The big issues with the food was that half of the my order of mussels hadn’t opened. Appreciated that after I complained, they brought a second order and only charged us for one, but the first shouldn’t have left the kitchen in the first place. But the mussels were tasty. And my wife liked the brie and pear flatbread and the pimento cheese Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, The wines he chose for our flights were very good and complemented our food nicely.

Josh was great. We came for my moms birthday and he did a great job helping us make good selections. We also got food which was delicious. We came on Halloween so we were the only table in the restaurant. Very quiet and the staff were very friendly

We started with a sparking wine tasting with the always brilliant Jenna and flowed up with more wine and a fabulous meal. Jenna, Amber and Josh were all fabulous. WW keeps upping their game with new food and beverage choices that never disappoint. Every sip and every bite was divine. Such a great addition to the food and wine scene in Richmond.

Love everything about this gem of a restaurant/wine bar. Their seasonal menu offers delicious bites that could be different offerings each time you go. The staff and owners are equally as knowledgeable about the wine offerings and provide suggestions that align perfectly with your taste. Beautiful setting, amazing food, outstanding wine...what else could you ask for!

Enjoyed a beautiful rainy evening in cozy, comfy comfort. Next time it's bad weather outside, go out anyway and grab a spot at the bar (or dining room table). We bellied up and discovered through a flight a wine we loved so much we ordered a glass and left with a bottle. It tasted waaaay above its price point. Outstanding Napa for only $45. You can buy bottles for less - lots of selection - I’m just pointing out we were sure we were drinking $70 and were pleasantly surprised to discover we weren’t. Made the night all the more delicious. Go for a good time. Go for amazing food and service. Go to discover a new favorite producer you can bring home to your cellar. This place is wine research + cellar building GOLD.

We just did tapas offerings. All the food was outstanding. Great fun with wine flight. Everyone constantly checking on you and taking the time to explain everything and answer questions. Well worth it.

Our first visit to the Wine Whisperer was amazing. We ordered the wine flights picked by our waiter, Josh, and the selections were great! The baked brie was to die for and the pasta bake was outstanding. Josh was full of information and a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend the Wine Whisperer and will definitely be visiting again.

I was expecting more of a lounge feel, but it felt more like a cafeteria or bar. Was disappointed with the limited selections of wines, the inability to buy the wines we tasted, and the flight options were very limited. Service was pretty good and the wine attendant was very friendly, and very good. Not sure I would go back for the price, but it was certainly not offensive.

Fantastic!I am the wine drinker, and my husband is bourbon. We both enjoyed our tastings that were picked by our server the food and the ambience was amazing as well. It was a perfect anniversary dinner for us.

WOW. I just sat for a 6-course, 12-wine pairing of Pacific Northwest cuisine and wine regions. Food courses highlighted cuisine from the city, sea, river, forest, field, and valley with 12 incredible wine tastings including Quilceda Creek Cab Sauv ($300/bottle). Mind officially blown. Head to the Wine Whisperer website and check out their Events page. I also attended a course on Spanish wine last month and a March 5-course wine event with a rep from “New World Winery of the Year” Zuccardi (Valle de Uco). On second thought, DON’T check out the Events page. I don't want you to take my seat!There just aren't enough stars for this place.

Absolutely love the Wine Whisperer. Fabulous atmosphere, great staff who know a lot about wine. The one downside is vegetarian options are limited and really nothing vegan. Would love it even more if they added vegetarian and vegan options.

The wine was great and the food was great as well. However, the best part of our dining experience was the staff who were incredibly knowledgeable about wine and took a significant amount of time to explain all about the wines that we could choose from. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend the Wine Whisperer for all wine enthusiasts.
