Valentine’s Day. Had a table reservation but decided to dine at the bar. It was nice and comfy.
Favorite place in Frederick! You can't go wrong with a glass of wine, a cheese board, and a steak.
Wonderful restaurant right on Carroll Creek. Nice atmosphere, good food. I will be back.
Excellent food , service and ambiance! Highly recommend!
Good wasn’t as good as usual. The room was very loud also.
Fantastic experience, loved the cozy atmosphere . Wine was delicious!
We were extremely pleased with our server this visit. It was a celebratory brunch and the food was amazing. We were able to get as private a table as possible there which was our request. I would recommend wine kitchen anytime for special occasions or date nights. It’s beautiful and the food is always on point.
My favorite restaurant in Frederick! This is our go-to for special events or a simple date night. Always great service and the food is wonderful! Bring back the Ojai Sauvignon Blanc please! :)
The menu online is different from what the restaurant had. I was wanting to order specific items but they weren’t on the menu I was given. The portions for the cost are not right. Our server was very nice and friendly.
Wonderful atmosphere and I loved how we were not rushed through our meal.
Service by Cat was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The food was exceptional. The green salad was so fresh and flavorful, even without the smoked trout. The mussels were just the right thing to have on a chilly about to become rainy Saturday, all that delicious broth and bread to soak it up with! My friends were just as happy with their selections: burger, Cobb salad, butternut squash soup, another green salad, mushroom pappardelle. A great start to our Fire and Ice adventure!
The Wine Kitchen is consistently amazing. We always enjoy bringing friends here for the first time, and they always like it as much as we hoped they would.
Both the duck and the filet mignon were delicious
Terrific dinner. Loved the seasonal choices. Plenty of menu variety for all in the party. Oyster special was a great value and oysters were delicious.
This is one of our favorite spots in FREDERICK. We are moving to Florida and took our adult kids out for a farewell dinner, everything was lovely. We will miss the Wine Kitchen!
Great food. Great service. Great deal. The two course lunch special is the perfect reason to skip dinner.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our dining experience at the Wine Kitchen. The food was very good and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.
Brunch was so nice. There was a small delay getting seated, but that’s because they were very busy. But once I was seated, the server was attentive, he made great recommendations and the food was wonderful. I got the quiche, the tuna tartare mini tacos and the opera cake. All were very good. And I never felt rushed. I am definitely going back again.
Food was delicious! Definitely recommend the mussels, very delicious in the lemongrass broth! I would say make a reservation as it does get busy. Cocktails are worth the price! Overall a nice date night outing.
My boyfriend and I came to The Wine Kitchen for our anniversary and were very pleased with our experience! The wine was delicious, the service was exceptional, the ambiance was pleasing and the food was incredible! I cannot wait to return.
Great experience! Love it, just loud and dark!
We were very pleased to have the big table in the back for my wife's birthday. My wife's entree, the rockfish, didn't wow her, though wasn't bad. We're typically wowed here at WK. Also the server didn't seem to be that knowledge about the wines. We will be back, but just not our best experience here this time.
A great place with delicious food!!!! We go there whenever we can. Especially recommend the Mushroom Struedel.......
We were a party of three celebrating a birthday. We each tried a different wine flight - definitely a fun way to start. We loved the commentary that accompanies each wine. We each had the 3 course dinner from the DC Restaurant Week offering. Two of us had the Peruvian chicken which was delicious. It was not something I would have cooked at home and that was part of the attraction - a new taste and beautifully prepared.
Excellent food and service in a pretty setting
During D C Restaurant week we got our favorite table and began with Madhouse Oysters from Fishing Creek along with Bourbon and Wine Flights. We ordered from the set aside menu which proved to be creative and satisfying. The manager whom is new I believe, and wait staff were appropriately attentive, friendly and informative. This was among our best experiences there.
We went for winter restaurant week. The food was excellent, our service was good. We waited a little longer than I would have expected between the appetizer and the main course. It's a little loud, especially as the tables are really close together.
As always, a wonderful visit. I love this restaurant, from the excellent food to professional staff. On busy nights, seating can be comfortably cramped, but on a weekday, it’s open and easy to get seating.
Excellent brunch menu! Terrific, welcoming kind service as always.
We had an outstanding experience from beginning to end. My husband has a hearing impairment, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Our server was charming, witty, and super professional. We never had to wait or ask for anything, as she was way ahead of us. As this was a celebration, we had a lot of dishes that we were trying/sharing, and the timing of the delicious dishes was ideal. The manager (Laura) was funny, kind, and on top of everything. She made my dad feel very special and even had a birthday card ready for him, as we were celebrating his 81st that day. I honestly think it was the best quality meal that we ever had at the Wine kitchen, and we have a long history with WK both in Leesburg and Frederick for both date nights and family gatherings. We would not have changed a thing about our experience, and we cannot wait to return!
A great special occasion spot - very rich food but Carroll Creek walk is right out the door. We all thought the food was really great but indeed very rich. Service was excellent. Wine tasting was fun - good wines for the flight but the descriptions were more humorous than useful. Pricey but great ingredients so it makes sense. We were there over 2.5 hours so that tells you we really enjoyed our experience.
Pick 6 was great and the accommodations were excellent. The scallops and swordfish were cooked perfectly and the peruvian chicken was tender despite it being the breast. Overall a great dinner. Thank you.
Our favorite restaurant
The biggest issue for us was that the waiter was not friendly or warm at all. We waited for 10 minutes before our order was even taken. After that he was completely professional and made sure to check in on us, but he gave off a vibe of disinterest.
Fantastic place for dinner. Food is always on point and they always have a great selection of wines and spirits. This time our waiter recommended the duck and i am glad we listened. it was outstanding. great place for a good dinner or special evening.
New Years eve
Unfortunately the Wine kitchen failed New Year’s Eve. The bar was dirty upon entry (even the olives were bruised and old) crates from the dishwasher on the bar... At only $110 a plate for a fully fixed 5 courses, expectations were not excessive but the execution was overall poor. My table and the one next to me commiserated and wondered if anyone bothered to taste or preview this menu. Presentation being everything... not one of the 5 was visually appealing and only 1 of the 5 courses was at all pleasing to the palate. We both laughed and shrugged it off. Dinner was a joke but we didn’t let it spoil our night.
Great place to brunch!!
Always a great evening
