greet us, a table next to us also walked out after sitting there for 40 minutes and not receiving any acknowledgement

    The afternoon tea was a bit disappointing. There was too much emphasis on the cakes and not enough savoury items. The waiters were a bit hit and miss with their attention.

    Absolutely lovely afternoon tea. The good was delicious and beautiful. The setting was lovely and relaxing and the service was perfect - friendly and relaxed. We loved it!

    Booked tea for two which was lovely, infact everything was perfect. It's not a criticism, just a suggestion really, maybe give people a choice of teas such as a sandwich selection and the choice of cakes, as I did find the tea on offer more sweet than savoury?

    The afternoon tea was delicious and very filling. We came home with a doggy bag. The Service was a bit slow but staff were attentive to our dietary needs and made changes to the menu accordingly. However when we were offered a refill of tea having been there over an hour and a half we were just offered hot water rather than a fresh pot. We were then charged for a fresh pot at £2.50 each which we felt was very mean given the afternoon tea was £29.50 each and we'd also treated ourselves to a bottle of bubbly.

    Lovely Art Deco surroundings, helpful, staff. Interesting mix of small plate foods- tasty and delicious lunch to meet up with friend post lockdown.

    Really great service- we were a bit late for our table and they held it for us. Chatty and friendly bar staff, security and waiters and beautiful interiors. Drinks were great too.

    The service was poor... We were forgotten about for menus, drinks and then for our food too... Just felt like we were an inconvenience because we weren't in the main restaurant... Shame really because when we came on the Monday the week before we had great service.
