Executive Chef Jeff Beard has created a menu that defines the modern chophouse genre. Our wine list of over 50 wines by the glass is curated by our wine director Justin Langley, and is organized in tasting flights that can be either paired with your meal or enjoyed on their own. We also offer an exciting, seasonal cocktail list curated by our world class bar manager, Erin Lamb.

Our general manager, Laura Dubrule, ensures our guiding philosophy of offering truly great food, drink, and hospitality in their purest forms, consistently exceeds our guests expectations.     The Wine Kitchen is always wonderful. Food is delicious and menu is diverse and interesting. The paella and the sauce on it was amazing. My wife felt the same way about the rockfish and the sauce with it.

    We ate brunch on a Sunday morning. The food was very good, high quality. The service was excellent. The menu could have some additional new items for brunch, since we have eaten here several times before. Overall, great place for brunch.

    We had the Salmon en croute shared meal. It was one of the best meals we have enjoyed in recent years. Our server, Olivia was knowledgeable efficient and charming. Highly recommend!

    We had brunch on a Sunday at noon so it was very busy and moderately loud. However, service and food were exceptional as always and this restaurant is in my top three in Frederick for entertaining friends or family.

    We have never been there before. I found it online, so no personal recommendation. Thanks to other reviews to help us find this spot. Food was good, different choices, but not overwhelming. Pumpkin coconut soup delicious, paired it with the Scallops. Very fulfilling. The wine flights available were helpful. Cider sorbet yummy! Check it out yourself!

    Excellent dining establishment. BEEF is the primary protein, but, some variety with pork, chicken and salmon alternatives. Cocktail offerings were limited but very refreshing. Dinner for two option with either the beef or fish is the most economical selection. Wine pairing with dinners was just fine (as one might expect given the name, the wine list is extensive).

    I would give it five stars except our server was pretty bad…didn’t introduce himself, didn’t make any suggestions on menu, didn’t inform they were out of items, gave us dessert menus and never came back! Food was excellent and atmosphere was fun but loud.

    This was a dinner worthy of the good news we were celebrating. Food was very good, especially the scallops and tortelloni. Service was a bit confusing. Five people in addition to our server came to our table.

    Excellent experience thanks to Caitlin and Sam. We went to dinner for my mother’s birthday. She was greeted with a birthday card and numerous people stopped to wish her a happy birthday. It made her feel special. Thank you The food was delicious. We had the short ribs for two with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I would change nothing. It was a very large serving. My mother had rockfish. The sauce was cold but they quickly fixed it.

    The very best food in the DMV! Bar none! The food and service staff at Inn at Little Washington cannot compare. And yes, I frequent the Inn. Highly recommended. Center booth facing the windows. My wife and I will return, with more family and friends too. Thank you, Marla, and staff, for making a fantastic birthday dinner with my wife the best. Regards, James

    Everything was delicious ! The mussels were outstanding! I would appreciate the oysters more if they were separated from the shell. The service was perfect. We always feel pampered at the Wine Kitchen.

    Amazing! Adjusted meals for 1 who is vegan and gluten free. The vegan mushrooms tasted and looked JUST like my scallops! Mouth watering. Cocktails were wonderful as well. To perfection. Cannot wait to go again.

    The Wine kitchen is almost always perfect. I think the B Team was working Tuesday. The mushroom pastry (my favorite) was cold and quashed. The side salad greens were wilted. The server only came back once to check. It was my guests 1 time. SAD!

    We thought our brunch was delicious, our server was outstanding and he was the best I've experienced in a long while, and the wine options were terrific. The creative names of the tasting flights and the wine descriptions were fabulously innovative. We would love to go back to the restaurant soon and wish it were closer to Arlington, VA. It sure made a fantastic brunch experience and first trip to Frederick, MD for my friends and me. Please open a Wine Kitchen in Arlington, VA!!

    Sunday brunch was excellent - house-smoked salmon toast and oysters on the half shell to start, then fried oysters Benedict (great) and the daily quiche, thick and creamy with a delicious homemade crust - both super. And of course mimosas. Our waitress, Mandy, was perfect - friendly, helpful and smiling because we enjoyed our meals so much. Also, go outside and walk along the bricked-in creek - very neat aquatic plants in the summer and a very quiet no-traffic get-away from the streets outside. Easy parking a few steps away too which for that part of crowded Frederick is a plus.

    We had brunch here several years ago and it was excellent. Dinner is a unique experience and we really enjoyed it. The menu is very interesting and eclectic. Deviled eggs ( none like them anywhere)and olives for the table. The pumpkin coconut bisque amazing and the octopus salad excellent but spicy. My wife enjoyed the ribs and outstanding mashed potatoes I had the wagu flank super tasteful with the butternut squash. Excellent house bread. Incredible cocktails. Service very good. Thanks Guy and Cat Super chocolate cake with ice cream.

    The food was good. Waited at table for about 10 minutes before having to stop an employee to ask who was servicing our table. The music was a little loud and it was challenging to have conversations with staff and people at table.

    We went for a 50th birthday with six people and it was fabulous. They provided such nice touches and everyone was very attentive. The food was well prepared and delicious. We all tried different dishes and enjoyed them all.

    Beet salad was wonderful. Mussels were bland and toast points were burnt. Seafood paella had no broth and rice was hard and crunchy-not edible. Hanger steak and sautéed green beans were fantastic. Overall food was not the quality of past visits.

    We always enjoy the Wine Kitchen. Food and wine are great. They did us a favor by giving us a nice window table for our anniversary. We always try something new and have never been disappointed. It is our Frederick favorite.
