The Wine Kitchen on the Creek Ratings and Reviews
Decided on this restaurant based on friends commenting on the plethora of vegetarian options... Not so. Now, the menu could have been a special menu due to the holiday... But vegetarian spouses still want to be taken out for special occasions /holidays. One vegetarian entree... I stopped counting carnivore meals after I hit 20 options. Food however was excellent.
Service by the waitstaff was below average if you expect exceptional service for high dollar /high end cuisine. I do. Especially when you've paid over $70/person...that's not including tip. For about the same price per person, go to Founding Farmers. Exceptional service, food, and a nice relaxed ambience.
We love going to Wine Kitchen... we've been a few times now from dates to just meeting up with friends. Unfortunately, our waitress just didn't do it for us. She was rude and very pushy. It just brought down the whole experience. Not sure if we'll be back for a while after this.
Not too big or too small of a restaurant; just right. Vast selection of wines. The wine flights are really great. Also, I finally found a bourbon cocktail I liked and they call it “Ol’ Smokey”. Yum. Very popular location. We saw many “walk-ins” walk away because the placed was booked full. We were surprised at the noise level. I wouldn’t call it romantic because it was way too noisy and crowded. The food was very good and the selections were reasonable; not too many or too few choices. We will definitely return. We want to check it out during a non-holiday occasion.
This is our favorite restaurant for Sunday brunch, since it’s a good distance from where we live we generally don’t go during the week. This past Sunday, the chef’s creativity really showed with his quiche creation. My wife thought she had tasted it all but he whipped up a Super Bowl inspired nacho quiche..... unbelievably good! Their quiche is probably the best we’ve tasted, anywhere. I had my usual Cobb Salad, Tuna Tartar Tacos and then added the Steak and Eggs. The first two are my staples then I usually mix up the entree. We would highly recommend Wine Kitchen on the Creek, you can’t go wrong with the food, the staff and the wine selection or the bar.,.. great place
Lovely as always. Not a huge selection but everything offered is yummy sounding so hard to choose and nice to not have too many choices. Everything each of was beautifully prepared, well presented and had wonderful flavor. Wine offerings are always nice. A great Sangria. unique cocktails.
My favorite restaurant in Frederick!! Quality ingredients, amazing execution, attentive and friendly staff. Everything I've had has been incredible BUT THAT DINNER BURGER !!! Has to be the best burger in America.
If I had to choose my last meal on this earth, it would be that damn burger!
Thank you for the great service and accommodating our party. We had the best time celebrating my sisters birthday and we will definitely be back! The food was very delicious everyone in our party (11 of us) were raving of how delicious the food was after the meal was complete.
Came here for DC restaurant week on a Friday early evening. We all ordered the 3 course option. Everyone totally enjoyed every course and their flights of wine. Our wait staff was helpful and they served each course at a nice pace -not rushing us out. It was a great night out for the ladies.
We enjoyed our dinner at Wine Kitchen overall. The appetizer was quite amazing but ordered the 3 types of steak main dish and it was disappointing. Had to send one of the steaks back as we ordered it medium rare and it came out rare. Even after they cooked it more it was borderline medium rare. And two of the three steaks were quite fatty. I guess we expected them to be better, but it depends on the cut to some extent. Also, the cauliflower side dish we ordered was quite salty. But the waiter was amazing and the timing was great. We probably will not order steaks there in the future, but I'm sure there are lots of other dishes to try that are great.
Three of us went at 6 pm on a Sat night. to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was full and the noise level made it hard to maintain a conversation. Our server Cat was great and friendly. We ordered Venison Ossu Bucco, Steak special and duck breast. The duck breast and Ossu Bucco were prefect and the steak was cooked as requested but the overwhelming taste was salt. Overall it was a good experience.
We dined in for our first visit to celebrate my friends 40th birthday. The table was situated right in the front window with a view which made the experience all the more special. The menu had so many delicious sounding options it was very hard to decide what to have. We both had the lobster and greatly enjoyed it, and we saw other patrons with the steaks that were our second choices and we agreed that we needed to return soon to try other menu selections. The sides/starters that we chose were the mixed olives and the fried green tomatoes (a first for me) both were enjoyable. We selected the special dessert sorbet with meringues & fresh berries and the tiramisu, both were amazing. We loved the ambiance, services was impeccable and we cannot wait to return.
