   The oysters with mignonette were outstanding, as were the steaks. Service was excellent and courses were well timed...a rarity these days. We will absolutely be back.

   Staff was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I came in at 2:30PM, but we were unaware they were still serving lunch. We wanted to go early for an early dinner so that we can spend some time downtown Frederick. They made accommodations for us no question. The food is amazing! Our steaks were delicious and the portions were perfect!

   Presentation of food was on point. Flavors were good. For me the quality to the table is what is missing. Getting cold fries - when the fries are ordered as an add on, is not good.

   We ordered two specialty cocktails, Hot Fun and Pharoah’s Dance. Both were really good! Food was outstanding. Favorites were the Mac and cheese and pork belly with grits. Wagyu flank steak was tender and delish. Would definitely recommend a visit. Didn’t have room for dessert.

    As much as I’ve liked dining here over the last few years, I feel that the food has gone downhill. Our wagyu steaks were tough and very salty. I was served a glass of Chardonnay that was very cloudy—should have never made it to the table! The raw oysters were decent but very small. Side dishes and dessert better than the appetizer and main dishes. Disappointed.

    Alyssa was awesome. Extremely attentive and helpful and pleasant. Everyone was nice. Went during the week, so the noise level wasn’t too bad. Split the butchers sampler and it was enough for 2 people. Adored the tastings that we had, and the bottle of wine we purchased for home.

    Well my wife & I celebrated our 17 anniversary We have a good time, the food was very good we enjoy it all & the service was great very kind of the staff to make a desert for us saying happy 17th anniversary that’s was good we really appreciate it.

    FABULOUS, as always. Staff- amazing. Food-amazing. All around vibes-amazing. Had dinner Saturday night and came back for brunch on Sunday. All pros and only con is the cornmeal pancakes are no longer which is devastating but not a dealbreaker. Thanks WK crew for consistently being the best!

    Overall the brunch meal was 3+ stars. The food included some big hits (salmon toast, hazelnut cake) but unfortunately included a miss or 2 (bland eggs/potatoes/sausage dish + small portion, and french toast that was offered as an entree but was only 1 small slice of regular bread with no accompaniments except a syrup and a little cream, which is more suited for a kids side item than an adult entree). The tasty items were good enough to warrant a return visit but will try dinner next time for a fuller food experience. The location by the creek/aqueduct is great, which adds to the overall ambience (especially for patio seating). The inside area at the front of the restaurant offers window or near window views which is nice. However, the booths and seating area away from the front of restaurant are rather secluded, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. The price can be a little costly depending on item(s) ordered but is generally reasonable considering what you get in food and ambiance, and is on par with similar venues. I would recommend visiting but with tempered expectations.

    The food was amazing as always. The duck was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The acoustics however are still pretty bad. We could not hear our sweet waitress go over the contents of our charcuterie platter over the table behind her. And throughout the night our neighbors conversations were overpowering and it was hard to hear my husband sitting across the table from me. We love The Wine Kitchen and will continue to go. We both just wish it was a little quieter.

    As always, a great dining experience at The Wine Kitchen. The service is consistently excellent, as well as the food. My sister and I shared the salmon en croute and I enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. Looking forward to when it’s warmer outside and we can dine on the patio.

    Always great. We were late for our reservation 😔 and the place was packed. But as always the team was fantastic & accommodating. They were able to seat us. And we had a pleasant lunch. The food & beverage were terrific & the service (from host to server) was excellent. Thank you 🙏 ☺️

    We got the chicken parmesan... it was fried chicken, deep fried without much creativity. The kids got mac and cheese: uninspired. We also got a pork chop which was OK. Not a good food place. The service though was excellent.

    As vegetarians and having had the long-standing tradition of coming to the Wine Kitchen in Frederick, MD as our go-to special event venue since they opened many years ago, we have been disappointed this year regarding the food selection. In the past, there was no need to fret over what we would 'be able' to eat, and our last lunch was very disappointing, with only one option on the menu. We also attempted to rent the space in November for our rehearsal dinner and the cost was outrageous, paired with a limited menu; there was no up-side for choosing them as our venue. The new interior design makes the space feel cramped and unpleasant. I am not sure that we will be back. There are so many other options now in the Frederick area.

    Did not meet expectations at all. We had the gold waygu streaks. They are supposed to be some of the best in the world and we have had them before and cooked them ourselves. The portion was tiny for the $59 pricetag. They were flavorless, way oversalted and tough. We also ordered the short ribs. They were particularly bad- Incredibly dry, though and clearly overcooked. It was like a bad pot roast. The appetizers were good. The dessert, which was a goat cheese cake was absolutely dry. The service was lovely and our waiter was excellent but We would never return based on the shockingly poor quality of the food.
