My wife and I had five friends in from all over the USA and took them to the Wine kitchen for brunch before they had to catch their planes home.
We advised our waiter, Justin of the time restraints we would have, and he went out of his way to make sure the service was impeccable, including making sure that one of our guests who had a dietary restriction, was completely aware of those items on the menu that she could enjoy.
My wife and I have been coming to the Wine kitchen since we moved to this area six years ago, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal, and a great atmosphere with impeccable service. Again, thanks to Justin for making this a wonderful dining experience for my wife and I and our friends.
The food was delicious and the service was great! I made reservations for my sister’s bachelorette party and everyone was very happy with our time at The Wine Kitchen.
The Wine Kitchen never disappoints. It has remained our favorite restaurant in Frederick (which is really saying something). The staff is always very friendly and the food is always cooked to perfection.
Space between appetizer and main was just too long. Otherwise great experience.
The Wine Kitchen is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Downtown Frederick for special occasions. The staff is super friendly and helpful. In the summer months, there is seating outdoors which overlooks the creek. Very romantic. The food is delicious and no matter what you order, it will blow your mind.
Sam and Dave are the best! Let them help you decide what to order! Sam was so kind and shared all her favorite spots in Frederick with us too.
Amazing dishes from starters to dessert!
We went for our 9th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The service was attentive, but not rushed. The food was great. And the wine is excellent.
Enjoyed a nice birthday luncheon, service was exceptional and food was very good. Only downside was it was a bit noisy.
Our experience this time was exceptional all around! Great Service! Great Food!
It felt like our first time coming here, everything was on point! Restaurant staff was friendly and cordial, service was expedient, and we ordered the 14 oz Rib Eye and the new fancy desserts and they were all delicious! Thank you Wine Kitchen, we'll be back soon!
I decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week and visit this restaurant... While my husband and I were not thrilled with the special prix-fee menu being offered, we decided not to order it. However, we were so impressed with their regular menu. The food ordered was very, very good.... starting with the lobster rolls (shared) and pappardelle (also shared...outstanding); my husband had their burger (awesome!) and I the scallops (YUM). We each had a flight of red wine (3x glasses each)... Bill was under $100!
When we were seated, there was an anniversary card on our table, signed by the staff...what a warm welcome! We will surely be visiting soon again.
Good food and good experience.
We enjoyed Sunday brunch with my in-laws. Everyone had a very good meal. It was a little loud in the restaurant. My son in laws meal came out late but they did comp is meal along with a Bloody Mary that my husband had to ask for twice which was very nice! Overall the meal was very good but the service was slow.
Took forever to be served our beverages.
Our waiter was beyond amazing. The food was terrible.
The wife and I finally had a night out from the baby, and we could not have picked a better place. We showed up early for our reservation and sat outside enjoying really good flights of wine and bourbon. Once our reservation time came the hostess and waiter kindly escorted us to the table.
From there we enjoyed some amazing wine (I recommend the flights if you aren’t sure of what you want) and could not have been happier with the ribeye steak we had for dinner. It was melt in your mouth great with just the right amount of flavor.
It was on the expensive side, so not an “everyday” thing. However if you are looking for a great night out over looking the canal... i 100 percent recommend
Great dinner and service!
The best burger! And what a great evening to sit outside and enjoy the canal.
The salad I had was absolutely fabulous. Unlike most salads, there was little in the way of greenery but huge taste in the skin-on chicken and the dressing. The beautiful water lilies are in full bloom and on display to those of us lucky enough to get an outdoor table in cool shade. I will be going back!
Great food. Good service. Only thing better would have been to sit outside.
The manager tried to accommodate because the kitchen was slow due to another large party. Waited some time for the food which would have been no problem except we had two very hungry children with us.
An excellent restaurant in every respect. The food is innovative without being fussy, the service is attentive without being overbearing. And a refreshing approach to a restaurant, you can hear each other while you are eating. Hopefully when you go you will discover that Noah is your waiter.
The food is always excellent at the Wine Kitchen. 2 issues on this visit. First, we stood at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes with no hostess in sight. Second, we were in no rush but the kitchen was incredibly slow. Otherwise a great a meal.
We had an excellent dinner from the appetizers to the entrees. Wonderful experience.
The food was very creative as I found new takes on dishes that you find in a lot of the new restaurants. I didn't like being seated at a table that was by itself near the door in an aisle. This table should be eliminated. The outdoor seating looked like a festive great atmosphere and I was envious compared to my lackluster set up. The service for our table was very slow and not well paced, which added to my feeling that I wasn't getting the full Wine Kitchen experience that I should have gotten. With so many other restaurants to choose from, I wouldn't repeat my visit here, nor would I go out of my way to recommend it to anyone.
Anniversary celebration and we had a wonderful time!
Best desserts ever, inventive cocktails, wine flights and good food, great location in Frederick along Carrol Creek- what is not to love? One of my favorites
Outdoor seating was great. The service was exceptionally friendly both for the kids and our dog. Crayons, a coloring page, and a kids menu helped the kids enjoy the meal. The food was hit or miss. Fried green tomatoes were very crispy, lobster buns were fresh and hot out of the oven, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Hay brined chicken was rubbery, swimming in a salty gravy sauce, and served on a bed of chick peas and lentils that had a sour off taste. Buffalo cheese fries were soggy. I would definitely return when in the area.
Food and drinks were excellent- as well as the service and ambiance
Always a great choice!!!
We’ve been to The Wine Kitchen quite a few times and always found the food to be creative, well prepared and served perfectly. Today at Brunch I had the peach gazpacho and several other selections. I have to say while all was good as usual, the peach gazpacho was unique and superbly done. The subtlety of flavors was wonderful. Complements to the Chef. If you haven’t tried this place you owe it to yourself to go and enjoy, if you’ve been there you understand what I’m saying.
Food was outstanding. Highly recommend the steak flight - 3 different cuts of beef, each one divine! Leave room for dessert - loved the tropical pavlova!
Excellent all the way around!! Steak flight was amazing!
Very nice place for a dinner in Frederick with the view. Ive been there many times and like their food
What a beautiful place! The weather was perfect and the natural shade cover on the patio kept everything cool. We hung out for three hours with two dogs. The service was perfect and attentive to Flora Springs Sauvignon Blanc was amazing and the butter not squash is stupendous. Highly recommend and will return many times.
Wonderful food! The peach gazpacho was superb. Lovely views of the creek too. Only drawback was the noise factor indoors.
Gentleman who seated us was a bit brusque. Table seating was at computer and wait staff had to squeeze past. Food was ok but I’ve had better of their butternut squash - it was a bit undercooked and hard. Wine selection is always great and waiter was very good.
The food was outstanding- we had the butcher's flight and everything was perfectly cooked. The service was top notch- several waiters noticed we were low on water and would each take it upon themselves to fill our glasses as they walked past. We sat outside which was beautiful. We had excellent wine pairings- we each tried a flight as well as a glass of a red with dinner. We had their almond chocolate dessert, which was fantastic with a variety of flavors that created a really excellent, full, rich flavor. Finally, we had dessert wines, and especially enjoyed the montepulciano wine- really top notch.
the sommelier was very engaging and helpful. as always, the dishes are top notch. we tried all appetizers for our meal - peach gazpacho, lobster biscuits, grilled octopus, and my favorite of the evening was the beet carpaccio salad! a true taste sensation. one of our two favorite restaurants in Frederick. if you are a true die-hard foodie, this is the place to go.
Great food and service. Outside and was very pleasant overlooking Carroll Creek.
I thought the duck breast was excellent, mu wife had the halibut and she recommends that.
