Outstanding, as usual! Locally sourced, delicious, creative, unpretentious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktails and wines are also superb.
We had a wonderful girls lunch!
Usually we love the wine kitchen and it is our go to place for celebrations as well as brunches. This Saturday brunch, service was a bit slow and inattentive and we were disappointed there were no specials
Always great service and fantastic food and wine!
Amazing spot will be back.
One of the best in Frederick!
We went to The Wine Kitchen for Sunday brunch, a group of 7. Everything was fantastic, from the friendly and helpful hostess and waiter to the fantastic food! We will definitely be back - of special note, the French Toast was perfection!!
Always a pleasure to dine here and the food never disappoints. Thanks!
Always a good pick. Great food even better service. I typically have a very leisurely brunch catching up with friends/ family. Easy parking, too
This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants!!
Always delivers on the food, ambiance and service!!
The regular prefix menus for NYE was good but some if the items for the vegetarian prefix menu were under seasoned or bland. The environment was really noisy and seating us extremely close to the people around you. Do I think the food is worth 100 bucks for 6 item prefix... ohhh. Would I go back for regular dinner, sure for special occasions maybe.
Dined on NYE with special 6-course Prix Fixe menu for $100 each. Interesting and very tasty selections. Accommodated food allergies and an alternate desert by request (5 stars for effort). Would try the restaurant again someday for regular food options due to the many great reviews on their regular menu. If romantic/date night out, though, request a table with 'some' privacy. Most tables too close to other diners. We heard every word of parties on both sides of us... and heaven forbid if we had to get up to use the restroom with how close the tables were to each other. It's not that we're unsocial folks, but the seating was just a little too close for comfort. Maybe it was a NYE setup to maximize customers, but it looked like it was the usual setup. Otherwise, very attentive service. Nice decor. Right on the creek.
Great restaurant but unfortunately the table right next to us was extremely intoxicated and very loud. Their child was running around and obnoxious as well! Very disappointing for the money we spent on our own table for 5 that evening.
My husband and I went for our 29th Anniversary and we had a wonderful meal. The WK is our favorite downtown restaurant by far. The food is excellent to the point of sighing a little with every bite, the service is unparalleled and the ambiance is very pleasant. When booking with OT I checked the "Anniversary" box and we were served a delightful Cava upon arrival and happy wishes from our host and server. Beautiful mussels, to die for scallops, tender perfectly cooked duck and ridiculously light and pleasing banana cream "pie" followed. This establishment knows what they are doing! We topped off the meal with an espresso martini and a "taste" (I love that you can try just a little of something special) of Mason Rouge. We try other places of course but we always come back to the WK. They are the best.
Fantastic meal - the cola-coated sirloin was excellent, and the wine flights are always great!
I think there was a bit of miscommunication between management and wait staff. Due to it being a special birthday celebration management presented our guest with a “complimentary” charcuterie plate. When we got our bill our waiter had added the cost. No big deal and mo complaints from us. . . Just thought you’d like to know. Regardless, food, beverages and service were wonderful. Highly recommended.
Wonderful meal at The Wine Kitchen, as usual. We invited a family member from Montgomery County up to Frederick for a holiday dinner at The Wine Kitchen and we had a great time. It was her first time at The Wine Kitchen and the food was delicious and we all had a wonderful meal.
You never disappoint!!!
The food was creative and good as usual. Some Appetizer portions seemed smallr than I recalled. Great short rib. Great chicken. Cobb salad and papardelle appetizer not noteworthy.
Our dinner was exceptional. The food was about the best we have had and the wine choices were very good.
Had a great evening, about 2 1/2 hours of amazing food.
Wonderful meal and ,as always, great service. My favorite Frederick restaurant.
The Wine Kitchen never fails! Out of the numerous places to eat in Frederick, The Wine Kitchen is by far the best. Service is always good and their staff is very nice. Their food is the BEST and their selection of meats leaves you pondering on if you made the right choice because they’re all so good. Their Wagyu steaks are good as well as their butchers flight. Not to forget, their butters are AMAZING and gives your steak the perfect taste. Their Bone Marrow butter in my opinion is their perfect butter to eat with your steak. Would definitely recommend!
Food is always fantastic- great service
This was a special occasion for us. Our sons just came in to town from TX and CA. Both of our sons had the sampler beef including WAGU steak.
Both plates were clean.
This was our second time dining at The Wine Kitchen and our food was outstanding. I had the 16oz Ribeye with Bone Marrow butter, Brussel sprouts and the mini tuna Tacos. We had a group of 6 and everyone loved their meals except for the Short Ribs. They were tough and pretty dry. I had them during my first visit here and wasn’t really impressed with the Short Ribs either (they were dry and not very flavorful). 2 of us had the Ribeye and it was arguably one of the best steaks we have ever had. Better than some of the top steak houses around. Charred to perfection, cooked perfectly, and super flavorful.
We will definitely be going back, but I think we’ve learned to stay away from the Short Ribs.
We have dining at The Wine Kitchen 2 or 3 times per year for a number of years and have NEVER been disappointed!
We visit the Wine Kitchen often and would normally give it a 5 for both food and service. Something was really off with our server, left and replaced without saying anything. When we asked, we were told he was talking with the manager. I hope the manager was telling him to up his game, he never came back. Worse service experienced at the Wine Kitchen. The food was good portions seemed smaller than normal, one of our party left hungry. Not a very Merry visit, thank goodness our friends were fun or the even would have not been pleasant.
We had the mushroom souffle, and it was absolutely delicious. Service was great, and the house Cabernet was perfect.
The Wine Kitchen never disappoints! They always have amazing seasonal vegetarian entrees! Not just boring meatless pasta dishes but well thought out, balanced dishes. Great wine selections!
If you have never been to the restaurant, it is a little confusing to get there. Parking is in the rear in a parking garage. Food was very good. Very extensive wine list. Overall it was a very good experience.
Went here for our 20th anniversary and had a nice dining experience. Menu is a bit pricey but overall the food was delicious. Waitress fell behind a little as the restaurant became busy. Wait times between drinks was longer than what should be expected at this price point. Atmosphere is very classy without being stuffy. Definitely a great choice for that special occasion.
The food was great and the service very good. We will return...
Food is good but the service was slow and they seemed understaffed for a Friday. Would love restaurants to offer options for appetizers when there offering comes with 3 and you have 4 people. Charge more and give 4!
Great first experience, we will definitely be back!
Wine Kitchen in Frederick never disappoints. The wait staff, management and bar staff are wonderful and kind. The wine is a creative list and the food is exceptional. They nail it on every front.
Terrific on all accounts. Will b back and bring friends....
Prime brunch dining
Great food and wine... but probably the worst service I've ever had in my life. Waiter only came over when we called him. Didn't check on drinks, poor communication. This guy clearly picked the wrong profession. Condescending, arrogant, and overall a genuine jerk. That said, the food was fantastic!
The food is amazing here. It’s such a treat to walk near the creek and have a wonderful dinner.
This restaurant would be considered four stars for Frederick, MD and you’ll have good service. I had the trout and the portion was small. The server was great. The restaurant is clean and updated. The private rooms are nice. Where Elise can you feed for adults with appetizers, drinks and main meal for leas than $200 in the metro area? Good value .
