As always, a successful date night with amazing food and service!
Great charcuterie and cheese. The steak salad had some great ingredients but was still missing something - perhaps a mustard dressing rather than a classic vinegarette.
The service was amazing and the food was spectacular. I love to taste things with a unique flavor. The duck delivered.
Food portions were odd: huge slice of quiche, very small serving of shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. I thought the wine pour was also on the small side but that may just be what you’re used to in Central PA where we live. Service was lovely. Tables were close but not crowded. It was busy but not noisy. I’d recommend.
Met my mom here for Sunday Brunch. The servers were AMAZING. We felt very special even though the restaurant was packed and busy. Had a delicious 3-item brunch: cornmeal pancakes (TO DIE FOR), chicken/sundried tomato/goat cheese quiche with a salad and apple cake with chamomile ice cream for dessert. It was way too much food but so delicious. I think next time I would try to S'more dessert instead of the apple cake (if only to try the "campfire gel," what?!). We will be returning.
Great dinner and attentive servers
The Wine Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants. This visit was during Frederick Restaurant week and we took advantage of the offer of an appetizer, entree and dessert at a set price. The food was terrific. The beet salad can't be beat. My husband enjoyed his salmon entree and my chicken was amazing. However, the best part for me was dessert. My dessert (the pavlova with blackberry sorbet) was incredible. My husband ordered the apple cake with chamomile ice cream -- also fantastic. Even though the restaurant was packed, the wait team did a great job and the restaurant accommodated a special request we made regarding seating. Top notch!
We been to many high end restaurants ( sage in los Vegas for example) - it is as good or ... better!
We tried it for restaurant week and the food was divine. We were sat right next to another couple even though seating could have been staggered so it was needlessly awkward. We loved the food though and will try again.
WK will always be my favorite restaurant DTF. We moved almost two years ago and we still drive the hour to eat here whenever we get the chance! Food is amazing, staff is amazing, I always leave with both my stomach and my heart full ❤️
Food was outstanding and the service was great.
Great place for a much needed date night. Food was amazing, wine was amazing, and we will be back to try the scotch flights.
Very elegant restaurant with excellent food and service. Good portion size, good wine selection.
Visited the Wine Kitchen with out-of-town relatives. It was Restaurant Week and the lunch was a great value. There were many interesting and delicious choices. Service was excellent and the ambiance great. We had a great time and will return.
Excellent food. Excellent vibe. Great service. We loved loved loved our lunch at Wine Kitchen.
Fun, good food, and loud but interesting atmosphere.
Great food , ambiance !
For the last 2 years we have celebrated our Anniversary here!! Great food & service!! Only tables are too close together so takes away some of the privacy of your conversations . Would definitely return!
We go there often and have never had a bad meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
We had a nice time. We enjoyed that the full menu was on restaurant week- great value. Our server was not 100% well versed in the menu, but he was very personable and we enjoyed his service
Went with a group during Frederick Restaurant Week. What a deal! We happily shared bites from every dish and were all impressed. Plates are presented beautifully and recipes are packed with flavor. I'd heard that they are particular about using fresh, seasonal ingredients and that definitely showed through. It's a casual atmosphere with upscale food. Worth checking out if you get the chance. BTW, my friend said that, after tasting their "BLT" with tomato jam and house-cured bacon, she'd never want to eat any other version. My sherried mushroom/goat cheese strudel was divine.
Great experience and great service!
On top of the fabulous meal we purchased two bottles of wine from the sampling our waiter put together for us. Desserts our top 5 ever.
First time visit thanks to Restaurant Week. We enjoyed a nice tasting of three Spanish wines and a local doublebock. The three course special menu for $22 was a good value, but the prices otherwise would have been a bit steep.
Our two excellent salads were a romaine with smoked trout, and a house cobb. Our entrees were a fantastic burger and a nice rainbow trout. Desserts were a rich chocolate peanut butter pie and pavlova.
We’d go again, but probably only for a special deal of some sort.
Sunday brunch was delicious. Nice menu with many options. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked! We've visited here previously and have always enjoyed the food. Obviously, they focus on having a great wine selection.
Overall, it’s a solid restaurant. I feel like they try a little too hard to be unique. We had the mussels which were quite good. The butternut squash filet was so so. The swordfish was a bit dry.
This meal will be remembered for a long time. My wife and came in with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it has raised the bar for every anniversary meal we’ll ever have. The food and overall experience was so beyond what was expected. From the thoughtful card waiting at our table to the time the staff took in pairing wines the meal could not have been better. Chef Jeff Beard and his team made each plate unique and fun to eat and discuss. We loved the pace of the meal and could not recommend this spot enough. I can’t wait for our next big celebration!
Great food and wine. We enjoy the Frederick restaurant scene, but somehow Wine Kitchen tends to rise to top (the cream of the cream...for us). Anyway, one of us faces dietary restrictions (no gluten and no cow milk). The servers and chef never complain. They always take care of us and no taste sacrifice.
This is my go to restaurant for consistently good food and great wine. They made my birthday absolutely special (without singing thank god)
I love this place.
Food was amazing and the service was excellent.
Enjoyed Sunday brunch sweet potatoes chicken quiche. Delighted with sampler of the wines, all quite good at a reasonable price. Definitely returning to enjoy this place again.
Good "special" selections this night that two of our party ordered and very much liked. The regular menu is a tad different than the normal fare but it works exceptionally well! Great spot even though a hike from our homes in Silver Spring.
We will not try to have dinner with friends on a Friday night during happy hour again...a small bar, but VERY loud.
Went for a celebration of my daughters birthday. We had a wide array of entree selections from just appetizers for entrees to steak and lobster. All were well prepared and served at appropriate temperatures , well garnished... good value for price.
excellent wine flights offered and liquor selection includes some outstanding local offers. Well worth the trip
Wonderful restaurant! Made reservations for my husband's birthday and we had a great experience from start to finish. When we arrived, there was a thoughtful, handwritten note to welcome us and wish my husband a happy birthday! Service was top notch; friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious and there were so many unique choices...and the wine flights are a lot of fun! We will definitely be back soon!
We had a great meal and service was excellent. Raw oysters, Venison Ossa Bucco, and Filet Mignon were all prepared perfectly. Drinks were good too. Excellent service and relaxed atmosphere.
This was our first visit and boy did brunch impress us! Yum! The Sea Buscuit (a lobster biscuit smothered in lobster-bisque-like gravy and scrambled eggs was decadent. The Maryland Benedict was equally as good - we took advantage of the 3 for $26 brunch and it was a bargain! We’ll be back!
Four of went for brunch. The daily quiche special was good but the rest of the entrees were really blah.
Our service was seriously slow. Our server rarely stopped by our table, so our drinks were empty often. We had to ask her to tell us the specials and for a dessert menu. I may have enjoyed it more also if the tables weren’t so crammed in next to each other. At one point the lady at the table next to us basically was in our conversation bc we were almost touching elbows. The flights of wines and spirits were unique and enjoyable though. The duck was amazing, but for the price point I’d rather have a quieter dinner elsewhere with better service and more personal space.
We arrived 10 min early and there is a small area with a fireplace and a couple seats to wait tO be seated . To the woman in this area you are rude and show no sign of intelligence what so ever !!!! Sorry .....back to the point , the food was amazing, service was awesome! We will definitely be back with family and friends!!!!
