Amazing as always.
Great food and service! The manager came out to speak to us amd was awesome.
My husband and I had a beautiful Valentines Day at The Wilson. The place is picture perfect and the ambiance will make you want to set up house and stay forever. The food was something of God and the service was just outstanding. Our waiter was so attentive, kind and super fun. Our new go-to spot.
Upbeat meet up location with a great food selection and great service!
This place is terrific, we go there often with our dog(yes they welcome dogs and have a special dog menu).
The food is complex and tasty. The drinks and the wines are superb and the service is outstanding.
I also had a buisness dinner there and my employees were raving about the place..
Highly recommended!!!!!!
This restaurant is right near our office and a perfect spot for off site lunches. They have great salads and the menus is well priced.
Solid food, Extremely nice and efficient servers. Louder in the open, glass well-lit front section. Quieter in the comfortable back section.
It is a very noisy place with chatter and music. The food was good but too prricy
We came for the oyster special on Thursday & ordered one entree from the table as everyone had a dozen oysters. The oysters were high quality and the drinks were good. I did like the entree we ordered, but in one star off for the short menu. I just think a few more dishes could be added.
We had a large group of adults celebrating my birthday. The entire service team made me feel special and ensured we had an excellent experience. We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. The manager even brought us complimentary dessert with a birthday candle, and a staff member was kind enough to take a group photo of us. We sat at our table for over two hours and never felt rushed or unwelcome. After dinner all of my friends said what a great choice the restaurant was. I would not hesitate to recommend The Wilson for a special occasion.
By far my favorite place to eat in NYC! My husband and I ate here the first morning of our honeymoon in the city and ever since we have visited The National each time we have been in the city! We loved bringing our three children with us this trip and sharing the delicious food, great ambiance (all be it a little more energetic with three children dining with us!) but the attentive staff made it oh so worth it for all of us!
I had 6 people for dinner and everything that came was terrible and I never complain about restaurants. I had the burger it was fair, the chopped salad was arugula swimming in dressing it was mush, the signature chicken was dry and the ravioli was terrible.
We had breakfast for 9 on Sunday. Sunday early is only buffet but it was very delicious.
Food was good but overpriced for what it is like the rest of this restaurant group's places. It's a good option in this neighborhood, which doesn't have much, especially near MSG. Do yourself a favor and don't order the $8 bread - it's 2 pieces and some pita. Ridiculous they even charge for bread.
BEST place for dog lovers! The service is excellent, super friendly staff and they treat your fur-friend like a guest. We love this place for any get together.
Fabulous food and amazing staff. Glen and the team made us feel so welcome and they accommodated all our requests with a smile. The cocktails were perfect, just a top experience. We will be back and recommend to friends.
Fantastic food, service & ambience. The staff really make you feel like a valued customer and the lunch menu is awesome. Will be back!
We sat downstairs, and it's very lovely. Our table wobbled though, and no one was able to fix it so we had to contend with that. The food was great, but the service was slow and inattentive. However, the manager was very nice and was quick to process our credit card once we received the check.
My only regret is that I didn't know about this place sooner! The service was great, everyone nice and attentive. The food was delicious and there was such a great variety. The almond ricotta ravioli dish...wow! I'm not even vegan and it blew my mind. Also, you have to try the espresso flan with doughnuts. The drinks were also great, bartender even made us off menu cocktails that were amazing. Definitely returning.
The food and atmosphere are really good, but the attentiveness of the service is lacking. The appetizers were brought out just before the entrees arrived.
I had brunch there. The food is awesome. And the deco is delicate.
Very busy on a Wednesday evening. It took 10 minutes for a server to approach our table (and only after we asked), and he was a very odd guy. Started with the tuna tartare, we both had the falafel waffles and ended sharing their cookie skillet. The food was all very good. The service wasn’t great, and it seemed like there was one waiter for half the restaurant. We consistently had to ask for water refills. The manager kept checking on us and it felt awkward. The whole vibe was uncomfortable. But- loved the food! Maybe order for delivery?
Almond ravioli is not good! Needs to be taken off menu
The Wilson was a great date night for my husband and I. We shared a bottle of wine and all of the food together. The tuna crudo was light and refreshing and just what I wanted after a warm day of wandering through Chelsea. The octopus was prepared wonderfully and the brussel sprout tacos were definitely a treat! The scallops are definitely a must try- very tasty! We also had the special that evening, which was a pan seared branzino. It was my first time having branzino and the bar has been set really high.
Sal was our server and took very good care of us. He gave wonderful recommendations.
After we finished dinner, we waited almost an hour before somebody checked on our table again. We were hoping to have a quick business dinner and it turned into a nearly three and a half hour meal. We asked for the check four times before somebody finally brought it.
We really enjoyed the setting at the restaurant. The food was a nice quality but found the sauces a bit bland. Scallops were cooked beautifully.
Food is incredibly mediocre. Disappointing because spot is so cool with outdoor patio.
Excellent food and experience! I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian options
The Wilson is a well-located gem close to FIT and Penn Station, with a great outdoor area well protected from the elements. The food is delicious and the service very attentive and informed. My only complaint is that the wine list is limited and liquor prices are high
The Brussels sprout tacos were excellent! Good food....not outstanding. The service was good.
Great birthday service!
Food was mediocre. Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing to rant about. Service was bad. Slow, not attentive, shared conflicting info about the menu. I’m giving it two stars for the decor and the $7 brunch cocktails.
Met a friend for an early dinner. We were seated outside as we requested...it was a good table. Drinks were great. We both ordered a rose mix with some vodka in it...very light and smooth. We started with grilled octopus...cooked nicely. I had an arugula salad with salmon. Salmon was done to perfection. Our waiter was very attentive, and kept checking in on us.
It was a little noisy but it also was happy hour. Other than the noise level, I would return, esp for that drink!
Nice place with a great outdoor terrace. Food was excellent but the staff not so much.
A/C wasnt working very well but management and staff all very nice. Food slow coming out of kitchen but I think there was a back up. Bartender seemed a little stressed and a was a little abrupt. I put it down to the heat! and will give this place another chance..
Women’s World Cup Final
It's a great place for brunch and with a group of friends. we really enjoyed it. There was a great vibe. Awesome music.
Came for my Labrador's 13th birthday and had a perfect experience. Really good food + excellent service = highly recommend.
Those was not an enjoyable experience. Our waiter was incompetent and not accommodating. Firstly I ordered a Sazerac and he mentioned that they do not serve those. I explained to him that this is a classic cocktail and he still did not seem to understand my order. This signaled for me and my friend to order appetizers and entrées at the same time.
Our server took our order however over the next thirty minutes he returned to our table to be reminded of everything we ordered. This delayed our meal at least by twenty minutes because all parts of our meal were placed in segments. For instance he returned to remember our appetizers eight minutes after the initial order, turn fifteen minutes later asked how I’d like my steak prepared for my lobster and steak. Afterwards he came and offered to refill my drink.
A team member of his did try to assist which was appreciated. This doesn’t negate the fact that this service wasn’t befitting to the reviews or the demeanor of this place. As a customer, I felt discriminated. This was an evening dinner on Sunday. The restaurant was not busy, yet, my service was given no attention while other families and small couples were serviced. That and the « we don’t serve Sazeracs comment » is what compelled me to leave this review.
Loved the outside patio location on a lovely spring evening. Greeted by very enthusiastic waiter who was professional and made a great first impression. The food was outstanding. Great seafood preparation and my pad Thai noodle dish was extremely creative and delicious. Cocktails were also extremely creative and a cut above the norm, as was the excellent wine list. Desserts were also imaginative and well done.
Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. I usually shy away from loud music-dominated venues, but the noise level, though high, was tasteful. I can't wait to visit again on my next trip to the City. My compliments to the chef and wait staff. This was great dining experience.
