The Wine Kitchen on the Creek Ratings and Reviews
The food was overpriced but decent tasting, or we were just that hungry. What was most upsetting is that they nickel and dime you on the drinks. We had three vodka sodas and they charged $1.00 per drink for the splash of soda water!!! A martini was $14! News flash - it's Frederick MD, not New York City!
Not sure but they probably charged us for the ketchup and use of napkins! Ridiculous! Will NEVER go back and would not recommend.
What a wonderful experience! This is the second time I've dined at The Wine Kitchen and once again I've left impressed. On our open table reservation I put that a guest had celiac and we were celebrating her birthday. Then once we got to the restaurant the waiter noted the gluten free items and said happy birthday when we sat down! Little things like that make all the difference. Food was perfect, drinks were great, and service was amazing. If you're reading this, go to the wine kitchen!
Went to restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Was warmly welcomed upon arrival. On our table was a card from the restaurant congratulating us on our anniversary. The assistant manager brought us two drinks on the house. Nice touch and much appreciated. The meal was outstanding, everything came out hot and perfectly prepared. Absolutely going to go back!
Fantastic experience. Exe Chef visited our table and point out some unique abilities of the restaurant. We got a great discount on a bottle of wine to take home that we were able to try with our dinner. Food was exceptional and we love exploring every course.
I have added the The Wine kitchen on the Creek to my short list of great restaurants I have tried.
The Wine Kitchen never disappoints. Our wonderful waiter Shane took very good care of our table for four. We were seated right away (did make an early reservation) and served in a timely fashion. Everyone was in agreement that the wine flights, food, and dessert were perfect. We'll be back.
Another lovely evening at The Wine Kitchen. The food is not only delicious, creative, fresh and interesting; it actually transports you. The Duck Breast was done differently this time (various dishes do change seasonally) but always great. The Beet Salad, a stellar performance.
I have some dietary restrictions currently and our server was super easy to work with as was the chef in creating a delicious brunch meal that I could enjoy! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals and the ambiance of the restaurant. The menu was great and there was a variety of options to chose from so it was difficult for him to make a decision. We'll return next time we're in Frederick!
I love the wine kitchen! Triple Bubble champagne flight and cheese and charcuterie are the way to go!! Very innovative parsnip "pate" with white chocolate "fat layer". Sounds funny? Well it's delicious! Goose liver pate is spot on, and all the condiments that go with the cheeses are surprisingly good fits. Service is always prompt and pleasant and you can even buy the wines/bubblies if you like them in bottles before you leave for 10% off. What's not to like?
We had a great time, just a friend and I getting away from the kids and having some time to ourselves. I always prefer a dimmer light with red wine, but the lighting was unique and lots of people like it brighter. Otherwise wine was fantastic and so was the food and service!
A very enjoyable meal from start to finish. Great food, particularly the cheese/charcuterie appetizer and halibut, and even better service. I tried the s'more dessert which has dots of "campfire gel" on the plate. The campfire gel is a smoky flavor that overwhelms the entire dish. I'd suggest skipping it, unless you really, really like the flavor of smoke.
Our server was so attentive to small details that make it a pleasure to be served: she refolded my napkin while I was at the restroom so that it was easier to put on my lap when I returned. I made lunch reservations here specifically so I could try the wild boar I enjoyed for years in Asia without realizing the boat entree was on the dinner menu, not the lunch menu. Nonetheless, the chef graciously made the meal for me, and it was a combination of complimentary flavors and enough volume to satisfy my hearty appetite. I was so thrilled I tried dessert too, and was treated to a beautiful tiramisu with a distinctive garnishes and a soil I really enjoyed. A fabulous restaurant!
My wife and I were celebrating a wedding anniversary which was noted on our reservation. The staff remembered it well, and we arrived to a hand written congratulatory note and complimentary glass of Cava. Highly classy. The service, food, and wine program are all first rate. Our main courses of Wagyu beef and Glazed Short ribs were cooked to perfection. There are plenty of excellent wine options and our server was helpful in our selection. Kudos to the team at this eatery for delivering a memorable evening and special celebration. We will certainly return again soon.
My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and were so surprised and pleased that they gave us a champagne toast! When they found out my husband doesn't drink, they let me have his champagne (score!) and they brought him sparkling pomegranate, which I thought was a lovely gesture. The food was fabulous ( I could have eaten a whole entree of the pappardelle appetizer) and the desserts were almost too beautiful to eat. We had great service from our waiter and a lovely evening all in all!
